He was only joking when she asked how he's feeling, not knowing how much it means to her.
Had she been worried about him?
In a twisted way, his heart couldn't be happier knowing this.
He tried to sit up and grunted in pain when his head went dizzy for a second.
Keith turned to face her and pulled her hands from her face, lifted her chin and wiped her tears gently.
He opened his arms, and she immediately jumped into his embrace. He stroked her hair and patted her back gently and mumble sweet words to comfort her.
"I'm sorry..." she mumbled on his chest.
"It's not your fault, sweetheart. Don't cry anymore, alright?" he kissed her forehead repeatedly.
Lifting her chin, Keith kissed her eyes, cheeks, nose, and gaze on her parted lips. He tilted his head and pecked her lips. However, it was not enough. He needed more of those lips. So, he kissed her longer than he intended to. It seems like, his tricks always work. She's no longer crying. They pulled away breathlessly.
The sun is setting out—the watch on his hands, indicated that it was almost 4 in the afternoon.
"Let's get out of here," he said to her and Vale nodded in agreement.
Keith sat up, and Vale holds onto him, supporting his massive body. She leads him up on the mysteriously organized flat rock.
After what he felt like an hour, which was only 10 minutes to be exact, they finally arrived back on the clearing. He was amazed at how Vale knows the shortcuts to get back here using the rocks, which he had never seen before.
He sat on the passenger seat and she went to the driver seat. Keith leaned on the car seat as tiredness overcome him all over again. His heavy-lidded eyes finally close without force.

Vale hesitated on whether to go back to Keith's mansion or her mansion. Afraid of what she's gonna face in there. However, He needs treatment, and she doesn't have any qualifications to attend to a patient's wounds.
After an hour of the drive, they arrived at his mansion and Vale parked the car on the parking slots nearby the entrance. She went out of the door and went to the passenger seat before waking Keith's up.
Seeing the spot of blood from the gashes on his body made her heart ached more than it already was. She was careless and useless.
Keith grunted as he opened his eyes before turning his head to her. Vale gulped and turned away from him in shame and sadness.
He slowly got out of the car and draped his arms on Vale's shoulder and made her stiffen. They walk into the mansion and she was about to lead him into the emergency room when he stopped.
"Where are you taking me?" he asked.
"To the emergency room, you need to be treated." she frowned.
"I'm fine, I don't need treatment," he said through clenched teeth.
Vale rolled her eyes mentally at his ego, reaching her hand up to hit his head and made him groan in pain.
"Now what do you say, boy?" she asked him with annoyance.
"I'm not a boy," he said, scowling and giving her a piercing glare.
Vale scoffed.
"Let's go. My god! Can't you just stop with your ego for a second...?" she scolded him while she dragged him to the emergency room.
He groaned as he follows her unwillingly.

Keith pursed his lips as he sat on the bed after being treated by the private doctor. He put his plate of food on the table beside the patient's bed after finishing my meal.
Vale was sitting on the chair beside the bed, playing with her phone, ignoring my scowl on her. She finished her meal earlier and instead of feeding me as a sweet couple does, she take out her phone and had been lost and transported to the world of her games.
Having had enough, Keith grabbed her phone and slid it into his pants pocket. The sound of her game character is killing him.
"Keith!" she got up in horror as she jumped on the bed and attempted to take the phone back from him.
"You've been playing since forever while your boyfriend is being ignored. How heartless are you?" he asked her in a fake hurt tone.
"Give me my phone back right now!" she demanded as she stands straight with her hands on her hips.
Keith ignored her as he crossed his arms and closed his eyes, leaning on the headboard of the bed.
"Okay, fine! What do you want?" she flopped back on the chair as she huffed.
Opening his eyes, he met her gaze and stared into her eyes, trying to read what's hiding inside her head. Vale looks away as she gulped and played with her fingers subsconsciously.
"Why did you run away?" he asked her.
She coughed, "I... I didn't..." her voice lowered as she squirmed on the chair.
"Oh? So, where did you go?" he asked her again, tilting his heads.
"I...I was just taking a..a walk..." she stuttered.
Keith clenched his jaw and he grabbed her arm, pulling her towards him, making her squeal.
"Why...are...you...lying?" he asked in a gritted teeth as her body plopped down on top of him.
Vale whimpered as she struggles on his holds. Growing more agitated, Keith hold her waist and gripped it before moving her closer towards him.
His breathing becomes laboured, seeing her only with the thin fabric on her body, remembering that she had taken off her shirt to bandage his head.
Her face flushed red when she noticed what was happening to him.
Holding her with one arm, Keith gripped her jaw and made her stare on his face. Her eyes were filled with mix emotions.
She holds onto his hands that was gripping her jaw as she licked her lips. Keith stifled a groan at those tempting sight.
"Say, why are you lying to me?" he asked her again in a low voice.
Her breathing turns labour as she tries to move away from his holds once more. He growled when her movements were not helping his condition at all. He let go of her jaw and hold her close as he buried his face on the crook of her neck.
"Stop moving," he said huskily.
She stilled as Keith try to control his breathing before latching his teeth on her tempting neck, sucking on it. Her fingernails dug into his skin as she whimpered.
"Who is that boy, Vale?" she gasped when Keith nibbled on the soft spot behind her ear, "What were you doing with him? What's the relationship between you and him?"
