'Most people probably knew me as Sheila Davis," she added and Sapphire stared at the woman in front of her with wide eyes, what the hell was she talking about? She glanced at Alexander who was glaring at Shirley before turning to look at Sapphire with concern when he heard glass shatter behind him.

'Are you alright?" He asked and was by her side immediately, he made her move away from the glass and ran a gentle gaze all over her body, checking if she was injured.

'I am okay," she said quietly, she raised her head when she heard Shirley scoff and stared back at the woman whose eyes were now filled with disdain.

'I am Shirley Sheila Myles. Alexander's ex-fiancé got into an accident, the car blew up and my body was never found," She explained further when she saw the look on Sapphire's face, her smile now mocking Sapphire. 'I am sure that Xander told you that I am dead . . . no he didn't need to tell you. It was known worldwide."

'What are you doing here?" Alexander asked and Shirley shook her head at him as if she found his question ridiculous.

'I thought that it was finally time I visited my fiancé who is now with another woman," She said simply, her gaze settled on Sapphire who was standing behind him. 'Don't worry about me creeping up on you guys like a ghost and uninvited, Alexander knew that I was coming."

'You knew about this right? Why did you tell me that she was dead when she wasn't?" Sapphire asked but the man didn't answer. 'Actually don't bother to answer that. We are going to deal with that later. First of all, let me have a talk with this woman," Sapphire said and turned to stare at Shirley with a fierce gaze, the surprise and shock were gone from her eyes and replaced by determination.

Alexander nodded at her, a bit surprised that she was still taking it fairly well. He hopes that it would stay like that because Shirley would say a lot of hurtful things, he always knows his women well and even though he hates her now, there is no denying that she was once his.

'Oh really? I am glad that you are civil enough to allow me to talk to you, there won't be much talking to be done by the way. Just five simple words, get out of Xander's life," She said and Sapphire started chuckling.

'Are you for real?" She asked in between laughter and Shirley stared at her with a raised brow. 'Just in case you left your memory at home, I would do you a favor and remind you," Sapphire said and advanced towards Shirley, she stopped in front of him and stared straight into her eyes.

She told this woman that this is her home, she meant it when she said that and she isn't going to let some strangers break it off for her, she won't back off and turn a blind eye.

'You are the stranger in this place. This place belongs to Xander and our kids, you are not in the picture. Just some ex-girlfriend he told me he hates with every drop of blood in his body," She added and Shirley pursed her lips and started from Alexander to Sapphire then back to the man, he eyes flickered to the framed picture that was hanged on the wall and started laughing like she just processed a complex joke.

'What? What the hell are you talking about?" Shirley said, still laughing hysterically. 'What do you mean by Alexander, you and the kids, you are not even part of the deal," She finished with an eye roll.

Sapphire crossed her hand over her chest and stared at Shirley from head to toe with a knowing look.

'I see that you have done your research and got that Alexander isn't the father of the kids, he accepted all of us the way we are and we got his back too, the only thing that connected you guys is the love he had for you and I am sure that that love is lost, now that we have established that fact would you make yourself scarce?" She asked with a raised brow.

'It seems like you have not realized this, Sapphire. I didn't say that the kids and you are not part of the deal, I say you and that means only you. Those kids you called yours aren't actually yours and would never be yours." She had now moved very close to Sapphire. 'Like you said I did my research and I have been able to come to the confirmation that those kids of yours are mine in every way which means they are Alexander's too and deem us by extension, the family here. You. Are. The. Stranger. Do I need to spell it out for you?" She asked and Sapphire stared at her dumbfounded.

'What nonsense are you ranting?" She asked with a beating heart. She had an idea where this was leading to and she is praying fervently in her mind that she is wrong.

She is not sure if she can handle it if Shirley is. . .

'Remember that woman who used to be your neighbor in Wellington? Kat? Well, I am the one that entrusted her with the duty of raising the kids. Am I still ranting or you already connected the dots?" She asked, rolling her tongue in her mouth, staring down at her.

Sapphire felt the space close up on her and heard a loud ring in her head, she felt herself get dizzy and unsteady, she freaking needed some air, she had to get out of the house now before she went crazy.

Why on earth is everything happening one after the other? Can't they give her some breathing space? Whoever it is that is doing all of this.

No wonder she was very confident when she was at the door, Shirley knew that she had all the winning cards and knew how to play it well.

What an irony. She tried her best to find the kids' parents and finally gave up when she got no lead, then she got married to Alexander and found herself hoping and wishing that the kids are the man's, he felt absolutely sorry that the man couldn't father a child and his fiancé ran off with his successor.

Her prayer got answered and the man is really the kids' father, they are his children, but also Shirley's and even though she knew that the kids would never want to go with Shirley, there is no fighting that she is their real mom.

She lost her own kids long ago, she lost Matthew, she lost her trust in her grandmother, and the kids in the space of a week.

'Sapphire," Alexander's voice rang in her ears and she turned to look at the man. Had he known about this too? He didn't seem shocked or surprised in the least at the information.

'You knew about this too?" Her voice was small. 'At least you should have told me that the kids belonged to your ex-girlfriend, I would have known where I stand in the midst of all this nonsense!" She made her way towards the door, her eyes were dry because no matter how much she tried she couldn't bring herself to shed a tear, even though it hurt like hell.

'No, Sapphire, wait!" He said in panic, it was so evident in his voice as he tried to follow her. She is getting everything wrong, there are still a lot of questions that need to be answered. She would overthink and send her mind into overdrive if she was alone by herself.

She turned swiftly to glare at him when she deduced that he was trying to follow her.

'Do me a favor and stay here Alexander, I really need some time alone to gather my thoughts." She said and ran out of the house.

Alexander tried to follow her out despite her warning but Shirley held him back, he turned to glare at her but she smiled at him instead and interlaced their fingers.

'Alexander, I still love you. I know that you have been informed of all the things I did but that was because I was afraid. I don't remember the reason why I need leverage against you now. That shows how unimportant it was to me. I lost my memory and the only thing I could remember at first was your name and the face of the kids, you have to believe," She said desperately, she looked pathetic with her lips turned downward and her eyes staring at the floor.

She kept biting on her lips and blinking, it seemed like she was trying to keep tears hidden away. Her beautiful black eyes stared up at her with pleas in them.

'I would be better than I was, I would be better than Sapphire would ever be. Honestly Alexander, she doesn't deserve you, she is too much of a turd to deserve, tell you_" Shirley said snarkily while thinking of the woman who was behaving like she owned Alexander but she wasn't able to complete her words because Alexander's hand was on her throat, gradually suffocating her to death at an alarming speed.

'Are you crazy, Shirley? Not only did you come into my house and say some useless shits. You have the guts to call my wife a turd to my face?" He asked and tightened her hand around her throat, she removed her interlaced fingers from his and tried to remove his hand from her throat but he wouldn't budge.

'We still haven't had our discussion about how you had the guts to run away with my babies and throw them from one orphanage to another like they had no family.

Forget about not loving you not in the least anymore, what I really told Sapphire is that if you weren't already dead I would kill you by myself. If I had known that you were playing dead I would have hunted you down and ended you, I don't intend to go back on my words nor do I intend to make it quick."

Shirley's face was already turning red from all the suffocation and tears were leaking from the corners of her eyes. She kept trying to talk but couldn't get the words out because of the obstruction.

'But you would have to get the fuck out of my house now because Sapphire is more important than you and so is finding her than your death." He growled before flinging her towards the exit of the house, she hit the wall with full force and fell to the ground with a loud thud, a groan fell from her lips.
