Chapter 33

Anastasia wondered, did she really have his heart? He had spoken of his love for her a lot of times. Yet she hadn't even thought of her love for him. Besides, she hadn't tried to tell him she loved him too. A lot of times she felt so full of happiness being with him and she found that she was always eager to be with him. But looking at him now, he just seemed so precious. The kind that always attracted a crowd of girls. He was just too beautiful and she was lucky to have a mate like him.

Right now, Draco was teaching her some moves that would help her weaken her opponent. Anastasia focused on the way he moved and the way he fought agressively. Even in bed, he moved that way. Although sometimes she liked his sweet gentle side. His face was serious but Anastasia couldn't brush off the thought of his face as he ate her last night. With a groan, she shook her head. She couldn't believe training with him would still fill her minda with dirty thoughts. Perhaps this wasn't the right time to think about it.

"Watch out for your opponent's next move," Draco warned as he moved quickly to tackle her to the ground.

Anastasia fell, yet again, for the nth time. It seemed her mind was baffled. Draco had tackled her to the ground multiple times. Though she had to admit, he obviously was going easy on her. He didn't agree to let her train with someone else. Anastasia wondered if he just wanted to train her himself or if he was concerned with anyone else touching her and getting too close to her.

"What are you thinking?" Draco whispered beside her, taking her attention. Anastasia quickly brushed the thoughts off her head. Until now, she couldn't stop thinking about the two of them. Things had changed and now she wanted to know if she truly felt the same for him. Of course, there was that sexual attraction between them. And she was attracted to him. But was this what she wanted? Not just now, but forever? To be his Luna. To be his Queen.

If only she had a way to talk to her wolf.

"Nothing," she answered, sitting up. "Just thinking."

"About what?" he questioned, as he raised himself and sat right beside her.

Anastasia pulled up her legs up, hugging herself. "I just.. I don't think I ever thought about what will happen once we caught the bad guy. Shall I stay here? With you?" She looked at him then and he was caught off guard. His brown eyes spoke so much. She knew he wanted her to stay. She could feel his wolf begging for her to stay.

But then he took a deep breath, holding her hand. "That should be your choice," he answered with sincerity. "It doesn't matter what I want.. I just hope you know.. No matter what happens, I'll be here for you."

Anastasia took a second glance at him. She knew he was a possessive man. Letting her go wouldn't be that easy for him. And still, he chose to let her do what she wanted. That was so unselfish and touching. It made her heart burst with happiness, made her feel connected with him and his wolf. Was it true that it once a being was fully taken by her mate, it would make them powerful? Even for a mere human like her?

"But what if," she began, "I'm not a werewolf?"

Perhaps her father was right. There were no signs that she was a werewolf that's why he chose to hide the truth from her. What if she was no powerful werewolf like her mate? What if she was just a normal girl who happened to be an Alpha's mate?

"What do you mean?"

Anastasia sighed. "What if I'm just human? What if I can't connect with my inner wolf?"

"Patience," he said with a grin, as if there was nothing to worry about. "Let time pass and you will find your inner wolf. She's just there, inside of you. Perhaps sleeping." Draco chuckled but Anastasia returned it with a glare.

"Don't worry, baby doll. You're just a late bloomer."

Anastasia couldn't help but pout. "How do you know?"

"I just know," he simply answered. "You'll be one of us when the time is right."

Deep inside, she hoped it was true.

"If you say so."

"Take a break for now, little mate," Draco said, coaxing her head. "We'll train again later."

Anastasia gave him a sly smile. "Okay."

Draco proceeded to talk with Edward about something private. She figured it was about guarding the borders. With some energy left, Anastasia went towards the women's comfort room and decided to wash her face. Looking at the mirror, she could see she was so sweaty. Draco, however, had seemed to find it entrancing with the way he looked at her. It promised something vicious. Well, she ought to know what he planned for her tonight.

Her body felt so drained. Thank god Jenny was there to provide her some fruit juice and some treats. She was a delight sight during these hard times. Anastasia took one final look at herself when she noticed someone behind her. It was the blonde girl whom she had seen talking with Draco in the pool last Friday night.

Today, she looked more elegant. With her blonde curly hair and tanned skin, she looked flawless. Anastasia was caught off guard when she went to the sink right next to hers and locked her eyes with hers. There was something about the way she looked at her. She seemed furious but calm. Angry yet contained.

"It seems our Luna has persuaded our Alpha to train her," she began with a tone of envy. "What makes you think you can be one of us?"
