Chapter 34

1082words
This woman was seriously mad about something and Anastasia wasn't sure if she should be dealing with it right now. The woman looked at her with fierce eyes, as if she wanted to hit her with fire. Still, Anastasia remained neutral. She should focus on getting back to training with Draco. A few more minutes with her gone, he'd worry about her.

"It seems our Luna has persuaded our Alpha to train her," the blonde girl began with a tone of envy just before Anastasia could get to the door. "What makes you think you can be one of us?"

Anastasia frowned. Was she supposed to know something here that she hadn't been aware of? "What are you talking about?"

"You know what," the blonde girl spit, now glaring at her with evil eyes. "Innocent girls like you don't have a place in this world. You're nothing but a pathetic weak human."

Anastasia felt her heart racing. So this was how it felt when she heard it from someone else? What did she do exactly to make this woman upset? First, she was out there talking and obviously flirting with Draco. And now she was here confronting her, saying things that didn't make sense.

"What—"

"Oh, stop acting like you own this place. Just because you're our Luna doesn't mean you should be respected and treated like a queen. You know nothing about us. You know nothing about him!"

As hard as it was to accept, Anastasia had to admit she hadn't known Draco for so long and she hadn't learned his history. It was true she was just a mere human who came here out of nowhere trying to fit in to their world. It must be hard to accept, to have a mere human for a Luna. But wasn't that why she was here, training and having memories with the pack? She wanted to know the Alpha better. She wanted to be with him.

It would take some time for her to be accepted by everyone and Anastasia was understanding enough to accept that.

"You don't deserve to be our Luna. He shouldn't have found you," the blonde girl continued. "My life would've been better if you didn't exist!"

Hands turning to fists, Anastasia knew she shouldn't be letting this woman's words affect her. But she was just too vocal about how she perceived things. Why was she so upset? What kind of woman would say things like this to someone who she should be respecting? What was her name again? Anastasia was sure she had heard it somewhere.

Oh, right. Wendy.

This girl better know her place before Anastasia would have to put her there. It was time she knew what's boiling this woman's blood.

"Listen.. Wendy," Anastasia resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She knew she wasn't fit to be a Luna. Atleast, not yet. But she would be once her training was over. She'd make sure of it.

"I didn't ask to be here either," she continued. "I didn't ask to be taken away and be the Alpha's mate. But guess what? Here I am and I'm your Luna now. So either you will suck up to it or I'll make your life a living hell."

This Wendy girl probably thought she was just a weak girl. But times had changed. She wasn't as weak as she had been. Anastasia would make sure she'd prove that to everyone. Now she felt it was so right, she was destined for far more greater things in life. Not just to live a normal life.

Wendy laughed. "You think of yourself as one of us now but you're just a low life girl who got lucky. Well, you're about to get unluckier. He will find you and will put you where you're supposed to be. And Alpha Draco will be mine."

"Who's he?" Anastasia asked. Was she talking about what she was thinking? Being taken away and imprisoned to hurt the Alpha's heart would be such an evil thing to do. That was her worst nightmare. She could only imagine what Alpha Draco would feel but this woman.. She was selfish and cruel.

"None or your business," she answered. "Why don't you go back to where you came from?"

"Why do you care so much about me? What did I do to make you this angry?" Anastasia questioned, still trying to figure out the pieces.

"Because you're not supposed to be here! I was meant to be his Luna! While you were out there living your 'normal' life.. he.. he was mine!"

Speechless, Anastasia was beyond shocked to even speak. This woman.. She knew well how to get in her nerves. This piece of information alone was enough to make her mad and she was doing well in proving so.

"What do you mean?" she demanded.

"Alpha Draco is mine! You should learn to know your place. You don't deserve him!"

So Draco and Wendy.. They had been together before? Anastasia didn't know what to say. How did this happen? Why hadn't she known anything? Draco had been hiding a lot of things from her but this one..

This one was the worst.

Even though it had happened in the past, Anastasia still didn't feel good knowing that this woman used to be with her Alpha Draco. She knew she shouldn't be hurt but this woman obviously still wanted him. And she was so damn manipulative.

"You're not welcome here anymore, Luna," she snarled.

Just before Anastasia could say anything, Wendy prepared to attack her. And she was fast.

But training with Alpha Draco for a week had taught her so much. Anastasia quickly dodged the attack and she reached her hand to grip the blonde's neck instead. Wendy slipped and bumped against the wall, shock written all over her face.

"I think you're mistaken," Anastasia whispered to Wendy's face. "I'm stronger than you think I am."

The sound of gasps quickly echoed behind her. When Anastasia turned to look, she saw the guys all piled up through the open door, looking at her with awe. A wave of pride washed over her. But there was one face she was more than glad to see.

Draco.
