I knew I was so defenseless that I didn't have any choice but to run. I hid in several rooms but he would always sense where I'm at immediately. He would either punch or kick the door open, and me? I'll just open another connecting door, repeating the process until I was left to bump into a solid wall in front of me.
There was no door left!
I gulped, turning my back when he opens the door with a frustrated face. He said, "Are you done playing around?"
I panted, I was not ready to face him yet.
Currently, I still have Charles traces all over my body and the fact that he's exposing himself in obvious danger, didn't help to elevate my mood right now.

I sneered at him, displeased that he was forcing himself again. "Are you out of your mind?! do you know where we are!"
"Christal... Listen to me." He takes a step towards me but I took a step back.
"Don't come near me," I growled.
There was no way I would let him go near me. If he does, he'll surely hate me for letting Charles touch me. Just the thought of it was enough to make my stomach turn. The memory becomes so vivid in my head that I almost threw up, desperately trying to recuperate my mood at that moment.
I fell on my knees, while I covered my mouth.
When he tries to come again, I shouted. "I SAID DON'T COME NEAR ME!"
"Damn it! what do you want me to do?! You're obviously sick right now!"
"I'm fine." I huffed. When I finally got my balance back, I slowly stood up and stared back at him with glaring eyes. "Why did you come here? Coming into the enemy's den, is this suicide?"
"I came here for you!"
"I don't need you." I spat out. "Go back to your mate, Alpha King."
"You know she's not my mate." He said with a pained expression, his chest rising. "You even made me remember you again, after all of that just why are you doing this again?"
My heart clenched, as I got overwhelmed seeing him look at me with hurtful eyes. I unintentionally was unable to stare back at him, my voice cracking when I said. "This is fate, we were not meant to meet in good faith."
"Are you fucking serious right now?"
I didn't answer.
There was nothing wrong with what I said, it was exactly how the Moon Goddess cursed us. After all of the things, we went through, I'm sure it's all because of that damned curse.
I chuckled bitterly.
"Answer me!" He growls with intensity. When he started to force his way towards me, I didn't care anymore.
Let him hate me.
Everything happened so fast that I just let out a blank face when he slammed me against the wall, as soon as he sensed what I was fearing the most. I stared at how his eyes darkened in anger, his grip on my wrists tightening, and the bloodlust oozing out from him.
It hurts.
My tears started to fall due to the fear that I was on the verge of losing him.
I smiled. "This.. this is your answer."
**CHARLES'S POV**
I balled my fists in anger.
No matter how much I tried to open the portal, it always forces itself to close due to the remnants of Dark magic. I know that it'll eventually wear off, but the thought that the fucking dog is targetting Christal made me furious.
"How dare him!" I heard my bone cracking.
He's definitely buying time.
"Milord," A voice calls.
When I turned I saw one of my men and a dark witch sprawled on the ground. Since I ordered them to take back a witch alive after this damned witches made such a big problem to prevent me from going back.
I lowered myself and grabbed her hair to face me. "I praise your master, look at how he just sacrificed everyone just to get his lover, don't you agree with me?"
I was expecting her to have the same hatred but it was different from what I expected. She snickered and started to laugh hysterically, "Isn't the Alpha King amazing? how ruthless aye?"
I furrowed my eyebrows.
Tsk, Looks like rumors about Dark witches being crazy were true.
"How unsightly." I scrunched my nose in disgust before burning her alive. My men and I silently watched her laugh even when I ignited her with a blue flame.
After she finally turned into dust, my man comes up in front of me. "Milord, they all retreated to the pack kingdom, there's a surrounding barrier so we couldn't go any further."
I looked around us.
The flames in Center city continued to burn, not a single citizen was found anywhere. I frowned, the Alpha King knew we were coming and prepared beforehand. I expected them to retaliate but not this soon.
It only means one thing.
I smirked, "Trying to snatch my girl away? How ridiculous."
All I got to do is wait for a short time left before the remnants of Dark magic disappears in the portal, once it does I'll immediately seal every entrance and exit in Mist territory after entering with my men.

"You can meet her, but you won't be escaping damned dog," I muttered to myself.
I stood quietly in my spot, waiting for the minutes to pass by. It took only about 6 minutes before the portal was able to function again. I didn't waste any more time and headed back to Mist territory, back to our castle.
I left my men and rushed back, only to see the entrance filled with dead bodies of my servants. Tsk i placed half a thousand servants to watch over her but look how useless they are.
I walked past them and stomped my way towards where she was, At that moment, I was sensing what she was feeling.
Fear.
Pain.
Every emotion that she was feeling was being sent to me, to think that even her feeling of love towards that damned dog was also there, angered me to the point that I swore that if I saw him, I'll make him taste what's like to live in hell.
When I kicked the door open, that's where all my predictions until now betrayed me.

When they both saw me, Christal immediately pushed the Alpha king towards an unknown portal on their back with an anxious expression.
I didn't know what was happening but I know one thing. I had a hunch that if I don't catch her right now, I'll really lose her this time. That's why I almost used all of my current ability to go to her spot, but even such speed was not able to reach her in time.
A hand grabs her from the portal making her eyes widened in shock. Our eyes lock with each other before she was sucked in with the Alpha King.
By the time I arrived, the portal had already closed down.
