Chapter 180

He hasn't even heard all of our conditions yet he's just bluntly agreeing to it? But what's bothering me more was the fact that he wants to block my meridians!
Blocking my meridians means blocking the mana flowing inside of me. In short, he wants to seal my innate magic ability.
He's crazy!
I glared at him. "Hah, have you finally gone crazy? why would i let you lock my powers?"
"Didn't you want an alliance?"
"What does that have to do anything with blocking my meridians?!"
"Take it or leave it." He smirks, "Since you want me to help you so bad, did you think i would just let you? You know me, i don't like deals that don't benefit me."
That's right, he's that kind of cunning vampire after all. Going back to those times, i always have known that Ramuel dislikes doing things for free. But his request baffles me, he could've asked for something else so why is does he want to do something that doesn't benefit him?
There's only one thing i could think of.
I raised an eyebrow. "How does your request benefit you at all? for what? entertainment?!"
"After all these times, you still think i'm playing with you?" He chuckles bitterly.
"Aren't you?"
I scrunched my nose in disgust, remembering the days when he experimented on my body just like i was some lab rat of his. It was that time that i recently became a Dark witch. The Magnus family took me in after the Great White witch stripped off my powers, i thought it was simply pitying that's why they took me in.
But just as anyone was saying.
You shouldn't trust any of the great six pureblood families, since they are the most cunning species ever made by the gods and goddesses.
"Did you think i already have forgotten what you did to me?" I said, my voice cracking. "You tore my body apart, made me eat and drink unknown substances... it's was hell. But don't worry, i'm not scared anymore. I've changed, but you? you're the same arsehole like you've always been."
He gives a bitter smile. "I did hurt you, but didn't i help you after you escaped? how can you forget my kindness?"
"Kindness?," I shook my head. "I don't even get you. You experimented on me then threw me away. You even told me you'll grant any of my favours- so why are you blaming all your deeds on me? aren't you delusional?"
His eyes widens as if it was the first time he realized it.
Truthfully, i didn't have any choice left so i have no reason to refuse his request. I don't know what he's planning by blocking my meridians but i knew that it won't affect ou plan anyway.
I sighed, "Fine, i'll let you block my meridians. In return, you have to tell all we want to know."
"Sure," He smirks, "But i should remind you, the clock is ticking. We can't talk today sadly, my men have already gone back to call others. It would be wise to just talk about the deal next time."
What?
My eyes widened. Both I and Jaxon turned around towards the spot where his men were standing earlier, to our surprise he was right. His subordinates were no longer there.
I can't believe it.
"What the hell?" I hissed.
"I won't go back on my word, we'll meet again."
"Hah! do you think it's easy to find you?!"
He smiles, "Don't worry, i'll be the one to find you."
As soon as he said that, i didn't hesitate any more and used my wand towards his left arm, the ice around it dissolving at the touch of my Dark magic.
He flinched in pain, wincing at the dark magic seeping through his skin. Once his arm was out, he abruptly snapped his fingers and released the spell.
Everyone around us started to move again.
I sighed.
"Don't forget what you said leech." Beta Jaxon lowly growls at his kneeling state.
Ramuel glares back, "Of course, furface. After all, aren't we allies now?"
"Allies my ass, you think we trust you? if it weren't for information, i would've bitten your head off by now."
"Oh really? how scary." Ramuel says in a sarcastic tone. "You just caught me off guard, you're not even that strong yourself."
"What?" Beta Jaxon growl, irked.
He was about to grab him but i stopped his movement, blocking his path, "Beta, please stop. We don't have any more reason to fight."
He pushes me away, "No reason to fight?! what the hell will i say to Alpha king Zyrus if i go back empty-handed?!"
"The plan changed! it's more beneficial to have an alliance with the Magnus family!"
"Fuck that! do you think we should even trust vampires in the first place? are you fucking ridiculous!"
I sighed.
Here we go again.
"Beta Jaxon, think about it. Even if we catch a vampire, do you think they'll give us any information about what we want?"
He shuts his mouth.
So that's the time when i tried convincing him, i said. "You're right, we can't trust them. But at this point, we have no other choice! this is already a good deal, once a vampire bargains with something in return, it's guaranteed to be followed. So it's fine, we can trust this deal at least."
I knew he was displeased, but he was more so when he turned and grumpily walked out on us, leaving me behind with Ramuel.
I frowned.
"Now then, let's fulfill my wish, shall me?" Ramuel says from behind.
I turned around to face him and give him a skeptical look. "Promise me you'll contact us in 2 days, it's urgent. We do not have time to waste."
"How bout this? i give you two things today." He smirks, leaning towards my ear. "I'll agree to see you in two days, and also tell you that our lord will attack CenterCity tomorrow?"
W-What?!
They're attacking again? this time Charles would personally come to attack? now this is great information! Alpha King Zyrus would definitely like this. But.. why is this guy telling me all these?
I gulped nervously.
"Now.. close your eyes, Syrena. I'll be blocking your meridians now." He smiles.
