I took quick breathes before turning towards him. He was struggling as he tried breaking the ice that kept on growing in his body, not giving him a chance to undo the spell.
"Need my help?" I smirked.
Ramuel scowls at me.
"I'll help you but you have to do something for us in return."
"Help me? don't make me laugh! no one but me can undo this!"
I frowned.
It is impossible to break his spell without him lifting it, but there's a way to help him out since he is the caster.
That's right.
I just need to free his hands for a short while, so that he can undo the spell. Although it may hurt a little bit for him.
"Don't believe me?" I chuckled, "This is why you always lose, you always underestimate your opponent."
His eyes opened.
"You.. did you do something earlier?! why didn't my ability work on that furface!" Ramuel yells, his veins popping out.
"You still haven't figured that out? and here i thought you've matured after all these years, how disappointing." I sighed, giving him a sympathetic look.
After that he looked like he didn't want to answer for a while, his chest going up and down as his pale complexion worsened when his lips started to lighten.
That's when i realized something.
I noticed that he was losing his energy at a fast rate. It must be because of his own inherited ability from his family, which has something to do with paralyzing the victim and trapping their movements once you're caught with the magic.
With that in mind, i can't help but remember how Ramuel's ability was perfect for interrogation.
"Syrena, how do we undo the spell?" Beta Jaxon appears beside me, he was already wearing clothes so i sighed in relief.
"That's easy, but we first have to come into terms with him in case he tries something funny after undoing the spell on him," I replied.
"Come into terms? you think that psychopath would listen to any word you say? he tried hurting you, so if he tries to hurt you again, i'll just bite his head off."
I chuckled, "What about the people around us?"
He frowns, obvious that he's worried about the innocent humans who got involved.
Well it was a lie since if Ramuel dies, the spell also becomes undone, but i don't wanna say that considering i knew he'll immediately kill Ramuel on the spot.
I patted him on the back, giving a thumbs-up sign. "Don't worry Beta Jaxon, i've been a Dark witch for decades, there's no way i can't convince this guy."
"If you say so," He gives up, looking skeptical.
I smirked.
I turned to face Ramuel again and took a step towards him, using my wand to lift his chin up, he lets out a grunt. "What are you doing?"
"What am i doing? i'll help you get out from this just like i said earlier. Do you accept or not?"
He glares at me.
"Glaring at me isn't the answer, you're the present heir of the Magnus family, are you so reckless just to let your life be entrapped in your own foolishness?" I said, scolding him in return.
"What do you want?" He clenched his jaw.
I smirked.
"Don't you know what i want? i know you're fully aware of what is happening right now. Two opposing species are on a verge of starting a big-scale war, and currently, the vampires have the upper hand in it since they have reduced the number of senior warriors in every pack. Very ruthless don't you think? So i thought of you when the Alpha King gave us the order to find Mist territory. Since i'm greedy, i don't want to find the location alone, i also want to know what's happening on the side of the enemy. What do you say? Ramuel of Magnus family? Care to do me this small favor?"
His eyes widened. "Are you crazy?!"
"Calling me crazy," I chuckled, "isn't that a compliment?"
"You want me to betray my family!"
"Betray?" I raised an eyebrow. "I know you Ramuel, there's no way you'll suddenly follow a half-demon for a leader. Just what were you all thinking? The great six families of the pureblood clans were reduced to this state?"
"Shut up." He lowers his head in frustration. "We only have one objective, that half-demon is the key to obtain what we want."
So that was it.
Their loyalty to Charles isn't that stable huh, well that works.
"Well, what if we find it for you? Will you turn against him?"
He frowns, "Currently, all the heads of the family is inclined to annihilate the whole werewolf species. We've been secluded all this time due to the last confrontation we had with that god's defective creation. If he didn't exist, we should have been roaming freely without any fear."
My eyebrow furrowed in confusion.

Are they talking about Alpha King Yasha? I've lived for decades and i do know that Vampires do seclude themselves from other species- yet i never thought that it would be because of him that they stayed hidden for years.

"Why do you fear the Alpha king? Aren't purebloods basically immortal?" I chuckled.
"I'm telling you a lot of information, when do you plan to help me you vile witch." He says impatiently.
I smirked, "That depends on your answers, and also don't forget the alliance we just made just now."
"Alliance?" He scoffs. "You're bluntly blackmailing me right now, what alliance are you talking about?!"
"I know you don't like following that half-demon as a leader, i also know you really don't plan to let him do what the hell he wants- after all, Aren't the six families more cunning than demons?"
He smirks, "You know us so well huh"
"Hmph, of course. I've lived with your kind for a while, only a fool wouldn't get used to their habits by now."
"That's right, we don't like him." He bluntly confessed, "He's just a puny half-breed vessel of the devil, although i do acknowledge his strength, it makes me disgusted that he's just playing around with us. Can you believe it? he just suddenly thought of leading the 6 families just for a girl, just like the prophecy."
I frowned, Christal.
"It makes me puke." He scrunches his nose in disgust. "The curse of the moon goddess is involving everyone around it, even the six families is displeased with this. But we can't do anything about it since it's fate that's bound to happen, what's worst is that, we're still not sure if the current Alpha king has the same abilities as Alpha King Yasha."
"What? why do they have to be worried about that?"
"You don't know? As i told you earlier, we feared the existence of Alpha King Yasha since he defied the laws of nature. He's a godly weapon himself, even purebloods like us fear that guy. He's immune to any magical attacks or any abilities directed to him, what's more he has a monstrous ability that surpasses every species in the continent. If the current alpha king do possess the same trait, then this war is gonna take a whole lot longer than we thought." He sighs, "I don't know what the gods were thinking, they created him yet wasn't able to control him- fucking dumb gods."
Too late then, the Alpha king today is just like the Alpha King Yasha in the past. So Can Alpha king Zyrus really be a god-tier weapon?
I mean i did consider it since the heavens were eyeing the Alpha king every since his teen years. It must be because of that reason that they feared of what he will become.
"Well anyway, even if he is like Alpha King Yasha, we also have our own trump card." He smirks, his fangs showing. "At first we agreed in making that bitch the Queen, but who would've thought that she's the girl from the prophecy? You know right? The prophecy isn't completed yet."
I frowned.
Yes, the prophecy is open-ended. No one knows what's the ending of the curse of the Moon Goddess, it is only foretold who is involved and how it started. Actually, I knew about the prophecy but i never thought it was about a werewolf and a demi-god.
How ridiculous, right? i really jumped to my own death just like it said.
"What? Did you just say Queen?!" Jaxon exclaims in an angry tone. "What the hell happened!"
"It's too late," He says in a blank expression. "They already completed the ritual."
My eyes widened.
"What ritual!?" I yelled too, frantic for my gut was telling me something. Whatever it was, it sounded very ominous.
He coughs uncomfortably. "Can you please get me out here first? didn't i share enough valuable information with you? I will agree on all of your terms in one condition."
I was dumbfounded, shocked that he changed his mind so suddenly.
"What? why so suddenly? what are you planning this time?" I raised an eyebrow.
"I'll help you, in exchange, let me lock your meridians."
