She's alive?!
And what is she doing here in all places!
I was so preoccupied with my thoughts about her that i didn't notice the time that passed by, the clock ticking as the silence covered the tension around the room. My eyes never leaving hers, she was the first one to look away.
"The crown is the highest honor bestowed on a queen and to do the honor of crowning our majesty Queen Christal the 1st, may i request one of the clans to bestow the honor?"
Clans?
I raised an eyebrow, looking towards the vampires that were glancing towards each other, it was obvious how they didn't want to take the role.
Yet after a while, someone stands up.
He was tall, has tanned skin and beautiful blue eyes. I raised an eyebrow, no matter how i look at the man. No one would've mistaken him for a vampire if you ask me.
He looked like a werewolf.
"Please let me do the honor." The guy strides in front of me, kneeling afterward with his head lowered.
Do i even have a choice? I sighed. "Please raise you head, sir?"
"Ramuel, i am from the Magnus family."
I simply just nodded.
The coronation didn't last for about two hours, a series of proclamations and the placement of the crown proceeded smoothly. All of them just stared at me without a pint of emotion, their body not moving an inch from their original position in a show for respect towards me, yet it doesn't look like they were happy that a demi-god became their queen.
I could tell, just by how honest vampire facial expressions were.
Did they think they could fool me? Tsk.
Although they are very neutral, i know vampires especially purebloods like to hide their emotions whenever they feel agitated. Who did i learn it from?
Hah! Charles would be the best example.
As soon as the ceremony ended, everyone dispersed in my surroundings, as if they weren't there in the first place. Even the werewolves were no longer to be found as well, which made me think just how powerful that person could be to be able to transport such a large quantity of people at once.
I chuckled bitterly, finally sensing the culprit. "Don't you ever get tired to surprise me? Charles?"
He shows up to the center of the room, giving me a smile, as he kneeled with his eye still locked into mine. "My Queen, so how was it? did you enjoy the coronation?"
"Boring as hell." I bluntly said.
He laughs, "You're not even the slight curious to the people who attended?"
I furrowed my temples, "So you were watching after all."
Tsk, i just sensed him just now, did he deliberately do that? Just how strong is this guy?
He stands, "My eyes never left you if that's what you want to know."
I scrunched my nose in annoyance. "Spare me your bullshit."
He laughs again, this time a bit exaggerated from the ones he did before. He held out his stomach while his hand rested on his temples, after a while of looking like an idiot. He finally stops to stare back at me. "It's really funny Christal."
The fuck he's talking about now?
"It's funny how.." He trailed off. In an instant, he was already beside me, his body leaning down, he grabs a pair of a strand of my hair and kissed it gently. "Our past led us to this situation."
I yanked my hair back, "It's not the past who's leading us, it's you. You're the one causing all of your problems."
His eyes turned fiery red, a frown on his face. "Giving me all the blame again? How cruel."
I flinched, realizing the hidden meaning behind his words. It was how suddenly i heard a lot of voices coming out from nowhere in my head, each of them repeating my sins that led them to their deaths.
This cold-blooded demon!
"Stop it!" I pushed him away. "I already agreed to be your damned Queen, what else do you want!"
"I want you."
I gulped.
"No.. it's more than that." He smiles, sending a shiver down my spine. "I need you. Without you, life is nothing but living in an accursed world."
He kneels, placing his hand on the top of my hand. "You know right? you're the first light i saw back then, thats why i have reached this far just to experience it again- that dazzling light pulsating around you."
What?
"But as soon as i got back after all those hardships, Guess what?"
The ray of hope in his eyes completely disappears after a few seconds, his stare giving me chills. He was smiling yet i was seeing all kinds of evil aura leaking from him.
I wanted to step back, but since i was seated, i could only lean away from him. The crown on my head falls, the sound of it echoing around the place.
That's when i noticed the walls turned back to their original decor- the dark walls.
"The light wasn't so dazzling anymore." He frowns, gripping my wrist slightly and pulling me towards him. His other hand secured on my waist while the other caressed my face. "Your light changed. It was blinding to the point that i started to hate it."
I glared at him, "As i said, spare me all this emotional bullshit you're playing. Do you think i've forgiven you after what you did? You may be in control of my life- but don't forget this Charles."
I grabbed his arm, breaking it in the process. He flinches, wincing a bit from the pain before slowly looking back at my eyes.
Then i said with utmost anger. "I also hold your life, since you kept insisting to be with me, then experience it! experience being played by an accursed fate, let's see how long you'll last!"
But what happened next was completely unexpected. He grins before standing up once again, showing an amused expression, the moonlight reflected his pale skin in view. "Accursed fate? aren't we perfect for each other? everyone turned their backs on us. Not even the gods are willing to hear our sides, you know why? because it's destined from the start."
My eyes widened, he leans closer to my ear.
"This is destiny Christal, it's not an accursed fate. It's simply just our destiny to kill them all."
