Chapter 175

As soon as we arrived they opened the door, my jaw drops at the view in front of me.
It's huge.
It was the largest closet i have ever seen in my life, what's more- the interior was oddly distinct compared to the castle's walls. Still, i liked how vibrant and full of color the room was, the clothes hanged on different shelves of sizes
The servant steps in front of me, bowing with a hand ushering for me to go in, "My Queen, please step inside."
I awkwardly nodded.
I stepped inside, the door closing behind me automatically. It was already weird enough that this place is odd as hell, but if i think about it. The servants is the weirdest of them all.
They all looked the same!
Just as i was thinking of them, i didn't realize that they would immediately surround me on my spot, making me jolt up a bit from my standing.
"What are you all doing?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Milord has given us the order to help you prepare, you are aware, are you not?" She says, not a change of pitch on her voice.
Damned coronation.
I cursed under my breath, "Yeah yeah, let's just get this over with."
The preparation didn't take long. It was only just to take my measurements and immediately alter the queen's dress that was already prepared before i came into the room. As i kept myself busy by reading some books inside the room, i glanced towards how hardworking they looked- no.
More like how robotic they move.
I closed the book in my hands, Are they even vampires? their eyes and pale skin would make you think that, but similar faces and movements isn't a trait of vampires, which makes it suspicious.
What are they after all?
One of the servant's heads turned in my direction. Our eyes locking with each other. "Queen, we have finished the alterations, may we ask you to stand up from there?"
Nodding at her, i stood up then headed towards them.
I flinched a bit, feeling a pang of pain.
"My Queen? are you alright?"
"Y-Yeah."
Damn it, even with the regenerative process, my body is still aching a bit. I touched the surface skin of my neck, suspecting that the wound that he inflicted was the one causing it.
It took me for a minute before i continued my walk towards them. The queen's dress visible to my eyes, i couldn't' help but cringe at the sight of it. Using the color of blood, the design was more directed to the medieval times, the intrinsic lining from the dress carefully mended together.
I wanted to tear down the dress, yet i endured the hatred flowing in my veins.
I frowned.
"Please let us help you dress." She says beside me, taking my silence as yes, they proceeded to help me by removing my robe.
The large mirror standing in front us, i gasped when i saw how my body looked.
What the fuck is this!
My hand trembled in anger, grazing my skin carefully, i observed the marks that Charles left all over my body. I thought i was healed but how dare he to heal my body selectively?!
"That fucking arsehole," I mumbled angrily.
I couldn't contain my anger that i shrugged their hands off away from me, "Let go of me! i won't be wearing anything until i take a bath!"
Thankfully as they listened to his orders, it looks like they also abide to mine. They quietly complied and took a step back, one of them escorting me to one of the bathrooms in the room, i hastily got in and closed the door behind me.
Calm down, i inhaled a bit of air, trying to calm my nerves. As i was left alone to the bathroom, i slid down by the door , my thoughts leading me to how dirty i was feeling as of the moment.
Dirty.
FUCKING DIRTY!
I gritted my teeth, clawing the parts of my skin to cover the marks, even with my sharp claws reaching the deep layer of my skin, it only heals quickly- leaving the marks he left untouched.
"What the hell is this?!" I yelled.
He's messing with me!
I tried calling Gina, yet she was still not answering me after i drank that tampered wine. We both knew it was suspicious yet i still can't believe that even Gina was being suppressed to its power.
Looks like i'm on my own this time.
I sighed before finally taking a bath. Even if i wash myself a hundred of times, i knew i could never get rid of his scent as long as he wanted it there to be so it was no use trying to brood over about it any further. I finally finished my bath and got out, the servants already on standby by waiting for me.
I didn't complain anymore as they dressed me up, also fixing my make up in the process. It was amazing how fast they were going yet every move they made was completely gentle like they've been doing this for so long, trying not to mind it so much, i waited for them to finish their work.
(30 minutes later)
My eyes landed on the mirror, squinting my eyes in displease.
The paleness of my skin was more vibrant as my lips were red just like my dress. But what bothers me the most is the hickeys that he has left that were even visible around my neck.
"Can't you do something about this?" I hissed, placing my hand at the marks.
I'm going to that damned coronation, if people see me like this, what would they think of me?
They shook their heads, "Forgive us, but Milord specifically told us to leave it alone."
My eyes widened.
"Hah," I exhaled in disbelief, "I knew he was petty, but now he's just going overboard."
Although i was feeling so shitty that i wanted to vent my anger out to the servants around me, i endured my state of mind and shifted my thoughts to other things. I sighed, panting a bit due to the excessive anger.
"My queen? We have to go, it's time."
Damn it.
"Fine." I mutter, standing up.
They bowed in respect before guiding me outside the room. I followed behind them when i noticed how different the whole castle looked just now. The atmosphere seemed more vibrant and the dark walls were no longer there, light colors were plastered all over the place.
The weirdest was the sunlight that covered the place, for i never thought sun would exist in the Mis territory. Due to my curiosity, i reluctantly asked the servants. "Is that sun real?"
"Milord made it so."
What?
"What does that mean?"
She blankly stared back at me, reaching her hand towards a door ahead of us, she bowed once again, the others following along towards her gesture. "We're here, please wait here."
I turned away, stepping in front of the spot of the door after they left. As my hand shook in nervousness, i anticipated what's on the other side of the door.
"Our distinguished guests, our werewolves guests, respected clan representatives who are here this evening, generous elders of the members of the Mist Territory, administrators, clan Officers, friends, ladies and gentlemen, good evening. We are gathered here, to Witness the Coronation Ceremonies of HerMajesty Queen Christal the 1st." A guy said on the other side.
I could feel numerous presence in front of me, there's a lot.
"Now dear guests, be sure to keep your eyes open for we are about to process with the entrance of her highness, the Queen."
Not long though, the door finally opens, another servant from the other side reaches his hand to help me step inside the room. I took it as my eyes landed on the numerous of people who also looked at me with anticipation, not a single voice echoed around the room.
Even with how i looked with these marks all over me, they just gave a straight face.
My heartbeat paced as i entered, there was a lot of vampires in the room. But what baffled me was the fact that i was also sensing some werewolves around.
Not trying to pry too much into it, i focused on my steps.
The servant guides me into the throne, the seat beside it from whom i presume was for Charles. I gracefully sat down, puzzled as to why Charles wasn't here at the coronation.
The servant leans suspiciously on my ear. "My queen, milord told us he can't attend the coronation, there was some urgent matte-"
I raised a hand, "It's fine, no need to tell me."
Tsk, who cares about where that obsessive bastard is? i'm happy enough that he's not here to annoy me to death.
He nods.
"Sirs, I here present unto you
Queen Christal, your undoubted Queen: Wherefore all you who are come this day to do your homage and service, Are you willing to do the same?"
The people suddenly went loud, each of them kneeling instantly at my presence, their acclamations ringing all around the corners of the huge room.
They commended, "Glory to Queen Christal!"
My eyes widened in front of me.
All of the vampires were kneeling except the werewolves that looked like they had no idea what was happening. Baffled, they slowly kneeled too, my eyes locking with theirs.
That's when i noticed a familiar person in the crowd.
"Carly?" I mumbled.
