▐ "Don't look at me like that.." He says and looks away. "Why? Why were you running away Christal.. Tell me the truth."▐
▐ "But it's the truth!" I said not regretting anything. I screamed again when he punched the other wall beside me.▐
▐ "TELL ME THE FUCKING TRUTH!"▐
▐ "IT's THE FUCKING TRUTH ASSHOLE!" ▐
▐ "NO! I refuse to believe that unreasonable excuse! We haven't even met ░ yet. What could i have done that made you hate me?"▐
▐"Hmm lets see. Maybe being born into this world?!"▐
My eyes opened in an instant, feeling my tears on my cheek, i didn't even have to be surprised by the despair that i was feeling right now. Even when i closed my eyes, i was being repeatedly reminded by my mistakes from the past.
I wailed, not being able to endure the pain inside of me.
"How foolish of me.." I cried while i laughed, "Did i think i could've changed something if i act strong?!"
I slapped my fists repeatedly on my face, weakening as my cries became uncontrollable- to the point that i was having a hard time breathing.
A memory flashes in my head.

▐"Christal, i'm sorry." He embraces me. "I don't care if you did try to escape earlier, the important thing is you're here in my embrace."▐
▐"I couldn't control my anger, forgive me. And please, don't leave me." He whimpered.▐
I gripped the thin fabric on top of my shirt, my claws going through it, i still couldn't feel the pain even when it started to drip blood.
'Christal, stop it! you're gonna hurt your insides-' Gina speaks up.
"SHUT UP! IT'S BECAUSE OF YOU! IT'S BECAUSE OF YOU! IT'S ALWAYS BECAUSE OF YOU!"
I stood up, aggressively thrashing the place with my rage. Cursing everything as i felt that everything that i did went into the drain. The overwhelming uneasiness that i had been filled before explodes from within me.
"I HATE YOU! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO CHOOSE ME AS YOUR HOST?! WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE BEING PLAYED WITH GODS?!"
She didn't answer.
i was in a point that i was not blaming myself anymore, but to Gina who was being cursed by the goddess who raised her. The feeling of anger and hatred started to swell inside of me as i thought of how futile i tried to change the fate that keeps going back to its own path even when you try leading it to a better place.
"You.. even revived me when i was about to die." I cried. "I was supposed to die that day! it's still because of you!"
I kneeled, my head hitting the ground as i grabbed my hair violently.
"There's no way... i can't think of anything to do anymore!"
I was foolish, i got careless and thought that he already loves me even without the mate pull. I was wrong, our time was too short to even go to that point. Just what was i thinking that i got too confident?
I laughed at my silliness, it took a while before i stopped.
I frowned
When i felt tired, i rested my back on the wall.
My eyes not moving from what's in front of me, all the energy that i had earlier suddenly disappeared, my sobs got fewer and my limbs started to weaken.
Even my mind went blank.
"Christal?!"
"talk to me!"
"You're bleeding so much! oh my god! why are you not healing?!"
"Luna Christal, please talk to me! You can't be like this!"
"It's not the end yet! you have to get a hold of yourself!"
SYRENA's POV
It's been three hours since the incident in maria. When Luna Christal lost consciousness, i decided to take her to my room, no one even stopped me. Probably because the AlphaKing already permitted it.
I was on my way to AlphaKing's Zyrus's office after finding out something inside his body.
When i was in front of the door, i hesitantly knocked.
"Come in." He orders.
When i opened the door, my eyes widened when i saw the red-haired girl sitting on the sofa just infront of him.
She sips the coffee in her hands in a graceful manner.
"Syrena? what is it?"
I snapped back into reality, realizing that i got too shocked that the girl was already hanging around somewhere she shouldn't be.
The audacity of this imposter.
I shook my head, turning my attention towards AlphaKing's Zyrus. "AlphaKing, i have something to report. But i have to request to make... her leave?"
I glanced at her.
She stared back at me, smiling at me.
Not expecting it, my eyes widened in confusion.
"What is it about?"
I gulped, "AlphaKing Zyrus.. i can't say it with her being here-"
He slams a hand on the surface of the table. As i looked at his expression, he was not angry but only frustrated that i ignored his order. I sighed, at least he's not being crazy shit just because of this imposter.
"I asked you, so you better answer."
I nodded.
"It's about the substance we found in our samples."
"The thing that Brianna made me drink? so what's the results?"
I held my head high, confident in our recent findings. "AphaKing, it's a harmless potion, it's purpose was to only loosen the seal that was placed in you. Yet unfortunately, it turns out that it had a weird side effect."
He clasps his hand together, leaning on the table. "What side effect?"
"We're not sure yet, but to be able to find the answer. We must extract blood from Ms. Amber here."
I turned towards her.
When i saw her expression, i immediately could tell that she was related to the potion inside the AlphaKing's body.
She stands up. "What for?! i hate needles!"
I wanted to laugh but chose not to. She's a werewolf and she's saying she hates needles. Just how bad is she at acting?
"How can you say she's involved? do you know what you're saying? You're accusing her with baseless accusations."
Amber agrees with him, nodding her head repeatedly. "That's right! you can't suddenly decide to take my blood without sufficient evidence!"
"Sufficient evidence? Our Alphaking's life could be endangered by this very drug. We are only doing our best to counter any risk that may come. " I smiled at her.
She's acting right? But she can't beat a dark witch like me who has acted in all my life.
Let's see who wins.
"If you care about your MATE, then you should be willing to give the tiniest blood to us. We don't need much, just enough to conduct multiple tests." I smiled again, my teeth showing.
And just as i planned, even the Alpha became suspicious as to why Amber was obviously acting nervous infront of me.
As if she was guilty of something.
"It won't hurt, you should do it." The AlphaKing reassures Amber,
But amber stupidly argued with him.
"But i don't like needles! i just told you! Why won't you listen to me?!"
I arched an eyebrow, does she even hear herself? She's giving herself out if she continues to act desperately like this. I don't know if it was intentional or she was just risking this tantrum to see how strong the mate pull is.
Even i started to become curious about the outcome she planned.
AlphaKing stand up, walking towards her as he places his hand on top of her. He yanks her hand towards him, obviously inspecting her skin on it.
"It won't hurt, you got thin skin, it'll be done in an instant."
"But.. I-I don't have enough blood since i got injured along the way here. I think we should do this tomorrow? Okay?" She stutters but regains her composure in the end.
Suspiciously, even the Alphaking was giving off some weird vibes when he undoubtedly agreed with her request.
I rolled my eyes, does he not know?! she's obviously just dragging time to do something. I knew love can make people stupid but i hope this doesn't affect the alpha king too.
I really hope that's not the case.
"AlphaKing, it's better to do it now-"
"Shut up, i already agreed to her so how dare you to decide things now?" He says in a low voice, but not enough to be intimidating.
I bowed and complied with his order, i was about to leave his office if it wasn't for him suddenly handing me a document. "Bring this to the east border, and tell me the report." He says with stern eyes.
What? why is he giving me such an order? I don't know how to do anything he just told me to. After all, handling the defense terrain is not my job to do.
Nevertheless, i took the document before finally leaving the door.
I tiled my head in confusion. "What just happened? did he just gave me a task that Beta Jaxon would do?"
When i finally arrived at the front of my room, i was surprised to see what was inside. All of my furniture and several glass materials were thrown all over the place, a bit of blood sprinkled beside the shards that were spread around a person.
"Christal?!"
