Her back facing me, i gave her one last kiss on the back before going out from the bed. I headed to the bathroom and took a quick shower before going straight to my office.
As i sat on the desk, Jaxon knocks, coming in with a pile of documents as usual
"Alpha, this morning the ominous weather has passed, there is no longer any sign of it since morning"
I scanned the report he gave me carefully, it was a confirmation report from several packs around us, stating that they will ease the evacuation for the citizens.
I stared at it intently, remembering the time when all the packs agreed to be cautious towards the hidden agenda as to why the skies became like that. We all agreed to evacuate the citizens to prevent any unlikely circumstances
Feeling annoyed, i crumpled it
"Are they idiots? it's too early to say that it ended like that, my instincts never failed me, and they're not gonna fail me this time too."
"Alphaking, what are your orders?"
I sighed, "What can i do when things have been like this? even if my gut is telling me not to trust it, i can't prolong the suffering of my pack, even if worst comes to worst, I'll just have to protect them"
He nods
"I will send the order immediately." He says, before mind linking his men. After a while, his attention shifts back to me. "I've already informed east and north stations to supervise the protocol"
"Good, anything else to report to me?"
"Yes." He nods. "It's about the Trespasser i told you about, when do you plan in seeing her?"
I frowned.
Upon seeing my reaction, he took his words back. "Then, i'll schedule it in another day"
"No." I shook my head. "Schedule it today"
He nods, complying with my orders
I don't know what kind of intentions she has that she had the audacity to trespass in my territory. Since all werewolves knew the consequences of it, no one dared to do it. But lately, there's been a lot of awfully bold werewolves that dared to test my patience.
Even that demi-god isn't scared of me
"It's good that you decided to do it today, we can't handle her anymore." Jaxon exhaustedly says.
"Anything concerning about her?"
"Well it's only her attitude Alpha, she kept ordering us to call you, saying that it was very urgent."
"Urgent? Anything else you got from her?"
He shook his head in denial. "No alpha, her only words were to only see you privately, she wants you to personally come to her."
I placed my palm on my forehead. "Did you contact Stone pack?"
"Yes Alpha, but we haven't received any feedback yet."
"Nothing?"
"Nothing"
What? how could they not worry about one of their elite werewolves? Amber is one of their important warriors since she just graduated Delta, so why did they send her here?
"Fine, let's meet her after this, call Syrena to assist in the interrogation."
He nods. "The next is.. Silverfang"
"Alpha Griffin personally requested you to meet him. if you agree, then we'll be the one to arrange the meeting place." He adds.
Tch, meet him? he's just gonna plead for Brianna
I don't detest Alpha Griffin, after all his father helped my father during the war before, and because of that sole reason I'm already being merciful enough to a werewolf who attempted to kill me
If i keep on spoiling them, they'll just be more insolent in the future
"It's just useless talk, tell him there's nothing to talk about. But if they even try to interfere in her exile, tell him that i won't sit by, I'll drag their whole pack down with her." I said in a low threatening voice
"Yes alpha." He nods, mind linking someone again to do the task
"Anything else?"
"W-Well.. you do know that it's the monthly trials today right?"
I blankly stared at him
He clasps his hands together. "There's a lot of werewolves anticipating helios in the stadium, There's still a whole day left to attend, but if she doesn't appear i think it'll be a bad thing for us-"
I slammed my fist on the desk
"Do you plan on angering me just by saying that! You know i have already forbidden her to attend!"
"B-But alpha king." He stutters. "It's not a good thing to be attached to her, she's a demi-god. Eventually, you'll find your mate, then this protection you provided her would all be meaningless damage to the pack"
I frowned
It's not like I wanted this in the first place, I also don't know why I can't push her away,
"I don't want to hear anything related to this every again, leave. Get Syrena and head straight towards Maria, i'll be there shortly."
He replied by bowing his head, respecting my decision before he left the room.
I stood up from my seat and headed straight towards the room where i left her, opening it carefully after bringing a food of tray in as to not awaken her. My eyes wandered when i noticed that she was not in the bed.
She was showering so I pulled out some clother for her after placing the tray of food on the bedside table. My left hand carrying the clothing, i strode towards her direction and knocked on the bathroom door.
"W-What?"
"What are you doing there? i brought you food."
She gives me an empty answer. "i showered."
I arched an eyebrow, not liking how distant her tone was. When i tried to turn the knob, surprisingly it was locked. My eyes widening, not expecting her to lock the door. For some reason it angered me, anger rising from my chest, i forcefully breathed calmly as to not make things worse, focusing on the point that i have decided to keep her beside me.
So meaningless fights is not needed
"Why is it locked?"
"Coz i want to?"
Is she crazy? i know she can't move her legs well right now. She might get into an accident!
The tiniest bit of my patience and mercy already running out, i completely rubbished the words i admitted to myself earlier. I growled lowly, i started to knock violently.
"Open this door!"
"B-But i'm still in the middle of showering!"
"How can you shower alone? you can't even move your legs right now, you might end up in an accident." I said worriedly.
"I'm already fine, there's no need to worry that much."
My eyes widened, even though it was a relief knowing that she was healed, yet it made me suspect why so? and how? She can even heal internal wounds now?
tch, i underestimated her
"Really? so you can heal that fast?" I grunt lowly, a hint of annoyance in my words.
"Did you forget that i'm a demi-god?"
"Tch."
I don't know how she did it, but since the trails is ongoing today, i can't just let her roam around.
"Since you're already fine, you have to accompany me everywhere. We're gonna go to maria." I say firmly, "So open this damn door already, i know you're already finished bathing."
After i said that, the door slowly opens, her head hanging from the side of the door. She looks at the clothes i was holding on to at my hand, pointing her finger towards it. "Is that my clothes?"
I smirked.
But even before i can say anything she snatches it from me in an instant, feeling a little bit of magic from the palm of my hand. She closes the door shut in front of my face.

Thankfully, i was able to calm myself even with all the pent up anger that i felt as of the moment. When she finally finishes, she opens the door.
I glared at her.
"What?"
"Are you avoiding me?"
"What no!"

"It's not like that, i'm just a bit sensitive when it comes to my bathing routine so i don't really like having someone while i bathe."
I raised my eyebrow, obviously not believing her.
"Whatever, let's go."
I turned away from her. When i sensed her following close by, i took that as a chance to finally leave the room. After walking for a while, we finally arrived in maria, Jaxon and Syrena standing outside.
"AlphaKing." They both bowed in respect.
I nodded, ushering them to go inside with us.
As usual, maria is noisy. I scrunched my nose in annoyance when i heard Damien's screams that detected my presence. Not minding him as we passed by him, we arrived at the said destination of the female trespasser.
Amber
I looked at Christal. "Do you want to come in? You might be uncomfortable."
She shook her head. "I've seen worst"
After seeing her determined expression, i didn't waste any more time and entered. But as we entered, it wasn't Christal who became uncomfortable.
It was me
As my eyes lands on Amber quietly sitting on the ground, my heart stopped abruptly, i was lost in words all of a sudden as we locked eyes with each other.
Her red hair sitting on her shoulder, her lips curled, and her eyes as green as the leaves, i suddenly thought that she was breathtakingly beautiful. My vision blurred as to how my emotions started to spiral out of control.
'Mate! Mate! Mate!'
Amber is my mate?!
