I felt my sweat rolled down at the side of my face, my eyes wanted to divert his stare but i couldn't do so, for he might suspect me more than he intended to do so.
I gulped, "U-Umm i can explain."
Oh no, i made it worse.
"What the hell are you saying?! you're making it worse!" Jaxon grabs my shoulder, my eyes widened at his hands.
Don't grab me you freak! you'll anger him more!
It was too late.
I soon regretted my words when Zyrus shoves me away, grabbing Jaxon's arm and kicking him, making him fly to the wall across us. My jaw drops, blinking at the sudden escalation that happened.
Beta Jaxon coughs up blood from the impact, he holds held his head in pain.
Feeling guilty at the scene in front of me, i held Zyrus's hand. "Stop it! i hugged him to rub my scent on him! there i told you the truth! but you gotta believe me that it didn't even take a second!"
He stops, glancing at my hand. He lets go of it, crossing his arms towards me. "and you did it just to anger me right? so why are you stopping me now? I'm happily playing in your hands aren't i?"
My eyes widened when i noticed his eyes changed.
It was as if he was doubting my every being right now, in desperation, i had no choice but to yield to him, fearing that the pint of emotion that he felt for me might just fade away.
"No.. that's not it!." I grabbed his hand again. "I mean. maybe i did. It was only because i was doing everything i can to stay by your side. You don't have to worry about me getting hurt in the monthly trials, i promise you-"
"Worried?" He chuckles bitterly, forcefully yanking his hand back. "I wanted you to leave because you're a nuisance."
My heart tightened, grabbing the fabric above my chest.
Calm down Christal, don't be affected by such words. You're still his mate! No matter how much he pushes you, you have to bring him back!
But.. this really hurts.
Even Gina was getting hurt by the continuous rejection of our mate.
"Then why.. why did you come here and act all jealous if you're just gonna say that?!" i screamed, my throat vibrating from anger. "Just why?!" I stepped infront of him, banging my fist on his chest.
'Stop it Christal! don't aggravate him! he might just end all of this.' Gina sobs inside of me.
"I've come this far, i'm not gonna give up without a fight!"
He stops my arms from moving, his next words making my eyes widen.
"I can't help it, i get so overly possessive when it comes to you." he mutters under his breath, enough for me to hear it. "Even when i tell myself over and over again to hate you, but how can i accept this? i have a mate waiting for me."
I tilted my head upwards, meeting his eyes. "Zyrus,"
I placed both of my palms in his cheek, as he wraps his hand around my waist. "I know you don't believe anything i'm saying. But please.. please don't push me away like this. It hurts when i hear those words coming out from your mouth."
In a second, i was already bawling my eyes out.
"I don't have anyone but you right now, so please.. please please! don't make me leave the pack." I said, barely a whisper.
"Do you know what you're saying? what if i find my mate? can you still handle it?"
My eyebrow arched, I'm your mate! who else would be your mate huh?!
I smiled, feeling a sense of relief in his words. "Don't worry, i won't get in the way." My tone sarcastic.
"Don't regret your words." He growls, placing his head in my shoulder. I stiffened a bit since it shocked me about how he just accepted my conditions. Well it is pretty beneficial for him but unfair to me, and that's what he thinks.
I hugged him.
Don't worry Zyrus, i'm sure there won't be anyone else but me.
"So you're letting me stay right?"
He nods.

"So i can participate in the trials later?"
He pulls away from the hug, his eyes stern. "No, it's too dangerous."
"W-What! but i told you! i can handle it!"
He glares at me, making me shut up. Argh damn it! why is he so hung up on the trials?! i want to participate! it's the only time i can officially stay in the pack too.
Someone coughs, breaking the awkward silence between us.
It was Jaxon, who looked better now. "U-Um AlphaKing? Someone sent me a report about a trespasser in the east border." Then he looks at me suspiciously.
Since he knows my real identity, i guess he won't be on my side anymore.
I sighed.
