Chapter 109

Syrena sighs. I was frantically on a panic as she tries to calm me down with her words unfortunately i was too bummed to even calm the fuck down.
"Calm Down! This is not the time to panic!" She slaps me.
"Why did you slap me?!"
"Coz you won't calm down!" She said overwhelmed by my screaming.
I growled towards her. "Who is it."
"Well the Alpha has been gone for weeks, fortunately SilverFang assisted the pack while AlphaZyrus was away.."
"I asked who is the girl!"
"She's the sister of the Alpha in SilverFang." She said and closed her eyes as if she was ready that i would go on a rampage.
"What?" I asked calmly. "She has a mate."
"Yes and her mate.. well.." she gestured the 'dead' sign to her neck.
"What how?"
"During the pack wars." Syrena said in a grim face.
"No. I asked HOW THE HELL DID SHE GET TO BE ZYRUS' MATE?!"
I can't believe it. A widow! A fucking widow is my rival, it's not really suppose to be a big deal since a widowed shewolf would never find a partner again since her mate died. But since the werewolf society had implemented a law about uniting packs through partnership pact, it has been a method for shewolf/wolf to partner up for the sake of their packs.
What about Zyrus? I'm not dead yet!
"From what i read on the report, the AlphaKing himself offered the marriage."
I almost fell on my knees when i heard that. "W-What? When?!"
"It's best not to think abou-"
"WHEN?!" I screamed louder.
She sighs. "Luna, i don't see the point why you would hurt yourself even when you knew the answer itself."
"No.. that's.. not true. That's not true! Why would he do that? He must have a plan or something."
I was hurt that i realized that he offered that marriage even before he got caught by Charles. I refused to believe that betrayal!
Gina whimpers.
Stop it Gina don't act like he really.. betrayed us.
I felt something pinch inside of me that standing became unbearable. "It's my chance to return his love, all this time i've been rejecting him. I could handle this much."
Syrena worriedly looks at me. "I don't think it's a good idea Christal, what if you just wait till i find a solution to recover his memories?"
"No! That'll be too late if that happens. I can't let him marry someone else."
"But.. you're barely a werewolf. Anyone could recognise you as a demi-God. He would never recognise you without those memories."
I was silent after she said that.
She was right, how.. how am i his mate without my wolf presence.
I looked at her desperately. "You.. you can make a potion that could make me a werewolf right? No.. he knows i'm a demi god already damn it!"
She places her hand on my shoulder. "It's not just him Luna, you will not also feel your mate bond with him ever again. What's left inside of you is what humans call 'love'."
I couldn't utter another word. Everything was a mess. My family leaves me, Charles returned, Herus died, Zyrus forgets me and i'm a fucking demi God?!
"Just what the hell is my destiny?! Why is everything so fucking complicated!" I sat in anger, trying to hide my tears from Syrena.
Everything grew silent as the winds soothes me as i cried. My mind was going crazy from all this drama.
"Luna, i'll take you to rest-"
"Let go of me!" I pushed her away. "You don't understand. The longer he is away from me the higher the chance he won't ever remember me again. Herus sealed all his memories of me! And no one can even break those seal!"
After panicking for a while i thought of a solution, my eyes glimmed with hope and i held Syrena's hand to mine. "I need the potion to make me werewolf that's all, i can change my appearance by myself."
She looks confused. "Wait, i don't get it. Are you really trying to get close to Alpha Zyrus? That's impossible Luna, no she wolf has ever got close to him.. alive."
"No, i'm sure it's gonna be fine. He'll remember me. You just have to sneak me in the kingdom. Assign me a post near him."
She laughs. "Do you even know what you're suggesting? The wolves near him has always been the top werewolves of the redbloodmoon, you need to get in that list to bear responsibilities as heavy as the Alpha."
My eyebrow raised in interest. "So be it."
Syrena just smiles towards me as if she already knew that it was gonna be an easy task for me since i've beaten then before in the past. I didn't waste time to rest and headed straight to the kingdom with Syrena. I've already drank the potion to gain a wolf presence and changed my appearance slightly.
My heart paced a bit faster as i step foot inside the office of Beta Jaxon, who was currently managing the ranks in the werewolves in RedBloodMoon.
"Beta Jaxon, i've brought the delta trainee, Helios." Syrena bows.
My eyes shot at her shocked when she said that. 'Why did you say that to him?! He'll know i'm Christal!' I telepathically said to Syrena
'No he won't, after the King left i erased everyone's memories about you though it's only temporary' she nods towards me.
I sighed in relief.
"Helios?" Jaxon looks at me suspiciously. "Let's see, about your trainee report."
Well damn, i clearly remember not having good marks after my last task in 5th level.
"Your last accomplished task was 5th level: Ogre and.. top of the ranks." He looks at me. "You have an interesting accomplishment for a 5th level; you held a very astonishing record for killing monsters just by an hour."
I smiled, yes i knew it'll all be good!
"But.." he trailed off.
I frowned.
"You left immediately after such an accomplishment." He glares at me. "You must be very confident of your skills. Not only that, you were a fraud that used a disguise to fool us about your gender."
"Is it against the rules to be a fraud?" I asked.
"Well it's not really a big deal since it was just a fraud about gender. But your mistake was leaving the DELTA without permission. So i'm gonna ask you." He approaches me. "Why should i let you take part of the monthly trials? A 5th Level trainee against DELTA graduates, don't you think too highly of yourself?"
I scoffed. "Is there a rule that i can't take the test just because i didn't graduate DELTA?"
He smirks. "Not at all, but the AlphaKing's requirement for special examiners like you is quite severe."
"Special examiners?" Syrena wonders. "Isn't the AlphaKing the last special examiner who succeeded?"
What? So far he's the only special examiner who passed the monthly ranks trials?!
"That's right." He said as he crossed his arms. "The Alphaking was the last examiner who passed as a special examiner when he was a 5th level. So far, no one has passed as a special examiner since the trials spared no justice to them."
"Isn't that too extreme?" I said nervous.
"Extreme?" He chuckles. "Helios, you barely finished DELTA, on top of that you left without permission. The only advantage you had that would make me agree letting you take the test was actually being a top scorer just like the AlphaKing in the past. Those are special requirements that can be considered for examiners with unparalleled strength."
I gulped, i did beat the ranks in the past but that was just because i was using my demi-god's powers. It would be hard for me this time since i only have to use physical strength and try my best to hide my innate magical powers from the Witches.
"So.. are you in? Or out?" He says when he sat on his desk, not batting an eyelash infront of me.
I looked at Syrena warily, her eyes was saying that 'we should reconsider'. But i really don't have time to think all about that anymore.
"What if i give in halfway the test?" I asked.
He smirks. "Then that's too bad. Didn't i say? Special examiners will not be spared. Worst, they will be hunted since they're mostly 5th level warriors such as yourself. Usually, The Monthly trials is a face to face simulation that limits every werewolves to kill other pack members, but it's different for special examiners. DELTA graduates are given the privilege to kill or spare a special examiner. Even if you give in halfway, they will not let you live.. atleast that's what has been happening until now."
"I think you should reconsider." Syrena worriedly looks at me. "We should just let you enter DELT-"
"No!"
