Chapter 211

Kylian’s POV

Like a wild animal that had just been freed, my mother pushed the door open, barging in angrily to look around the room. “Where is that bitch, huh? Where is Della?”

“I need to see that bitch!” She scandalously walked around my office as though I wasn’t there, opening the bathroom doors and looking at every nook of the room.

“What do you want again?” I asked in frustration before signaling Henry to my mother.

On cue, he moved with agility and respectfully tried to make my mom halt in her place. “Ma’am, please calm down. Why are you looking for Luna Della?”

“Luna?” she burst out, eyes wide open as she pointed at Henry. “Luna? That fucking slut dared to hurt Kylian’s fated mate! Flora’s violated and humiliated, and yet Della still dared to enjoy her low and worthless life by wearing that beautiful dress and attending the kingdom’s event!”

Shifting her gaze to me, my mother added, “You see now, Kylian? Della’s nothing but a greedy witch! She must pay for all the pain Flora suffered!”

I groaned in frustration, slumming myself down on the sofa, trying my best to suppress the thought of growling at my mother.

It hadn’t been hours yet since we arrived back in the pack. Considering that everyone at that party was high high-ranking individual, the spread of news about Della being the princess wasn’t as fast as how gossip usually circulated.

That means my pack was as blind as the others, as I haven’t announced anything yet, and the kingdom didn't post it officially.

The bad news was… all my mother and the others knew was me bringing Flora back in the pack in such a condition. I knew that my mother had a good relationship with Flora and actually anticipated this extensive reaction from her.

But still, it’s irritating!

Leaning my back and crossing my arms, I stared at her.

She had her hands on her waist, looked at me with those blazing eyes, forgot that I was the Alpha, and used her mother's card on me as if it would work.

“What are you going to protect that greedy bitch again?” As usual, she assumed the worse on Della again when Della didn’t have anything to do with Flora’s condition.

Her every word and high-pitched voice were only stimulating my build-up anger again. My heartbeat was rising and my breathing was accelerating and becoming more shallow.

“For that worthless omega, you hurt your fated mate! Are you stupid or what?” sitting down opposite me, she placed her hands on the coffee table, leaning forward and staring me dead in the eye. “Only a fated mate can make you stronger! That pathetic omega will do nothing but bring you down! When will that stick to your stubborn head?”

“You’re the stubborn one! Just like Dad!” Consumed by anger, I failed to control my emotions and shouted, “Even without a fated mate, I’ll still be powerful!”

“Flora?” I sneered. “A vicious woman like her is the unworthy one of being a Luna! She’ll only bring harm to this pack which clearly overweights the trivial benefits of her being my fated mate!”

My chest rose and fall, aggravated as I finished those words.

Flora would never be a worthy Luna. It had been a fact I learned since I met Gianna. Her schemes, and trying to act all pitiful while scheming around woke me up from the truth that Della had been wronged way many times than one could imagine.

Even without Della in the picture, fated mate or not, I’d never accept someone like Flora to be a Luna. Entrusting my pack and my pack members in the hands of a woman like that would be my greatest failure as an Alpha.

My mother gasped, looking at me in disbelief. “Why did you hurt Flora like this? She already suffered so much by being tortured and violated that she’s undergoing emotional trauma!”

“Kylian, if you see how she looks right now, you won’t think twice about discarding that manipulative omega from being the Luna. And… you’ll apologize to Flora,” she demanded, completely blinded by Flora and deft from me.

Hearing her demand such a thing only angered me even more. Slamming my hands on the table, I shouted, “Della already left me! She’s no longer the Luna!”

“You heard that? Are you happy now?” I exclaimed, standing up and spreading my arms.

Her eyes widened and a smile instantly formed on her lips. “Really? That’s great news–”

“No, it’s not! Because she’s not just an omega! She’s the daughter of the Lycan King! She’s Princess Della!” I finally revealed the truth, halting her from her next words and completely making her freeze on her position.

Pursing my lips, I continued in a much calmer but colder tone, “If you continue to insult the princess and infringe on her reputation, I won’t think twice about handing you over to the royal family to receive your rightful punishment.”

“As for Flora? She’s none of my business. She can die for all I care!”

“What… I…” She was left in a daze, trembling even after processing Della’s real identity.

Slowly, she looked up at me and asked in disbelief, “H-how can she be the princess? I… Why will a princess suffer all of the injustices in our pack? You’re lying!”

“Lying? You can go check for yourself at the kingdom if I’m lying or not,” I replied, sitting back.

“B-but why?”

“Because she loves me! She loves me so much that she endured many grievances for my sake!” All my frustration radiated in my voice as I said that.

Yes, Della did not need to be mistreated like that. She was the princess and should have enjoyed a wealthy life in the kingdom and the respect of everyone.

But she endured so many grievances...for me! Living in that shabby room, and being bullied by lowly bitches like Nancy.

“I… I didn’t know… I… Kylian…” she stammered and shakingly went beside me, holding my sleeves as her life depended on it. “I didn’t know she was the princess. Why don’t you…’

Her eyes sparkled, and she shared her brilliant idea, “Yes! That’s right! You should chase her back! She’s the princess… She’s… powerful. She’ll be a great Luna!”

Huffing in disbelief, I looked down at her and sarcastically thought, “Now that she learns that Della is the heir of the kingdom, the wind suddenly changed!”

With Della’s real identity, if I marry her, I’d become the most powerful man in the kingdom, and there’s nothing more my mother would want but that because of her pride and position she’d be in.

I’d be the man respected by everyone in the kingdom… Looking at my mother, all I saw in her eyes was greed.

Now, who’s a greedy bitch?

After all her realization, what she only felt was fear and greed. Even now, she still failed to realize that she was wrong. No! I don’t even think she knew what she did wrong.

Like Flora, all she had in mind was schemes. Hearing Della’s identity only brought more ideas to her instead of showing Della the rightful respect she deserves.

“You’re unbelievable…” I whispered, looking at my very own mother with utter disbelief.

“What?”

Gritting my teeth, I said with determination. “I love Della more than anything and anyone in this world.” Leaning at her, I stared with conviction. “I will never covet to her power or wealth!”

Besides, above all matters right now, there’s only one fact: Della would definitely not come back to me that easily.

But none of that matters. This time, I’d take the initiative and do all my best to get her back. I’ll get my princess back no matter what the cause are.

“Y-you are crazy!” she shouted in surprise, letting me go.

“I’m sorry, Alpha and Ma’am Natasha, but we have more important matters at hand,” Henry interrupted.

Shifting my gaze, I asked, “What is it?”

He rotated his phone to show us the screen. “The royal family just held a press conference and it’s said that the princess will attend.”

Not wasting time, I snatched the phone from him and stared at the screen. The Royal family was at the lobby of the hospital, with many reported surrounding them.

In the middle of them, Della was standing while being supported by Albert, looking pale and weak but still incredibly beautiful.

“Della…” I whispered her name.
