Chapter 199

I found the fact that my jaw didn’t drop after being stunned like that by his words.
Knowing Jackon’s nature and his manipulative acts behind me which I had long been accustomed to, added with what he just said, I became more suspicious that he did something to stop Kylian from coming.
As soon as that realization hit me, I gritted my jaw and threw a murderous glare at his direction. “You’re so childish! I can’ believe you actually asked someone to stop Kylian!”
The glint in Jackson’s eyes and the teasing demeanor he had earlier all vanished in an instant.
Immediately, all his guard went up and he seriously stared at me, saying, “I will not interfere with your decision. You can either be with him or not. I will all depend on you. I won’t butt in anymore.”
I swallowed.
His face was void of any emotions, and his words brought a heavy meaning tha made me believe even more that there’s something wrong happening.
Raising my eyebrows, I looked back at him with the same intensity of seriousness. “Are you sure? Will you really leave the final decision to me this time?”
I couldn’t care less about Jackson’s doing or motive anymore.
Hearing him said that brought a new light in me.
If the final decision were really left in my hands, then it wouldn’t matter even how late Kylian arrived today. Because at the end of the day, I’d still choose him. Only him and no one else. I love him, and he is the father of my puppy.
I highly believe that the love we had for each other was very strong. After all we’ve been through, all doubts had already vanished from my heart.
That being said, merely being late in a n event won’t change a thing about us.
Jackson tilted his head and looked at me for a while before standing upright and rasing his righ arm and hand in a ninety degress, swearing, “I can swear with the Moon Goddess as withness that I’ll hand over all the decision to you about Kylian.”
I smiled.
“But…” he interrupted my earl rejoicement. “But, you need to wait another half and hour before making your decision.
I narrowed my eyes. Why half an hour?
Shaking my head, I disregarded my useless curiosity and nodded. “Fine!”
Everything was weird and I had tons of questions forming in my head, but I knew that getting answers from Jackson would be futile, so I decided to just wait for all the answers to reveal iself.
I turned around and looked at the door with worry as I hoped that it would open soon and reveal Kylian coming in.
“Don’t worry, Jackson is just probably joking earlier,” Trisha started. “You heard him. He already swore before the Moon Godess. He won’t go back on his words. He won’t dare to.”
Thinking about it, I sighed a relief. “You’re probably right.”
I grabbed a glass of juice and thought as I sipped on it, ‘Kylian, where are you?’
“What the hell? What’s wrong?” I asked, immediately placing down the glass on the table as I felt an indescribable feeling.
“Trisha?” I called out, feeling her jumping and rolling around in my mind, feeling agitated and uneasy.
It’s almost like… she’s eager to go somewhere.
“Della...I can feel that! Let’s go. Go find...”
“Feel what? Find who? What happened to you Trisha?” I asked but the only answer she gave me was her moan.
In a blink of an eye, my body started responding to her own feelings. My heartbeat sped up like lightning and my temperature rose that it almost felt like I’d have a fever.
What happened to me? I became anxious when I realize I has strange feelings too, but I pushed it back.
“Trisha, calm down. Like you said, everything will be alright.” I tried to reassure her, and reassure myself, the best I could.
No matter what will happen, I have to stay here, waiting to Kylian.
I swallowed and grabbed cold water instead to calm me and my wolf.
While drinking, I heard the crowd talking in a low voice.
“Will it not be starting yet?”
“The prince announced that it will be delayed for half an hour.”
“Half an hour?” Someone asked in surprised.
I kept my back on them but I could just imagine they’re eyes going wide.
“Who can be so important that the prince will order all the guests - distinguished guests for that matter - to wait for so long?”
“And hear me out!” Another exclaimed in excitement. “I heard it’s not even the princess we are waiting for.”
“It’s not? But she’s the guest of honor for today. If not her, then who is?”
“I heard that the princess’ husband will be introduced today.”
“She already met her mate? How great!”
“No! It’s said that her husband is a chosen mate. She never met her fated mate.”
“Oh my! Really? Then he must be really outstanding!”
“Yes, the princess chose him and didn’t wait for her fated mate anymore, so her husband must be really great!”
“Now, this is something worthy of waiting for half and hour more.”
“And not to mention, we’d finally be able to see the princess after a long time!”
“I’m so excited to see them! Especially her lucky husband!”
“Me too!”
“I guess all of us are!”
Then, they clicked their glasses in a toast with full of excitement.
Hearing the excitement on their words, I had no doubt that my marriage with Kylian would be easily accepted by most of the members of the kingdom. They’d more likely even to bless us.
I smiled. Once Kylian learn the truth, he’d be so proud as he looked around and see nothing but envy in the eyes of those men around him.
He’d be someone of higher rank.
I held my phone and look at the time, there’s still a lot of time before he exhaust the thirty minutes window that Jackson gave him.
Standing upright adn with a sense of relief and hope, I smiled. ‘Kylian, I’ll wait for you. I’m sure you’ll arrive in no time’
“Don’t worry, I’ll be there and won’t let you attend it all alone. Besides, we still need to dance.”
He made a promise, and he’d definitely go by his words.
With wide eyes, I turned my face and looked at the direction of the door as it opened, revealing who just came.
