Chapter 200

I sighed in annoyance and slouched my shoulder upon realizing that they were just a group of servants coming in to send the ice figure decoration that couldn’t fit through the back door.
Feeling strange, I just laugh it off and waited more.
The group of men behind me still continued to gossip, making me feel quite happy for their excitement.
In fact, no matter who my husband would be, everyone would envy him and found him to be a lucky man. After all, I’m not only the Lycan Princess, but I’m also the heir.
Whoever I decided to be my husband would be the future king and the most powerful man in the kingdom. It’s only a pity though that Kylian would only find out about it now.
Shrugging my shoulder, I thought, ‘Well, it’s not too late.’
Today, everything would change. After everything we had been though, I already confirmed and high confidence to believe that the love between Kylian and I were greater than anything else, and unbreakable.
So whatever Jackson threw at us, I knew that he won’t succeed in it.
After a few seconds, the group talking near me had dispersed somewhere. I looked at the hand of the clock that kept ticking until seconds turned to minutes… And before I knew it, half an hour already passed.
I looked around in anticipation, even stared at the door at the last second, waiting for the door to open, but it was all in vain.
Feeling a bit of panic, I opened my purse with a trembling hand I try hard to control and dialed Henry’s number.
“Where are you guys already?” I asked the second the call got connected.
“Luna, we are already on our way. We’ll be there in twenty minutes,” he replied.
I sighed in relief. “That’s good. I’ll wait for you both.”
With that I ended the call.
It didn’t matter whether he was late or not. All I felt right now was a huge relief in knowing that nothing bad happened to them, especially to Kylian. After all, Jackson already made his promise.
The final decision of whom I should marry was solely in my jurisdiction now. He wound’t interfere anymore.
And for Kylian… I’d make an exception and even cheat just to make him succeed in whatever challenge Jackson placed him in.
In time, the bell rang that echoed in the entire hall. It’s the sign that the banquet had officially started.
“Come on,” Jackson suddenly came beside me and offered me his arm. I took it, and we went to the stage together were everyone had their eyes on.
“Good day, ladies and gentlemens. Today, I hold this very special event for a very special woman. A woman fiercer and braver than anyone I know. I woman who grew with intelligence and kindness. A woman, I will always be proud of.”
Jackson smiled and continued, “Today, I’d like to formally introduce you to my sister, the Lycan Princess, and the heir of the throne - Princess Della Campbell!”
A loud round of applause filled the room as soon as Jackson pointed at me. He let me go and stepped aside so I could be alone at the center of the stage.
With a proud smile, he looked around as I did. The crowd were filled with joy as they clapped their hands, cheered with happiness, and clicked their glasses in the air.
After a while of letting the crowd celebrate and having the spotlight solely on me, Jackson went back beside me and held my shoulder as he continued speaking. “Initially, we had planned to announce Della’s husband before all of you tonight. However…”
His tone became void of emotions and his eyes turned dark as he continued to speak with intense seriousnes. With a gritted teeth and almost growling tone, he spoke, “However, it seemed that the man is no longer worthy of my sister!”
My eyes widened and my breahtng hitched as I looked at him with utter surprise.
How dare he make such announcement! He promised!
With glaring eyes, I looked up at him and spoke in pursed lips. “Do you know what you’re talking about?”
To say that I was angry would be an understatement. In fact,I even felt betrayed. He already vowed before the moon goddess so why was he here now voicing such words?
It’s ridiculous and infuriating!
Furious, I angrily shook off his hand from my shoulder and back away from him,
I wanted to make a scene right now. I wanted to shout and kick him in the guts, but I am the princess. No matter how mad I was, I couldn’t be impulsive and be rude. Especially not in front of all the guest we had right now.
Raising my head, I looked at him with as calm expression I could muster. “You just promised me earlier that I can make the choice. Jackson, you can’t break your promise. You vowed to the Moon Godess, remember?” I reminded him in a low voice.
He turned to look at me. “I didn’t break my promise. Like I said, the choice is still in your hands. It’s just…”
“What?”
Pain and anger glinted in his eyes before it became a little bit tender as he continued, “It’s just that I hope you’ll reconsider things out. Is Kylian really qualified for a princess like you? Can he really be the husband of a future queen and manage the kingdom?”
“That’s all for you to decide.” With that, he pointed at the white screen behind us and a projection went on.
I froze on my spot as I stared blankly at the scene playing on the screen.
“What the hell is that?”
“Oh no! How cruel! Whos that woman?”
“I can’t even look!”
The crowd beneath the stage erupted in chatter but no one could make them stop as everyone were as shock as I was.
Before me, a video of Flora was playing. But it wasn’t any ordinary video. It’s a video of Flora laying on the ground and begging for her life with a naked body while a group of perverted men surround her with lustful eyes.
They were coming at her, feasting at her body like she’s some kind of expensive and delectable dish.
I shifted my gaze to my brother who’s looking at the screen without emotions. ‘Where did you get this video? No… why are you playing it and doing this?’
