Della’s POV

I took a deep breath as the realization hit me hard.

“I can’t believe this!” I thought in both dismay and disappointment.

For many days, weeks, and even a month. I’ve been dwelling in pain and heartache only to learn today that the truth behind it was just an absurb reasons manipulated in the background.

All the days were I cried in pain because of jealousy whenever I saw Kylian giving attention to Stella flashed before me. All the nights that I couldn’t sleep whenever I got a provoking message from Stella about Kylian came back at me.

The time she kissed me in front of me, and the time I totally give up on Kylian - my pup’s father when I saw Stella laughing and holding his hands suddenly kept rushing in my mind all too fast, almost making me weak.

All that pain… and all for what? A planned to ensure that I’d keep my word and divorce Kylian?

Wasn’t I already hurt enough that they thought they should add more salt to my wound?

Probably seeing the sourness that I was sure was now showing in my face, Stella walked closer to me and held my hand in hers.

Looking intently at me with those genuine eyes crystalled with welled tears, she said, “I am really sorry, Della. I know that what I did was wrong and I have no excuse for that. But still…”

She continued looking at me with pleading eyes, “I am really sorry. I hope you can forgive me…”

“And… Never mind…” she spoke, but hesitated to continue.

“Go on. What is it?” I pushed her.

I mean, she already started telling me things so why not go all out?

With a sigh, she continued after a few seconds of hesitation. “I know I’m wrong, but I can’t help it. I don’t think Kylian is worthy of you. I mean, look at you…”

This time, her tone was a bit excited. She motioned toward me and there’s a look of discontentment and disbelief in her eyes.

She continued with a hint of annoyance. “You are a very outstanding and kind-hearted woman! Above all, you are the Lycan princess, the heir of the kingdom! You don’t deserve a man like him who can’t devote his whole self to you.”

Stella even scoffed, looking very irritated and almost seemed like she wanted to turn around and rush to Kylian to teach him a lesson.

Seeing her acting like that, despite the irritation radiating in me, I couldn’t help but let out a small laugh.

Startled by my reaction, she momentarily paused and looked at me with confusion.

“Why are you laughing? I’m serious here!” she exclaimed.

Shaking my head in amusement, I replied, “You’re really unpredictable.”

She furrowed her eyebrows. “Is that a compliment?”

I laughed even more at that. “See it how you want to.”

“Then I say it’s a complement.” With that, both of us laughed.

After a while, she became serious again, and asked, “So… Does this mean that you forgive me?”

Forgive her? I already did that since the day I saw her willingly risk herself on my behalf and the day I realized that she was really deeply in love with Ralph.

Yes, her actions did hurt me. But it’s was something she did out of love. Besides, she saved me and my child and that’s something I’d always owe her for.

“I am…” I genuinely said as I nodded and gave her a warm smile.

“Yes! You can’t take that back,” she said happily.

She seemed so glad as if I’ve completed her day.

I laughed. “Look… I’m sorry you aren't able to get that ship after all you’ve done but…”

“It’s fine. I mean… It didn’t go as planned but I’m with him and I’m marked!” She proudly showed her bite mark at me.

Despite that, I continued and made a promise, “But… I’d still help you find a way to get that.”

Stella jumped and hugged me. Whispering, she said, “Thank you… so much…”

“Are you ladies finish? The guest are waiting,” Ralph peaked from the door, cautiously asking.

“Go on. You’re man is already waiting.”

Stella blushed again before she said goodbye and ran toward Ralph who welcomed her by holding her hand.

After mingling a bit at the after ceremony event, I left the venue with Diana.

“Let’s go?” I invited after I saw that she had finished her meal.

Diana nodded and grabbed our bags, following behind me.

While walking back, my wolf Trisha suddenly spoke in my mind, “So… in the end what happened between Kylian and you are just a misunderstanding… Did it change something?”

“Change what?”

“Do you want to reconcile with him now? After all, Luke, Flora, and Stella are no longer an obstacle for both of you,” she explained which made me halted for a second.

Hearing her say that, something in much heart seemed to weaver a bit.

With a second of thought, I retorted, “it’s a misunderstanding, yes. But Gianna had proven that even without those three in our lives, there will always be something or someone that will come between me and him. We’re just not really meant to be together.”

“Besides, our fated mate will appear soon. And…” Remembering how fast Kylian rejected being mark by me, I added sadly, “As a chosen mate, Kylian can’t even sacrifice his own interest for me like how Stella did. He only talks big but he never sacrifice anything for my sake…”

“You’re right! I’m sure our fated mate will be a lot more worthy of us!” she replied with pride.

“Ms. Della? Are you alright?” Diana asked when she realized that I halted.

I simply nodded and continued walking.

However, after a few more seconds, we were suddenly stopped by a guard. He was panting, and looking very anxious as if something bad had happened.

“Luna…” he called in panic.

After observing his face longer, I realized that he was Fred in charge in the border. He had always been a good and loyal warrior of Kylian.

Cold sweats were dripping from his forehead and his chest rose and fell quite fast, showing that he’s very anxious.

What happened?

Since he was posted at the border could it be something happened there? I heard that the Crimson pack would be delivering drugs recently.

Did something happened?

With that in mind, my eyes widened, and I asked with worry, “Tell me! What happened?”
