Chapter 158

Della's POV

Dumbfoundedly, I stared at Margot standing between Nancy and Abigail in the middle.

She was the last person I expected I’d see here, much more anywhere, for that matter.

Margot might be Kylian’s sister but her standing in the pack had a long chance since she teamed up with her cousin to rape me several months ago. Kylian imprisoned her because of that, and she was secretly released by her stubborn mother. SInce then, we never saw her again.

“Who are you guys?” Stella asked in confusion, looking back and forth to each of the three in front of us.

Though Nancy and Abigail were still in the pack, Stella didn’t actually have any dealing with them.

No one replied, and I wasn’t in the mood to explain anything to her either.

My eyes fell on Margot’s indifferent eyes. Letting out a mocking smirk, I asked, “What’s a fugitive like you doing in here?”

Narrowing my eyes, I shifted my gaze toward Nancy, “You’re here. So… what’s your plan? Why did you deliberately lead me here…” Shifting my gaze to Abigail, I continued, “To see the sick hobby of your former leader?”

Margot’s eyes blazed with fire as fury radiated in her. She took a step forward and murderously glared at me.

“Do you know what I’ve been through because of you?” she shouted, pointing a finger at me. “My brother locked me in that cold, disgusting cell for a dirty whore like you, shameless omega!”

Leaning on the door frame, I crossed my arms and looked at her from head to toe. “Whatever that is, I think you deserve it. Maybe not even enough after what you’ve done.”

Her anger intensified upon hearing my words.

She scoffed and let out her frustration. “After I escaped, I’ve been hiding in the woods for days, eating tasteless wild fruits and drinking from the spring! I’m the sister of an Alpha, but I’m fallen and treated like this because of a low-life Omega like you!”

Stomping her foot and pointed her index finger at me. Her nails were a bit chipped, and a hint of black substance like dirt was beneath her nails. “This is all your fault! First, you drove Flora away, and then you manipulated my brother to imprison me and my mother!”

I frowned. How dare she blame me for what happened to her and Natasha as if it were all my fault and not the punishment they received for their mistakes!

Margot’s hysterical behavior suddenly stopped, and her entire demeanor calmed down.

“I’ve been waiting for this day for so long. Today, I’d take my revenge. I will kill you by myself!” she said rather calmly, but her tone was as cold as ice.

But no matter how cold and dominating she tried to act, it had no effect on me.

I only shook my head with a small smirk, finding her ridiculous. She still thought I was a weak omega, that she can hurt me easily.

“You were locked up because you committed a crime beyond forgiveness.”  Taking a step forward, I leaned my head forward and continued with narrowed eyes, “Did you forget already? You made your cousin try to rape me and even wanted to put it on record to ruin my life and reputation.”

I heard Stella gasp from the side, completely shocked by what she heard, but no one was paying attention to her at the moment.

“As a woman, you know full well what that action will cause me, but that didn’t stop you. That only showed how unimaginably evil you are.”

I could still remember what happened then so clearly. The fear of being raped and those hands that touched me still cause a lingering burning feeling on my skin whenever I remember it.

Leaning back, I let out a sigh. “As for Flora, you should know why she was kicked out as well. She lied about being pregnant and deceived the alpha - the greatest sin one could do to an Alpha. It has nothing to do with me. You all brought your downfall to yourselves!”

Margot had her hands on either side of her, clenching them into a fist, trembling with anger but speechless.

“Wow… Did Kylian actually have a sister as vicious as her? This night is full of surprises indeed,” Stella, understanding the situation, suddenly let out a comment that was obviously offensive but she said it so easily.

Being the bold woman Stella had always been, she moved forward and, criticizingly, stared at Margot. “You committed a huge crime like that… You should be thankful that you were only imprisoned; that’s a huge act of mercy on your part.”

“W-who are you to speak?” Margot asked.

Stella raised an eyebrow, totally unfazed. “Me? I’m the daughter of the Lock Heart Pack’s Alpha. And let me tell you, if such a thing happened to me in our pack, I would have to tear you and your wolf into pieces!”

Stella’s tone was sharp and dangerous.

Like a madwoman, though, Margot laughed out loud and waved her hand. “Oh, don’t kind me. You’re you, and she’s she… A low-life omega.”

Her smile vanished, and she stared at me with disgust before continuing, “Her life can be ruined, and she can die for all I care, and such a thing won’t still be a big deal.”

“You…” Stella was dumbfounded.

Margot raised her head, stared at me with a smug expression, and raised her hand as if imagining that her hand was on my neck. “If Kylian doesn’t fancy her, I would of broke this bitch’s neck long ago!”

“How dare you! Della is…” Stella roared and my heart skipped a beat, and immediately stared at Stella. She was about to reveal my identity from anger and shock!

Immediately, I sternly replied to Margot to keep her attention away from Stella.

I stood upright and spoke with a hint of dominance. Both omegas and alphas should have equal rights in terms of survival!”

“It’s a shame! You and Flora already suffered punishment; still, none of you seemed to realize your mistakes, and you are far from redemption!”

Margot’s jaw clenched together. “Say all you want, but you’d still die today!”

With that, Margot looked at Abigail and said, “You see that? Your secrets are now out of the closet!” Pointing the finger at me while her eyes remained on Abigal, she continued, “THis bitch will definitely sell you out to Kylian!”

“Once my brother finds out about this, he’ll hate you and never allow you to be on his side again.” Margot took a step closer to Abigail and manipulatively added, “You won’t ever see him again… Not even a glimpse…”

On her every word, Abigail’s face would tremble as fear filled her eyes.

She’s obsessed with Kylian, and Margot is using it against her.

Subconsciously, Margot slowly shook her head in fear of that coming to reality.

“N-No… No…” Abigail whispered disorientedly.

With a smirk, Margot got closer to Abigail and said close to her ear, “If you don’t want those things to happen, kill Della…”

Hearing her words, I stood calmly where I was, smiling with disdain. Abigail alone won’t stand a chance in me. In fact, not even the three of them could make a sweat if we battled each other.

Nancy, who had been silent on the side since earlier, suddenly let out a shrill laughter upon seeing my smile.

Smugness was overflowing on her. With her arms crossed over her chest, she smugly said, “I’ve realized for a long time that you’re hard to deal with. This time, I’ve been fully prepared and poisoned you.”

She looked at me and Stella before motioning at the room that was still lingering with incense. “Both of you won’t be able to fight now.”

‘So… that incense is actually poison, huh?’ I thought.

I froze for a while, heightening my senses. Indeed, there’s a poison mixed with the incense.

“Trisha?” I asked, trying to connect with my wolf, but she wasn’t responding.

Stella and I looked at each other. When she gave me a wryly smile and discreetly shook her head, I knew that we were in the same boat.

Damn it!

Taking us by surprise, Abigail shouted and rushed froward toward me with a knife.

My eyes widened in surprise. How dare she!

“No!” Stella moved forward and stood in front of me. The silver knife held by Abigail was struck into Stella’s chest.

“Stella!” I shouted as I watched in horror when Abigail grabbed Stella and placed the knife in her throat.

Stella smiled bitterly. Her eyes were shining with tears, and a few streamed down onto her cheek. Filled with sadness, Stella mindlinked me with all her might, trying to pass through the effect of the poison mixed in the air.

“Della...You are the heiress of the Lycan King. If one must die between us, it should never be you. D-Della… I beg you. If I die, please tell Ralph that I love him so much. And apologize to him on my behalf.”

I tried to reply back, but the poison in the air already spread further, completely putting us off from communicating with each other nor connecting with our wolves.

Why would Stella save me? Was she telling the truth? Did I misunderstand her?

Damn it! Stella's hurt bad. What am I supposed to do?

I stared at her with pain as blood dripped from her chest. With her last word, her neck was slightly slit with the silver knife, and the scent of Stella’s blood reached my nose.

I stood frozen in my place, utterly shocked at what I was seeing. No! She shouldn’t die! I can’t let her die!

Shaking with anger, my blood boiled with thirst for revenge.

“Let go of her!” I shouted at Abigail.

I was about to move forward and stop Abigail, but from the side, I saw Margot rushing forward toward me…
