Chapter 159

Seeing Margot's fast-approaching figure, I immediately took a step to the side and moved my body to avoid her attack.
I successfully dodged her, but I could feel my strength getting weaker with every passing second as the poison in my system continued to spread fast.
My eyes wandered around as I measured the situation I fell into.
My sharp vision was starting to come to normal, but I couldn’t see much clearly from a distance. Next to me, Stella was breathing shallowly with blood continue dripping from her chest.
Damn it! It won’t heal!
I thought as realization crept into my mind. I already fully lost contact with my wolf Trisha, and I’m sure it was the same case with Stella.
Stellla’s already having a hard time keeping her eyes open, and most of her weight is already being carried by Abigail.
Because of the amount of blood that dripped from her, she’s at a high risk of dying from excessive blood loss. Without her wolf to heal her, she needed to receive medical treatment as soon as possible before it was too late.
‘What should I do? Damn it! Think, Della!’ I scolded myself while I scanned around, just to make my blood boil even further.
Abigail was fully manipulated in thirst to kill me and Stella. Margot was in fury after I dodged her attack. Meanwhile, Nancy was standing at the side with that mocking smirk plastered on her face like she’d won a huge deal.
I swallowed, anxiety slowly rising within me.
If Stella hadn’t blocked that knife earlier, I would be the one in her place. That should be me, who’s bleeding right now and would be in a life-and-death situation.
Furthermore, it’s not only me whom she saved. It may be unknown to her, but I knew to myself that she also saved my unborn pup with her action.
Margot snickered and stretched her neck in annoyance before a prideful smile formed on her lips.
Looking at me with contempt, she said, “I don’t know how a low-life omega like you can be so powerful, but right now…”
Her smirk gone even wider, almost looking like the devil herself.
Shaking her head slowly in triumph, she continued, “You have no choice but to let me bite your neck off.”
My eyes narrowed at her.
Margot was born evil. That’s something no one could deny. But she wasn’t actually a smart one. There’s no possibility that she was able to plan things out like this.
It was meticulously thought of. Knowing that they couldn’t defeat me, they planned ahead and added poison to the incense.
‘But if not Margot…’ I looked at Nancy in suspicion. ‘Was it her?’
“Trisha?” I tried to connect with my wolf again, but her presence was still so weak that I couldn’t contact her.
Mindlink… Would I still be able to use it when Trisha’s presence was almost nonexistent due to the poison?
I already failed to communicate with Stella before, but what if…
“Kylian… I need your help…” I said over and over through the mind link, hoping it would reach him.
We might be on bad terms, but we were still mates. That bond hadn’t been cut off yet. As weak as I was right now, our bonds as mates were stronger than those of normal werewolves.
I had to put all my hopes in there that his wolf would feel my call for help.
While I was trying to reach Kylian through our mind link, I negotiated with Margot to keep them busy.
“Stella is in danger. She needs to see a doctor right now.” I looked at Stella when I heard her weak and painful cough, and my eyes widened when I saw blood dripping from the corner of her lips.
She’s having an internal damage already. She needs to be sent to hospital immediately!
I looked at Margot whose face full of evil with urgency. “Leave her alone! I promise, if you do that, I’ll let you handle me as you please. Just let her see a doctor!”
As expected, Margot devilishly smiled and sarcastically spoke, “Della, do you see me as a fool? Once I let her go, everyone will know that I killed you!”
Her smile vanished, and she glared at me murderously. “Then, I’d be haunted by those people who are too foolish to be manipulated by you!”
Margot didn't just want to deal with me! She also wanted Stella to die by her hands. She was just the alpha's sister, how dare she kill a princess so easily?
“Stella is the only daughter of the Lock Heart Pack’s Alpha! She’s their princess! Is she dies here, her brother and father won’t ever let the Dark Moon Pack!” I warned.
Seeing as she didn’t bodge with that, I tried my best to calm down and reminded her, “The Dark Moon Pack might be powerful, but killing an important figure without reasonable cause is a feud between packs. This pack won’t get any support from anyone, not even from the Lycan King!”
“I…”
Margot was left shocked by what she heard. She tried to open her mouth, but she ended up looking like a fish who just closed it again without saying anything more.
Seeing the situation, Nancy came over and kicked Stella, making her fall onto the ground and whimpering in pain.
Looking at Margot, she said, “Once Stella and Della are dead, I will just tell everyone that they are in conflict with each other. Della killed Stella, so Margot and I had no choice but to attract you to save the Lock Heart Pack princess.”
She shrugged her shoulders with pride and smirked, “That’s too easy. Now, the Lock Heart Pack will even owe us a thanks.”
Margot recovered from her shock and let out a cruel smile.
Provocatively, she looked back at me and spoke, “Now… I’d just have to kill the arrogant omega who killed the Lock Heart Pack’s princess.”
I was utterly dumbfounded.
Now, not only did Margot want to kill me, but she also wanted to put the blame on me for Stella’s death!
They were really evil! I underestimated Nancy!
With new determination, Margot hastily attacked me.
Her eyes were blazing with murderous intent as she raised her hand, whose nails were fully elongated. She was obviously aiming for my neck, ready to rip my head off my neck.
My heart beat so fast as panic started to rush in me. My hand involuntarily went to my belly as all I could think of was my pup’s safety.
How could I save the both of us when I was too weak to fight?
“Kylian! I’m in the Omega’s apartment! I need your help! Hurry!” I repeated over and over again in my mind urgently.
Because right now, all I could see were images of Kylian’s face, deeply hoping that he heard me and would be here in time.
With her finger an inch closer to my neck, I stepped back and bent my upper body a little to avoid her attack.
Just in time, the door was knocked open, and its loud crashing noise took Margot’s attention away from me.
Managing to take further steps away from me was the only time I looked at the door and found Kylian and Ralph standing outside.
“Della!”
“Stella!”
They both shouted in panic. Their heavy breathing could be heard from their voices. It was evident that they rushed through here.
Kylian’s eyes momentarily landed in my eyes before his eyes wandered around.
The worry that was once evident in his eyes immediately vanished and was covered with dark shade of deadly demeanor.
As fast as the wind, he rushed and came between Margot and I. Standing protectively in front of me. He pushed Margot further with fangs visible in his teeth. “What do you think you are doing?”
His voice was echoing with danger as his wolf’s voice mirrored his rage.
Looking on the other side, Ralph had already rushed in as well and was already on the floor. He sat on the ground and pulled Stella into his arms, hugging her so gently as if he’d damage her further.
Panic was evident on his face as tears started to swell up in the corner of his eyes. “Stella… please… Can you hear me?” he whispered gently.
Stella was already looking pale, and her lips were now covered with the shade of red from her blood. She tried to open her lips to speak but was too weak to utter a word.
In the end, all she could do was stare at Ralph and cry. Her eyes mirrored a lot of sorrow.
Raising her hand, she balled her hand on Ralph's shirt and pulled every ounce of her strength to ask, “If I die… w-will you believe that I’ve n-never l-love anyone but y-you…”
I froze in my place. I never expect Stella to be that infatuated with Ralph. She’s on the brink of death, and all she could think of was Ralph’s forgiveness.
“D–”
I immediately pulled Kylian’s sleeves when he took a step forward and was about to say something.
He looked at me with questioning eyes, but I shook my head, signaling him to stop talking.
His furious eyes gradually calmed down with my presence. Holding my hand and looking intently into my eyes, he nodded in understanding.
Subconsciously, I held his hand as well. My heart skipped a beat with how close we are right now.
He came… He saved me…
With tears streaming down her cheek, Stella asked again, “If I survive, can you promise me something?”
Ralpah’s shoulder trembled as tears streamed down his cheek as well. He raised his hand and lovingly held Stella’s cheek. With his eyes on her, he replied in a gentle tone, “As you as you survive, you can even take my life.”
Weakly, Stella smiled. “I don’t want you to die. I… I just want you to mark me…”
“M-mark me as your mate…”
