Chapter 156

Kylian’s POV

“A-Alpha Kylian…” Gianna, benign, the best actress, instantly cried as soon as she walked inside and approached me.

Her shoulders were trembling as she cried quietly. Her voice was very nice. I guess it was deliberately disguised. She hid her face with her face in a very failed attempt.

She stopped in front of my desk and wiped her tears dry, but only to cry further. This time, though, she’s looking at me and letting me see her puffy face.

“I’m really sorry. All of it is my fault. Because of me, Luna Della got angry. I swear…” she shocked her head frantically and added, “I didn’t want all of this to happen. If it can make Luna Della calm down, I’m even willing to sacrifice my life.”

I raised an eyebrow and looked at her coldly.

She’s looking at me with puppy eyes that are now red from all her crying. She’s biting her lower lip to appear weak and helpless.

I scoffed. “Indeed, she is acting exactly how Flora acted before,” I said to myself with boiling anger.

Leaning back on my seat, I crossed my arms over my chest and glared at her. “Why didn’t you tell the truth earlier today?”

“Wh–” She’s just about to say something, but I interrupted.

“Why didn’t you tell Della that you accidentally wet my pants instead of acting like that, crying and all as if another thing happened?” I asked in a suppressed, angry tone.

Gianna cried even harder right after my words registered to her. “I’m really sorry, Alpha. I… I am so timid that…”

She took a deep breath, calming herself from all the crying. “When I saw Luna Della, I got so nervous that I couldn’t bring myself to speak. T-that’s why I wasn’t able to explain properly.”

Looking up abruptly, she added with hopeful eyes, “But I see that Luna Della is very generous and kind. I’m sure she’d understand me. I’ll explain it to her properly this time.”

I took a deep breath. What a pretender!

Gianna was really cunning. She’s trying to gaslight things into framing Della. Indeed, once she talked with her and Della didn’t forgive, it would seem like Della wasn’t being kind and be the one with whom the pack members would point fingers.

“Although everyone is saying that I’d replace Luna Della, I… I will never do such a thing! Only a traitor will think of doing that. And I respect you the most, Alpha…” she whispered.

Taking a deep breath and holding her chest, she added with a sad tone, “I owe you my life. Suppose you didn’t bring me back, Sir. Luke probably killed me already that same day. I know that you like Luna Della, so I won’t ruin what you two have.”

Then, she waved her hands frantically. “I swear, Sir. Luke forced me to seduce you before, and that’s the only reason why I did what I did…”

After watching her oscar-award worth of acting, I remained silent for a moment and let her tremble while waiting.

Standing up, I dangerously approached her. With a glare, I gritted my teeth and leaned toward her before I abruptly grabbed her neck and lifted her up in the air.

Instantly, her hands tried to remove my hold from her neck, but it was all in vain.

“Since you said you’re willing to sacrifice your life, then I’d willingly kill you in exchange for Della’s forgiveness,” I said with pursed lips, and her eyes immediately opened wide in shock.

She moved her legs and hands, struggling to be free from my hold, but I only tightened my hold on her.

I develishly smirked. “That’s right. Just like that, be scared.”

“I… Please… I don’t want to die. Please let me go,” she begged in a hoarse voice.

I sarcastically laughed while looking at her struggle for her life. “You said it yourself earlier. You can even die just to calm Della. Why are you acting all scared now, begging for your life?”

Exposed to her lie, she went slight for a while, probably frightened to even utter a single word.

I sneered. Seeing her being exposed, I feel even more sick to look at her.

Like I’ve been burned with her dirtiness, I thew her away, not caring that she fell hard on the ground.

Turning around, I pulled a tissue from my table and cleaned my hands which got dirty by touching her.

Looking back at her, I said murderously, “Tell me about Luke’s secret… and I might let you live.”

Her eyes widened as she abruptly tried to deny, “Sir. Luke didn’t do anything!”

I sneered.

At first, I planned to push Gianna so far that she’d voluntarily expose Luke’s conspiracy. However, after the trick she pulled today, I started losing my patience. I couldn’t wait any longer.

If needed, I’d even had my men conduct an investigation about Gianna and Luke. What’s important now is for Gianna to be thrown out of the pack house.

I never want to see a disgusting woman in front of me ever again. A woman like her didn’t even deserve to be in a bathroom.

“Go to the slave quarters and live there!” I ordered firmly.

“I…” Gianna was stunned and immediately forced herself to stand up from the ground, but her legs instantly gave out.

“Leave!” I shouted with my fangs out. Quickly, even though she was on the verge of fainting, she got up and ran toward the door, trying to leave as fast as she could.

Looking at her running away like weak prey, I realized more how valuable Della was.

Despite being an omega, Della would never run like that out of fear of my demeanor as an Alpha.

As an Alpha, everyone was bound to feel like that toward me, especially once I used my alpha tone, even Flora. However, Della was different. She wasn’t fazed by my demeanor as an Alpha and would stand her ground no matter what.

Then, I saw the phone on my table.

Throwing the tissue in the nearby trash bin, I went and picked up the phone and called Henry.

I ordered, “Find out everything about Gianna.”

I wanted her to pay with her life, but I needed to gather evidence first about her before I would kill her.
