Chapter 149

Discreetly, I entered the pack house through the back door and was able to hide behind one of the pillars at the hallway leading to the living room. From here, I could take a glimpse of the hallway on the second floor.
Narrowing my eyes, I saw Kylian’s familiar back leaning on the railing in front of the study room. On his right side, a little bit in front of him, stood a woman.
From where I stand and the angle she was in as she was a bit far from the railing, all I could see was her shoulder to head. Narrowing my eyes, I used my lycan skill to see her face clearly.
My world seemed to had frozen right at this instant. My heart skipped a beat, my breathing hitched, and a knot suddenly formed in my throat.
I was speechless.
“She’s not lying…” I whispered in pain, pertaining to Stella’s words earlier.
Indeed, there’s a woman near Kylian who looked exactly like me. “What a sick bastard!” I cursed in my mind.
I didn’t know if he love me that much or was he just that desperate that he even went to such length as to finding someone who look like me just to pleasure himself.
My hands clenched as much as my jaws. My blood was on fire, and my entire body was shaking in fury.
But I wasn’t alone. My wolf was as just furious and disgusted as I was. In fact, we were in a middle of fighting for control as both our fury was in heights beyond one could imagine.
If I was any closer to them or didn’t had a high control with myself, I would have already attacked and ripped their heads off. Yes, I was that infuriated.
“We should go now, before things go worse,” my wolf reminded me.
My chest was violently moving, in synced with my fast and shallow breathing. I closed my eyes which probably shifting from hazel brown to gold right now. Once I calmed down a bit, enough not to approached them, I turned around and went out the same way I came in.
One after another, I took a step forward. I walked as fast as I could, looking in oblivion.
It felt like I’m being suffocated, numbing all my nerves. And all I wanted was to get as far as I could from that forsaken pack house.
“Calm down! You need to walk slower.” Trisha reminded, but my mind was all over the place.
I kept my pace. “Fuck him!” I cursed again.
“We’re pregnant! Slow down!” Trisha shouted, making me froze in my feet.
Suddenly, its as though I was drenched by an ice cold water.
“I…” I stuttered, and subconsciously held my belly. Looking down on my slightly buldged tummy, guilt overwhelmed me, helping me calm down from my fury as it was all changed by panic and worry.
“I’m s-sorry,” was all I could utter, totally fazed.
I remembered what Diana said before. She said that I should be more careful during my first trimester because excessive emotion and impactful physical extorsion could lead to miscarriage.
Just the thought of losing my puppy was making me tremble in fear as if I’d die for real if I experience that.
I stopped walking and sat on the nearby bench to calm my rapid breathing and excessive emotion.
Leaning my back on the backseat with my head tilted and looking at the sky, I heard a small group of pack members passing by.
I could feel their mocking stares as they wishpehred an exchange of words that’s too audible for a whisper.
“I really thought that Alpha Kylian likes Luna Della…”
“Look, she look like a mess. She must have seen Ms. Gianna already.”
They snickered at that.
Someone shook their hand. “It’s a shame. I really thought Alpha likes her because he finally brought her in the pack meeting. But I guess she just probably pushed her way in.”
“Ms. Gianna’s way more obedient that Luna Della and just as beautiful. I’m sure she’ll be the best next new Luna. It’s a pity though that Ms. Gianna is another omega.”
“Look at her. She’s already a Luna but her head got huge. She forgot that she’s just an omega to begin with. Now, she must have realized how arrogant she was being.”
“Well she deserves it! She should have been thankful enough that Alpha Kylian was so charitable and took her as a Luna. But she’s so greedy that she even wants all of Alpha’s love.”
Hearing all of their baseless accusations, I became more emotional.
I scoffed. “Thankful?” I should be thankful to Kylian? What a joke!
Even if the Dark Moon Pack was the most powerful pack in this continent, being given an opportunity to be a “Luna” was still a s disgrace to my title as a princess. A mere title as Luna was nothing to be thankful for nor be bothered about.
I tolerated everyonce’s mistreatment on me including Flaor, Margot, and Nathasha’s just because I love Kylian and it all was for naught!
Now that my heart was bleeding and my patience reached it’s end, lowly people like them dare to insult me?
My hands trembled and fisted in anger, nad my fangs involuntariy elongated. Standing up with my eyes changed to gold, I stepped forward to approach them, ready to teach them a lesson.
“Stop right there!” someone shouted before I could reach the group of gossipers.
I stopped as the group made way for the one who spoke. Seeing who it was, I narrowed my eyes.
“How dare you all insult her?” she pointed at them with fury in their eyes.
I scoffed, totally bewildered.
It’s Nancy, the omega whom Kylian had sent to me before Jackson sent me Diana after Nancy shamelessly seduced and drugged Albert.
With such severe crime, not only wasn’t she punished accordingly, but Nancy shamelessly treated me like shit after she was re-assigned as kitchen supervisor which was the best position for an omega to have. However, recently, she had become so weird.
She had randomly sent me cakes, of which I had to exphasize that had nothing wrong in it. And now, she was even defending me. What in the world did she ate that made her change so much?
Nancy looked at them exasperatedly and opened her arms open to shoo them away. “What are you guys all still stand around? Leave! You worthless pieces of shits!”
Then, she turned and looked at me with concern. “Are you okay?” She looked around me, examining my body. “Were you hurt? Tell me.”
Nancy's change was so big and sudden that I coudln’t help but be suspicious of her.
Seeing my lack of response, Nancy took a few steps away to make me feel safe.
With deep look in her eyes and a glint of guilt, she spoke gently, “I’m really sorry for what hapepned before, but I really changed!”
She even raised her hand to show her vow. “I was just so stupid before and let Abigail’s provocation manipulate me. I really regret it… and I hope you can forgive me….”
I stared at her for a while, and retracted my fangs as my wolf and I calmed down. “The one you should be asking for forgiveness is not me, but Albert.”
Nancy fidgetted on her figners and looked away in embarrassment, “I’ve done so many wrong things and I hope to make up for it.” Then she looked at me with hope and sense of urgency in her eyes. “I have something very important to tell you. It’s related to you and…”
“Nancy! Are you slacking of again? Come here and move!” Someone shouted from the kitchen, calling her.
She looked back, “I’m coming!”
Looking back at me with panic, she said, “I’ll tell you some other time, I’m being called. Bye!”
With a wave of her hand, she turned and ran back with urgency.
I watched her leave, feeling speechless. I only raised an eyebrow, completely uninterested to what she wanted to say.
After everything that had hapepned, I knew how cunning and viscious she was. With a heart liek that, she’s not someone who’d change so easily.
But still, a small part of me still wonder what it’s about.
Sighing, I shook my head and walked back to Kylian’s residence in the pack house.
“I want to know it,” I muttered, dedicated to know more about that woman, Gianna.
