Kylian’s POV

Leaning back at the seat of the study room, I was in daze as I thought back of the day I confronted Luke and went in there with Gianna.

The pitiful look in Gianna’s face flashed before me as she begged me desperately to be save. It’s just as the same as Flora’s. How she arched her brow, how she cried senselessly, and how she held onto me for her life.

I scoffed. “What a great actress!”

They both are the same, living off by deceiving everyone around them as they act pitiful. It’s more infuriating that they did it to me and I realized it all too late. For so long, Flora decieved me and I let her affect my decisions which brought me to the hell I was in right now.

Because of that, I hated Gianna even more. She’s a complete reflection of how Flora was when she was in here.

But as much as I hated her and wanted to kill her, I coudln’t do anything with her fro the moment.

The priority right now as to investigate Luke and dig as deep as I could to get every evidence I needed and see all of Luke’s wrongdoigns.

And because with Gianna’s presence, I think I could win Della’s heart again.

I already asked my trusted men and made them start a rumor around the pack that a woman who looked exactly like Dellaw as in my office.

I intentionally let them think that someone new would replace Della. Sooner or later, I believe that this gossip would reach Della’s ears.

Knowing her too well, I know that she wouldn’t be able to stand idle.

No matter how much convicted she was into endign things with me, it’s just he mind and rationality talking. Deep in her heart, I knew that she still love me and it’s something she couldn’t deny.

How could she? Her eyes was in the same pain as mine when she broke things with me. She still love me, and I’d make her confess that.

I stared at the door, completely at lost.

What I was doing was a huge risk that could either make things go so right or so wrong. Gianna’s presence would stimulate Della’s emotions into many ways than one could imagine.

Just like before, I want someone’s presence to force her jealousy out. Once her emotion overflor and her possessivenss and competitiveness as a woman subconsciously resurface on her, I’d succeed on getting her.

“You’re delusional! I told you, just stick to Gianna and all things will go smoothly.” My wolf kept advising me to do otherwise.

Up until now, he still hadn’t recovered from our last conversation with Della. After our position was questioned by her, he somehow wanted a submissive woman like Gianna.

I rolled my eyes. “Come on, don’t pretend. We both know that you still like her. You’re just as hurt as I am.”

“You!”

“It’s a gamble we need to take risk on. We can do it. I can do it…” I said, convincing him, but it ended up like I am convincing myself rather.

After all, what I was doing was a double-edge sword. I needed to keep Gianna close to me to keep my plan on move, but at the same time, I also needed to be extremely cautious to not let her get too close to me and cause a problem.

Letting out a deep sigh, I grabbed a document to continue to work on when a knock on the door took my attention.

“Come in,” I permitted.

Opening the door, Joey came in. He’s one of the best warriors in the pack and one of the few that could directly report to me.

“What is it?” I asked, but after a few second a petite woman wearing a pitiful expression came from behind him.

Anger instantly radiated in me.

I slammed both my hands on the table top and stood up, glaring murderously at Joey. “Didn’t I gave an order that she’s not allowed anywhere my residence? What are you thinking bringing her here?”

Joey looked down, overwhelmed by my anger.

“I-I’m sorry Alpha. It’s just…” He looked at Gianna before shifting his eyes back to me. “She begged me to let her see you and… she looked so pitiful.”

Narrowing my eyes, I walked out behind my table and approached him. Staring at him down, I sternly uttered, “If a pack’s warrior disobey the alpha’s orders because he couldn’t reject a pitiful woman… Tell me, Joey… Is he even worthy to be a warrior?”

Joey trembled upon hearing that and his eyes ventured the entire room, suddenly seemingly unfamiliar to it.

Walking back, I leaned back on my desk, keeping my eyes at him.

“In the Dark Moon Pack, and every other packs, the warriors are the backbone of packs. Warriors are responsible for the safety of pack members and the first line of our defense. Warriors are even ready to lose their lives if necessary.”

Joey frowned and stared on the ground.

“Am I wrong?” I asked him.

He shook his head and answered in a whisper, “No, Alpha.”

“That’s the reason why the warriors are treated best in the pack and respected the most by the members! Because you, the warriors, are a hundred times better than slaves, omegas, and werewolves who grow crops! And above all, they strictly abided by Alpha’s orders!”

I was shaking. I made it clear that Gianna wouldn’t be anywhere near my residence! She’s just a tool and not needed to be actually close to me!

Joey looked so aggrieved. His hands were on either side of him and it was clenched in a fist.

He’s not angry at me but more of to himself. Obviously, he had understood his mistake.

“A worrior needed to engrave it into his mind that he shouldn’t let anything or anyone affect his decision. He’s not to be manipulated,” I thought.

Every warriors didn’t only needed training to fight and handle weapons, they also needed to strengthen their willpower.

They were the first defence, hence they should stay loyal and not let anyone manipulate them into disobeying or doing things that would bring harm to their pack members.

In the past few days, I had observed how many of the warriors assigned to me had been moved by Gianna’s pretense. She’d act pitiful to them, and they’d be swayed so much as like now that someone disobeyed me for her sake.

Many of them thought I was being too harsh on her, pushing some of them to do something that would anger me. Some even plead for her mercy.

I scoffed at that. I was harsh? How could I even be called harsh when she’s merely doing what’s she outhgt to do?

She’’s not just an omega, but an omega slave. It’s a usual job for a status of her kind to clean the bathroom.

I never punished her in any physical manner nor did I starve her. I even paid her like every other workers in the pack.

Why should I give her mercy and show her special treatment just because she looked like the pack’s Luna? Whatever she do or how she look like, she would never be Della. She’d never be the woman I love.

After what she had done, pretending to be Della and sneaking into my bathroom to seduce me, she would have died as the rightful punishment.

Keeping her alive was already a huge mercy for her.

If she wasn’t so useful, I’d had even left her in Luke’s residence for him to kill her and vent his anger on her.

So how dare Joey nor any other warriors take her side?

Staring deeply into Joey’s eyes, I ordered, “From today onwards, you, Joey, are dismissed from your warrior status. You shall give your badge back to Henry and reflect on what you’ve done.” Then, I turned around and went back to my seat.

Hearing that, though, Joey trembled and kneeled. He begged, “A-alpha… Please, I didn’t mean it. It’s just Ms. Gianna looks so pitiful and kind that she wouldn’t even dare kill a bug.”

“I—” He looked back at Gianna and continued, “The cleaning work task for her keeps things hard for her, so if it’s possible for her not to be responsible for cleaning the toilet anymore…”

“You’ve been punished, revoked from your honored position, and you still are pleading for that low life? You only proved how unworthy you are to be a warrior.”

“Warriors!” I shouted, and two warriors came in with a look of shock in their eyes upon seeing Joye on the floor.

With bloodshot eyes, I ordered, “Take them both away!”

They both looked at each other, hesitating from dragging their co-warrior.

“Now!” I shouted, and they all jolted in fear, hastily moving to clear the room.

Once they were gone, I just rested my head on the backrest, trying to calm myself down.

After a while, though, Henry mindlinked me. “Alpha, we needed to go to the playground to check on the training results of the warriors.”

Hearing that, I immediately stood up and put on my coat to join him.

However, as soon as I reached the door, I bumped into Gianna, who was carrying a basin of water.

“Fuck!” I cursed when the water spilled on my pants. “Don’t you have eyes? What the hell are you doing?”

“I… I’m sorry, Alpha… I… I didn’t mean to do it… Please forgive me…” she trembled and hurriedly wiped my wet pants.

She took out a handkerchief from her pocket and tried to dry the wet area near my groin.

My eyebrows furrowed at her inappropriate action, and I was about to grab her wrist to stope her, but a voice from behind made me freeze.

“What are you doing?”

That sweet voice… I knew that too well. My heart skipped a beat. It’s Della. She’s here.
