Chapter 148

Ralph looked at her for a while. His shoulders slumped down, and he dejectedly turned and left.
I shook my head. “Look, he didn’t want to see you yet. And I doubt is he ready to listen to your excuses. Ralph’s already in pain, so don’t make him suffer more by forcing it.”
If Stella really loves Ralph, she should give him some more time to think to himself. Like she said, he liked to stay in the garden whenever his heart was in a dilemma. Since she already decided to wait, why didn’t she just wait more until he was ready?
Forcing would only hurt Ralph further.
I could see that Stella loved Ralph, but to what extent, I wasn’t sure. Because after everything she did, I just couldn’t help but think that it’s probably not as deep as she pertains her love to be.
If Stella really loved Ralph that deeply, she wouldn’t be able to do what she had done.
Stella wiped her tears with the back of her hands and took a deep breath to calm her fast-beating heart.
“Believe it or not, but I never liked Kylian. I never wanted to replace you as the luna of this pack, either. I love Ralph so much with every soul and body of mine, and the moon goddess is my witness for it,” she vowed with so much emotion.
I could feel and hear her genuineness, but I couldn’t help but sneer. “You love Ralph? Then why did you kiss Kylian? Why, please, Luke? Is this your way of showing your love? Because if it is, you have a very funny way to show it.”
She shook her head and answered with conviction, “None of that is sincere! I don’t want to kiss that scumbag wither! Besides, even without me being in the picture, that jerk will still fall in love with someone else.”
Now she’s cursing him after seducing him? Ridiculous.
By her words, I suspect she meant Flora. Who else had been my rival in Kylian’s heart aside from Stella, nother than Flora?
Her eyebrows furrowed with pity. “Do you think you’re irreplaceable in Kylian’s heart? That’s just an act.”
“He already found a woman who looks exactly like you, and he’s keeping her by his side. She’s Gianna, and everyone already knows that she’ll be replacing you as the Luna,” she revealed, completely taking me by surprise.
“What did she say? Did I misread it? Did she say that Kylian found someone to replace me with, and she looked like me?” I thought in confusion as a pang of pain pierced through my heart.
I couldn’t believe that he’d be able to do that. It’s only been a few days, and he has already found a replacement. And what? Does she look like me? How absurd was that?
My breath hitched in anger, and my heartbeat accelerated.
“Although I destroyed your relationship with Kylian, you can’t deny the fact that I also helped you see his true face. If I didn’t come into the picture, you would have fallen into his act. Leaving Kylian is a better choice for you,” she said.
What’s annoying is that there’s even a hint of arrogance in her voice. I didn’t care if it’s intentional or what, but that ticked me off even more. Was she really here to beg me or infuriate me even more?
I scoffed in disbelief. How dare she say such a thing?
No matter for what purpose, before Kylian and I officially processed our divorce, we were still married. She intentionally seduced Kylian with that knowledge and brought me harm. It’s not only about how she emotionally hurt me but how she stepped on my dignity as a Luna of this pack.
I sneered, asking sarcastically, “So, do I have to thank you then for your oh-so-gracious act of kindness?”
Seeing my anger, she took a step back and made her expression much gentler as she softened her tone. “Please… I… Just please put on a good word to Ralph for me. He respects you so much, so he will definitely listen to your advice.”
“A-as long as he reconciles with me, I’ll help you teach Gianna a lesson!” she begged and then scoffed a comment, “How dare that Gianna, a mere omega, dare to even dream of replacing the Lycan princess.”
I knew she was fluttering me to help her, which made me even more angry and sad at the same time. I looked away from her and took a deep breath to calm my boiling blood.
“I don’t need your ‘kindness’, Stella. And don’t even think I’ll help you in reconciling with Ralph,” I uttered with conviction.
She’s right. Ralph respects me so much that he’d likely listen to my advice, and that’s more reason why I shouldn’t do anything like that. I should let him decide fro himself and not tell him what to do, forcing him.
The news Stella brought me broke my heart even more, making me want to drive her away faster.
I wanted to vomit in disgust. Just not long ago, Henry saw me saying that Kylian was so depressed, and yet there he was, already found a replacement for me!
Once Stella left, I went back home and went straight to my room, bursting into tears as I felt my heart tear into a billion pieces, slowly dying.
“Kylian! You liar!” I shouted in a low voice that was almost inaudible.
Trisha, at the back of my mind, was also wailing and cursing Kylian in pain. “The divorce is about to be finalized soon, and Kylian will be nothing but a stranger to us. Whatever he does is none of our business anymore, so don’t dwell in sadness anymore.”
I clenched my chest to lessen the pain and nodded. Trish was right. Still, I couldn’t help but want to see that, Gianna.
“I couldn’t believe that Kylian would be such a scumbag!”
I stood lifelessly with a bleeding heart and walked towards Kylian’s residence, the pack house. I wanted to see Gianna; before I knew it, my feet were already bringing me on my way.
