Chapter 121

Stella tightly held my hand while frantically shaking her head. “Please, you can’t let Ralph come in here.”
Panic was all over her face.
I pursed my lips, and forcefully pulled my hand away. “You’re wasting your time.” I took a step forward to walk pass her, but she took a step back with agility and block my path.
“I’m really sorry! I’m sorry for all my past behavior and for everything I did to you. But please, you can’t let him come here and see me. I’m not really interested in Kylian, I swear!”
When I finally stopped attempting to leave, she stood upright, and intensely looked into my eyes. “Please…”
I pursed my lips. “The invitation had already been sent and it’s most likely that Ralph will agree.”
At the back of my mind, I couldn’t help but feel rejoice. I couldn’t wait to see what will happen.
‘I hope Kylian sees it with his own eyes once Stella reveals her true face.’ My wolf sneered in my mind.
I couldn’t help but agree with her. So I stared at Stella and said, “There’s nothing more I can do about it, so let’s not waste each other’s time, shall we?”
Her chest rose and fell, and suddenly, she shouted, “Can’t you stop being a selfish bitch?”
What?
I froze and looked at her with disbelief. “Excuse me?”
The audacity of her to call me in such manner was beyond my words. How dare she?
Stella pointed a finger at me. “Yes! You heard it right! You’re a selfish bitch! How can you not even hesitate and ruin other people’s relationship. Oh, right! How can I forget? That’s your forte, right?”
I clenched my teeth. I wanted nothing more but to slap that thick face of her, but I knew better than to act barbaric. Unlike her, I won’t stomp so low.
“You’ve been far more extreme than I am, Stella.” I took a step closer, looked at her deep in her eyes, and bitterly smiled. “I only invited Ralph, while you went far and beyond just to take claim on someone who’s not yours.”
Stella’s chin quivered in anger. She also stomped her foot on the ground like an unreasonable brat and anxiously finger comb her hair. “If a problem between me and Ralph, it will all be your fault! Remember that!”
My fault? A selfish bitch? Then what could she be called?
My heart still quenched in pain as memories of her kissing Kylian right in front of me flashed in my eyes. Those days when she didn’t think twice to send me photos of their ‘dates’ and heartlessly push me to divorce Kylian sooner.
Did she found me as a pushover? How dare she call me a selfish bitch and a wrecker when I only made an invite while she did those unforgivable things while having a mate of her own?
“It will be yours and yours alone! You shouldn’t have come in here pretending all innocent while heartlessly making a gap between me and Kylian,” I retorted with a scoff.
“You don’t understand! Ralph is my fated mate! If he come here, he’ll be hurt, and maybe he will reject me. I don’t want that to happen. My relationship with him is very important to me. Are you so heartless as to not take that into account?” she’s fidgeting and blubbering in a loud voice.
“It's all your fault if he rejects me! And I will never forgive you!”
Could she even hear herself?
“Then you should’ve thought of all of that - of what you might feel, before you did everything you did to me!” I stood upright and uttered in a Luna manners, “Don’t do onto others what you don’t want others do onto you.”
“I… But! It’s…” Stella started speaking incoherently before tears started streaming down her face. She tired to wipe her tears dry but more just kept streaming down and her breathing even started to become uneven. “Ralph can’t come here…”
She was being unreasonable and speaking incoherently. Obviously, she was breaking down. A hint of sympathy rushed over me for a second.
I stared at her, and felt a need to back down. However, thinking about how she caused my further suffering in here, all sympathy I felt vanished in an instant.
Memories of how she and Kylian laughing together with their hands engulfed with each other back when I was ready to take any risk to get back together with Kylian for my pups sake rushed in my mind.
If only she didn’t come and here stir further damage with Kylian and I. Then maybe… just maybe… things won’t be as complicated and wrecked as now.
With that thought in mind, I said, “That’s no longer my business.” Then, I turned around and left her there to cry.
As soon as I came back in the shack, I was greeted by Diana’s misserable face.
“What happened?”
She had her hands inside the basket of laundry with a frown on her face and a slumped shoulder.
I walked closer and sat on the chair while still looking at her. Arguing with Stella took my energy.
“It’s gone again…” Diana uttered in a low voice before she slammed her hand on the table. “Those thieves!” And there she was, being herself again, anger rosing.
“Calm down. What’s gone?” I asked again, signaling her to take a seat.
She slammed down on the chair with her hands crossed over the laundry basket.
“Someone stole your clothes again!” she exclaimed and rammaged through the basket to prove her point.
With a furrowed eyebrow, I peaked inside. “Which one?”
She stood up again, obviously couldn’t stay clam. She grabbed a bunch of clothes and showed me.
“Look, some of your clothes went missing again!”
Confused, I looked through the clothes. Indeed some clothes were missing. “Strange…” I uttered and tilted my head as I wonder.
I looked at Diana, and explained further, “Those clothes are another ones given to me by Kylian.”
Those clothes that went missing this time weren’t as expensive as the other ones that went missing the first time.
Why would anyone would risk anything just to get these clothes that are so cheap?
“Alpha Kylian’s gifts again? Why will a thief be so choosy as to only get those that are gifted from Alpha Kylian? What’s the point in doing that?” She nodded in agreement. “It’s really strange.”
I bit the inside of my cheek and tapped my fingers on the table as the gears in my head started to move.
“Diana,” I called out.
“Yes, Ms. Della?”
“I want you to go to the black market and buy a small hidden camera. Install it as soon as possible.”
With my instruction, Diana eagerly nodded and prepared to leave. “Got it. Right away!”
Right after Diana left, my phone which was inside my pocket suddenly rang. Grabbing it, I saw Kylian’s caller ID on the screen.
I stared at it for a while with hesitation before I swiped the answer button.
“Hi, Della.”
“What do you need?” I asked casually.
He cleared his throat, and went on. “I want to invite you to a dinner as my way to show my gratitude for your help earlier.”
“A plain thank you will be fine. I didn’t do that for you.” I replied. Coming to the voting wasn’t for his sake, but for the packs. I believe that there was no need for us to further be involve with each other.
However, after a few seconds, he pleaded, “Please, at least let me thank you in person.”
All right. I really need to talk to Kylian after all. The Crimson Pack has already been selected and we need to prepare early.
“Fine then,” I replied and ended the call.
He texted me the location. It’s a fine dining restaurant. It’s a bit hassle, but considering the place, I had to change.
In the end, I was able to fine a red fitted cocktail dress that reach three inches above my knees. It had a Grecian neckline which lined with glass diamonds. Under my breastline was an inch of sequence that act like a belt all around the dress.
It looked elegant and gorgeous, but won’t make me look overdress either. I paired it with a black pump and tied my hair in a messy bun, keeping a few strands on either sides of my face.
Upon my arrival on the restaurant, the staff opened the door for me, and a personnel greeted, “Good evening, Ma’am.”
“Good evening, a reservation from Mr. Kylian Jarvis.”
“This way please.” The personnel guided me toward the VIP section where each could have a close dinner.
It’s a western restaurant which specialize in steaks. Just by the high-end decorations and top-quality service, I could already know that it’s one of the known five-star restaurants.
The door to the private room opened and thanked the assistant personnel who guided me before she left.
Turning around, I saw Kylian standing upright before me with a huge smile on his face.
I wouldn’t lie, he cleaned up so well like every other time I saw him. He was, without a doubt, a handsome man that could make any she-wolves all giddy.
I hate to admit it, but his appearance could still make my heart skip a bit.
He’s weaning a sky blue shirt underneath his royal blue suit jacket which was paired with a khaki suit pants and a brown leather shoes. Damn, he’s hot!
Despite that, I kept a straight face and walked inside.
“Thank you for coming,” he said joyfully, and eagerly pulled a chair for me.
Nonchalantly, I sat as I watch him happily sitting on the opposite chair.
He smiled and continued, “I’m so glad that you agree to come for dinner with me. I couldn’t…”
“The Crimson Pack’s drug are about to be supplied in Dark Moon Pack. What are your plans?” I interrupted.
I knew I’m a little rude. But he must have think that this was a date or something. So before he went on and blubber things about us, I had to make it clear that I was here for business and nothing more.
He seemed to be hurt by my words and paused before continuing, "Do we have to talk in such an indifferent way? Can we only talk about business? We once loved each other after all..."
"That was once." I answered, grabbing a glass of wine, twirling it’s content gently.
He sighed before the huge smile on his face totally wiped off and changed into a business expression.
“Don’t worry, I already gave orders to warriors and inspectors that all drugs entering the pack must be examined strictly. It will be checked at the border by expert pharmacist and other professionals before being distributed.”
I took a sip of wine to hide the surprise in my face. It turned out that Kylian was already well prepared and acted on in way faster and better than I imagined he would do.
I’m impressed.
Later on, steaks and other dishes were served on the table.
While cutting the steak into smaller pieces, I asked casually, “If…”
When I saw that I got his attention, I placed my knife down as Kylian did too. “If Luke were found to be accepting bribes from Crimson pack…” I raised an eyebrow. “Will you punish his according to the pack law?”
I was intently looking at him, seeing his every reaction.
Though there wasn’t evidence yet, I was sure that Luke had been violation the pack law and interfering with Kylian’s management for years. It’s only that Kylian had been tolerating him and kept accepting Luke’s unjust punishment.
Whenever Luke didn’t like something, he’ll hurt and whip Kylian and abuse him in every aspect just to push him to do things his way. From the very start, it was a violation already.
Kylian was already the Alpha and even if he was an elder and a former Alpha, he had no power or right to punish an Alpha and treat him in such manner. Nonetheless, Kylian respected him as his father and tolerated all his interference.
I’ll be getting evidence against Luke soon enough. If that time comes, what would he do?
Would Kylian chose to punish Luke as he deserve, or would he remain tolerate toward him?
