Chapter 117

It didn’t take long, and the voting day came already.
For the past few days, Stella had been coming to the shack I was in, determined to convince me to talk to her. However, everytime, I would refuse and would only let Diana deal with her.
All I wanted was my peace of mind as I take my time to relax and enjoy my days with my pup. I didn’t want all the stress and worries I was carrying over my shoulder to harm my pup in any way.
“No begging can melt my heart anymore,” I whispered as I thought of Stella’s constant begging.
Now that she had the audacity to do something, she should have been ready to face the consequences of her actions.
My phone pinged again with notification.
As usual, Albert sent me pictures and short emails of updates about Wakeland.
“Is he busy?” I whispered in wonder.
I’ve tried calling him every chance I got, but he never got through. He always sent me another message shortly after hanging up the phone.
Faced with such a complicated situation in Wakeland, Albert must be very busy and not even have time to answer my call.
I smiled. I was so lucky to have Albert helped me deal with Wakeland's affairs, so I could wait for my divorce day in Dark Moon with peace of mind.
“Ms. Della, the meeting time is about to start.” Diana came in to remind me. I nodded my head and stood up from my bed.
After taking a quick shower, I went to change my clothes. Since it was an official meeting, I chose to wear clothes that were smart casual.
Partnered with black trousers was a collared long sleeve. The shirt itself was white, but the collar was black. It was cute, casual, and also a bit formal at the same time which was perfect for the event.
I would have paired it with heels, but considering the tension at the pack, I may encounter some unexpected situation where I need to be at my best. Hence, I only wore a white sneakers.
After all, with everyone hating me, I wouldn’t know when someone would attack me, and when I would have to protect myself.
“Perfect!” I said while looking in the mirror.
I looked elegant and graceful despite my clothes not being too formal. It was a perfect fitting for the event, and with my upright position and head held high, I could say that I was looking like what Luna should be.
“I’ll leave first,” I said to Diana, and she nodded in understanding.
As soon as I opened the door to leave, I was greeted by Kylian who was standing right in front of the small porch.
He stood there with his hands behind his back, and greeted, “Hi, ready?”
I glanced at his back and saw that Henry was also there. As usual, he had that constant hostility in his eyes that he always gave to me.
But I wouldn’t mind him anymore.
Kylian stretched out his arm and motioned for me to take him.“Let’s go?”
I merely looked at it and shook my head. "It’s fine."
Afterward, I fully went out of the door, and closed it behind me.
I was about to walk off with them, but Kylian didn’t gave me a chance.
“You agreed to come with me. Please act like a Luna,” he said in his Alpha voice and forcefully grabbed my hand.
I didn't understand his childish insistence, but under Alpha's order, I had no choice. I could only mentally rolled my eyes and let him pull me.
The door to the conference room opened. Kylian entered first and I followed afterward. And at the back of me was Henry.
Since we were a few feet away from Kylian, Henry warned me in a low voice, “You’re just a mere omega who knows nothing. Don’t even try to use that bird-like brain of yours and just follow what Alpha does and says.”
I glanced back at him with a glare.
At least I knew that the Crimson Pack may have bribed Luke. He was the one who really knows nothing and was derelict in his duties.
Nonetheless, Henry continued, “What? I’m right anyway. You came here all arrogant thinking you are fitted for being a Luna. Don’t overestimate yourself. The supplier hadn’t changed for the past ten years. You’re just here for mere formality.”
He was full of disdain. As usual. Well, he won’t change any time soon anyway.
I stopped walking for a while and raised an eyebrow at him before letting out a smirk.
It looked like he really didn’t have any idea that Luke had suggested another pack to supply them. And worse, it was the Crimson Pack.
With a smug smirk, I said, “Just wait and see, Henry. I think between us, you’re the oblivious one.”
He only gave me a dead stare. It looked like he didn’t take my words for real.
Well, he’ll see later.
I took a few quick steps to follow Kylian and walked through the door.
The Meeting Hall is a circular place with multiple levels of seats around it and a high platform in the middle where the voting box has already been placed for today’s voting.
There were already many people sitting in their seats. Kylian looked back at me and led me towards the highest seats for Alpha and Luna.
But at that time, Luke and Stella walked over from the center of the hall.
Seeing me, Luke immediately screamed sarcastically. “What are you doing here? You’re not qualified to make a vote. You’re just a lowly omega!”
I smiled, unfazed by his repetitive insults.
I also didn’t bother replying to him anymore.
Once Troy sends me concrete evidence, I’ll surely put him in jail and make sure he faces rightful punishments.
Looking at the side, I saw Stella staring at me with great anxiousness. Her stare seemed like she was silently begging me to stop Ralph from coming in here.
She was about to open her mouth when Kylian came by my side.
His arm wrapped over my shoulder, as if he was trying to shield me from Luke’s aggressive ways.
“I asked her to come,” he said as a reply to Luke’s words. “She’s an excellent Luna of this pack, and no one is more suitable than her to attend this meeting.”
Shifting his gaze at Stella, he asked, “Stella, as the Alpha’s daughter of Lock Heart Pack, what right do you have to get involved in our pack’s internal affairs?”
“I…”
Luke interjected, “She’ll be the next Luna of this pack. Of course, she has the right.”
With a raised eyebrow, he asked Stella, “It seems like you are interested in becoming my Luna and be part of the pack’s internal affairs. Is that it?”
Stella immediately became panicky, and uttered in haste, almost going on a break down.
She waved her hands in disagreement, and said while frantically shaking her head, “No! I never wanted to come.”
She shifted her eyes toward me. “I just came here because I heard that Della is coming! I wanted to talk to her!”
It seemed like she no longer cared about anything else, and all she wanted was to talk with me.
“Please, I’ll wait for you at the door. I really need to talk to you.” With that, Stella gave me a worried look and then walked out the door.
Hearing that, Luke snorted, left with nothing to say and just sat down at his voting booth.
Seeing as the dispute had ended, I walked with grace and sat on the booth intended for Luna which was across from Luke.
‘It will take several days to get the evidence I need. But before that, I need to persuade everyone else to vote against Crimson Pack or the Dark Moon will face great disaster!’ I thought with determination.
It was the reason why I sat here as Luna. Since I already decided on it, I had to do my best.
Once Kylian sat on his seat, everyone kept quiet.
“The voting is about to begin…”
