Chapter 107

“Wait…” Diana stretched out her hand, trying to stop me when I went out following the warrior.
I looked at her and gave her an assuring smile. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll just talk to Luke and see what he wants.”
“But…”
“I’ll be fine.”
“Come on, slow poke!” The warrior uttered with impatience as he grabbed my arm and pushed me forward, ushering me to move faster.
“Hey! Be careful, you brute!” Diana angrily scolded which immediately took the attention of the warrior.
He turned around and glared at Diana. “What did you said, slave?”
Diana, who looked nothing like an omega, charged at the warrior so bravely.
I quickly stood between them, looked back at him, and raised an eyebrow, “I thought you’re in a hurry? Come on, then.”
I took the initiative to walk first, ensuring that he’ll follow me.
At my peripheral vision, I saw Diana’s chest rose and fell with anger. Then she put down everything she’s about to do and followed us quietly. I could only sigh in defeat. No matter what I say, she’ll still follow worriedly until she’s sure that I was safe, which may not happen until I’m out of this place and officially divorced with Kylian.
While walking outside with warriors surrounding me, I couldn’t help but feel like I was a prisoner being escorted to jail for my punishment.
“Look, is she being kicked out?”
“What did she do?”
“Maybe she’ll be officially be back to an omega!”
“It’s time for her to pay for her whoring around!”
Many speculations from the pack members outside their house or work could be heard outside. I couldn’t blame them though. By how I was being treated, it’s what I’ll think too.
Looking at the warrior who fetched me, I asked, “What exactly is happening? Care to brief me in?”
He gave me a side glance, not intending to answer.
Irritated, I stopped moving, forcing all of them to stop as well. I looked at him with stubborness, waiting for him to reply.
He sighed. “Once you arrive at the canteen, you'll know. Sir. Luke is waiting there. Now, move.”
Canteen…
Now, I knew why Luke was asking to see me.
Just hearing that word was enough for me to put things together. Abigail probably did something and reported it to Luke. However, I couldn’t help but think that she might have said more than what’s real.
“You’ll regret what you did today! I’ll make sure of it.” Suddenly, I was reminded of what Abigail said that day.
Was this what she meant when she said I’ll regret it?
I scoffed. Her confidence amused and intrigued me. Let’s see how far she decided to go.
Upon arrival at the canteen, I was immediately greeted by a furious high pitch voice.
Inside, Abigail was standing with a grim expression in her face. With her fingers pointed at me, she started flooding me with half-truth accusations.
“That’s her! It’s all because of her, Sir. Luke! She hurt all the omegas, so now they are all in strike! The entire canteen is shut down! I can't even offer you a glass of milk.”
She then shifted her gaze and looked up at Luke with victimized expression. “Sir. Luke, she knew how important the kitchen omegas are, and yet she still bullied them. No matter what their ranks are, kitchen is the most important place in the pack. It’s where everyone eats and replenish their strengths. She puts our warriors at risk of malnutrition.”
I crossed my arms and rolled my eyes. I just let her keep accusing me, and see how she would play things out before humiliating her.
Abigail continued, “Every omegas were so humiliated that they went on a strike! This never happened before. It’s all her fault for using her rank and bullying the omegas. I think she forgot where she came from.”
I noticed that she looked at me with a proud and sinister look when she paused. She was so hidden that no one noticed except me and Diana.
Diana got more furious at every word she was saying. I fear that if Abigial continue more, she’ll be attacking.
Taking this as the right time, I entered the canteen to retort, “You know well that it’s your fault. Now you want to pin the blame on me?”
She didn’t know that I had Diana record what happened that day.
She probably thought that this would be a case of her words agaisnt mine. Because if that would be it, I surely would lose. Unfortunately for her the trump card here was mine.
“Don’t put it on me!” Abigial denied, but I couldn’t care less for her.
Shifting my gaze to the side, I looked at Luke and… Stella.
She was standing beside Luke as if she was already the new Luna of here and had a say in the internal affairs. Looking at her in this situation allowed made me feel uncomfortable.
How disrespectful! Though my relationship with Kylian would surely end in a divorce, I’m still the Luna until that happens.
Don’t mind it. Just let it be.
I said to myself, and act as if it was knowing.
“You insolent low-life omega! I already threw you in a remote shack so you won’t meddle in this pack, and yet you still managed to cause trouble! How shameless can you be?” Luke sarcastically laughed and continued as he point at me, “And yet, here you are, still walking with confidence! Shameless!”
Stella’s eyes widened in shock when she heard his words, and she immediately looked at Luke. “Oh no. She’s a...Luna. You can’t call her like that.”
Luke looked at her in shock because she seemed to be protecting me.
Well, since she knew who I really was, it would be her instinct to do so. But her flattery meant nothing to me!
Luke soon bacame angry because of her refutation.
Blinking and recovering immeditaely, she comforted Luke, “Sir...Please calm down for now so we can investigate properly first.”
Acting like a Luna, huh?
She shifted her gaze at Abigail, and asked with authority, “Did you see Luna Della hit a dozen of omegas with your very own eyes?”
I saw how Abigail trembled though she tried to hide it. With quivering voice, she replied, “Yes, I was there and a witness to all of it. She verbally humiliated and abused them! The omegas were all trembling with fear as she tried to kill them. She continued even when they beg.”
After looking at me, Abigail continued, “They… they are all innocent and weak omegas… and yet, she went on and vent her anger in them. There were those who have a fatal injury that needs weeks of recovery. There is even one who has a fracture shin.”
A fake tear dropped from the corner of her eye, and she wiped it dry with her wrinkled hands.
I wanted to laugh. What a best actress.
Bored by her acting, I asked, “Do you have any evidence to all your accusations?”
Abigail let out a smirk and snapped her fingers. In a matter of seconds, a dozen of omegas with visible injuries in them and bandages came out one after another.
“Tell her,” Abigal instructed, and they went on.
“She lifted and threw me in the air. The force was too much that I fell to the stoney ground and injured my back.”
Two came fowrad. “She twisted our hands.”
“She kicked me in the stomach, and threw me to the ground.”
“She caused my dislocated shoulder.”
They went on and on about their injury, and Abigail secretly looked at me while listening. I guess she wanted to see me worried and scared.
But why should I worry, I knew that I did nothing wrong.
With a raised eyebrow, I stared at Luke without fear, and asked, “Should someone who abuse and verbally humilaite someone be punished?”
With his head held high and a satisfaction in his eyes. Luke even stood upright, ready to hurt me by his own hands.
He replied with a smirk, “Of course! So, Do you plead guilty? Are you ready to be punished?”
I looked at Abigail, Nancy, and the rest of the omegas.
Each of them had a proud smile on their lips. Obviously, they think they got me this time.
Fools!
I smile with ease and went to look at Luke.
“I hope you go by your words, and punish who’s at fault.”
Abigail and Luke were obviously surprised by my words, but they quickly regained their composure.
Luke even smiled. He nodded and said, "As a former Alpha, I guarantee that anyone who commits abuse and bullying will be punished with the harshest punishment."
“That would be great.” I said and took out my phone.
