Chapter 79

As if reading my mind, Lucas gave me a knowing smile before he shifted his gaze back to Kylian.
“Della possesses a noble soul. No matter what kind of status she falls into, she’ll remain noble,” he explained vaguely.
Hearing his answer, I couldn’t be more relieved. I let out a discreet sigh. Now I was sure that Lucas was indeed able to foretell my real identity.
Despite that, I was very thankful that he respected my decision and kept it hidden.
“So, let’s get in?” Lucas offered as he stepped, assigned and pointed toward the cabin at his back using his hand.
“Thank you,” I replied while Kylian just dominatingly walked toward the cabin like he owned it.
I sneezed and followed him together with Lucas beside me.
“Please have a seat,” he motioned toward the brow sofa. As he said, Kylian and I sat down.
A minute later, Lucas came and sat on an empty seat after putting two cups of water on the coffee table, one each for me and Kylian.
“Tea, coffee, or juice?” Lucas suddenly asked, making me raise an eyebrow.
I looked at Kylian who only nodded at me, so I reluctantly said, “Uhm, juice I guess?”
“Enjoy then,” Lucas said and just like that, the water on the cup changed its color from transparent to orange.
Skeptical, I carried the one in front of me and took a sip.
It tasted like an actual fresh orange juice!
I smiled. “Thank you.”
“So, can you tell me in detail about your friend?” Lucas asked, making me freeze.
He kept surprising me about how many things he knew, and I seemed to keep forgetting that he was a skilled wizard.
Seeing that I was still in fear, Kylian spoke first, “He injected an Amare potion made by another wizard. Unfortunately, that wizard died.”
“I see… an Amare potion…”
Finally out of daze, I asked, “Will you be able to help? He is already in great suffering and he won’t do the other solution even if it kills him.”
Lucas waved his hand. “Oh, no worries. It's an easy one. Actually, you’re in luck. You won’t even need to wait for me to make one. I still have a contrasting potion for Amare left in my cabinet. As sad as it is, Amare potion is quite popular in the Wizard industry and commonly causes chaos.”
“Oh, thank you. Really, I wouldn’t have known what else to do.”
Lucas stood and walked to the end of the cabin. He stopped in front of the wall with lock runes engraved on it and touched it with his palm.
Then we heard him whisper a few words which I assumed were Latin. “Aperi! Sermo meus sit clavis. Sit mihi palma una tecum. Aperi!”
As soon as he finished, he withdrew his hand, and a small door opened. Inside was filled with various small crystal containers with different colored liquid inside.
He grabbed a pentagon-shaped crystal with moss green liquid before turning around just as the opened door earlier vanished as well.
“Here, mix it with any liquid drink and have him drink it. He should be back to normal in a few seconds,” Lucas explained, and I immediately accepted the potion and held it dearly in my hand.
“Thank you, really! Thank you so much!”
I stood up together with Kylian, ready to leave, when Lucas spoked again, “Alpha Kylian, if you don’t mind, I’d like to have a few minutes with Luna Della.”
Kylian furrowed his eyebrows. “What for?”
Lucas glanced at me and replied, “My magic is quite active at the moment. I’d like to do some fortune telling for her.”
I was surprised by that. But by glancing at Kylian, I guess he was just as surprised as me.
Fae told me to ask Lucas to do some fortune telling to me but I didn’t expect that it would be him that would offer instead.
“That’s actually a surprise. I thought you don’t like doing that stuff. After all, my mother and sister asked you multiple times and you’ve kept rejecting,” he couldn't help but say.
Lucas smiled. “Forgive me, Alpha. But fortune telling is more complicated than that. And besides, your Luna is a distinguished guest of mine. I’m more than willing to do one for her.”
Kylian smiled and simply nodded. “I’ll wait for you at the door.” After that, he went outside.
As soon as I was left alone with Lucas, he immediately took a step back from me and bowed down with huge respect.
“Princess Della,” he greeted, not standing back upright until I replied.
“Thank you, please rise,” I said and he did as I asked.
I smiled gratefully at him. “I really appreciate that you kept my secret. Thank you.”
He made me settle back on the couch as he went to the kitchen. When he came back, he had a tray with a huge clay pot and a jar of fresh tea leaves on it.
After placing it down on the coffee table, he smiled and looked at me. “Shall we start?”
I nodded.
Lucas moved with grace and elegance. He passed his hand on top of the pot and the water immediately let out a smoke as it turned from hot to cold water in an instant. He opened the har next and smoothly threw a few inside.
The tea leaves floated around, until forming a shape of two wolves.
For some unknown reason, my heart was beating fast as anxiety filled me.
“Fated mate…” he whispered.
“What?” My interest was instantly at its peak.
Lucas smiled. “You will meet your fated mate in a month at the earliest, or three months at the latest. If you can stay with your fated mate with a whole heart, then you will have a marriage that everyone will envy.”
A fated mate… A marriage to be envied about… It was all too much. My nervousness increased. How about Kylian then…
Not wasting time, I asked, “What about me and Kylian? About my relationship with him. Will he and I be over for good?”
To find their fated mate and live happily was every wolf’s dream. I should be happy, but for unknown reason, my heart was aching at the mere thought that my relationship with Kylian would really end.
I know. I was being a hypocrite considering that I was the one who had been asking for divorce, but still… I couldn't help it.
Lucas closed the pot and taped it three times. Upon opening it, the tea leaves form a shape of an uneven circle.
“I see. You and Alpha Kylian had already formed a close connection with each other and so are your wolves. Closer than anyone would expect you to have,” he vaguely said.
“What do you mean?”
“This formed connection between the two of you will cause you a dilemma. This will make you hesitant in leaving, and probably make your entangled relationship with Alpha Kylian not to end as you expected.”
“I…”
Lucas was without a doubt answering my questions, but I couldn't help but still feel at a loss. It seemed like he was talking in riddles. Like there was more to his words than meets my ears.
“Oh, let me see... something new. That's interesting. Princess Della, your most loyal knight is also about to appear, a new one you have never met.”
What he said made it difficult for my brain to function.
A new life. A fated mate. A life without Kylian. That was all I had wanted hence the divorce. But what did Lucas mean about my entanglement with Kylian? What’s that connection he was talking about? And a knight? What did he mean by a knight?
Lucas suddenly stood up. I guess that’s the cue that the fortune telling had ended. I can only swallow all the problems in my throat and stood up with him.
He reached at one of his cabinets and grabbed something.
“Here, take it.” He handed a necklace to me with a small box as a pendant.
I tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge.
“The box will remain locked for now. Always carry it with you no matter where you go, Princess Della,” he instructed firmly, making my hold on the pendant tight.
“Must.”
