Chapter 60

Kylian's POV

“What?” I couldn’t help but be surprised. She shouldn’t do that. No, she couldn’t. I can’t have Della be doubtful of me even more… And…

"You… You should have seen your face! I'm joking," she said, waving her hand.

"I know it's personal. I'm not trying to be nosy; just a little bit curious. It's rumored that you're getting a divorce, so I cannot help but wonder. No need to answer, though, if you don't want to."

The way she spoke and the way she didn't seem fazed made it seem that she was still talking professionally to me, which was why, as strange as it was, I didn't overthink it.

I didn't like that rumor, so I clarified to her. "We aren't divorced yet; I won't let that happen. She's my mate, my Luna, and my lover. That won't change no matter what happens. Not now, not tomorrow, and definitely not in this lifetime."

"Oh… but it's true that there's a divorce in progress?"

"I'm fixing it."

"How?" she asked.

I thought for a while before I answered. "I am courting her again. She's here, and I have a month to make her change her mind. I know I can do it. She still loves me, and I feel the same. I'll make her feel every day that I love her with all my heart. I'll make her feel secure with my feelings…"

I have more things to say, but I stopped when I saw her shanking her head. "What?"

"I can feel how much you love her and all. You're dedicated, and I salute you for that as your friend. Men like you are rare to find… But…"

Narrowing my eyes, I halted and intently looked at her. "But what?"

"You can't get her back like that." She crossed her arms over her chest and looked at me with confidence.

"What do you mean?"

"You don't know it. Only another woman can fully understand another woman. Which means… only I can help you right now."

Now, that got my full attention.

"How about this? As a meeting gift, I promise you that I can make her change her mind about you, but… You must do everything I say."

"Why would you do that?" I couldn't help but feel a bit suspicious. We knew each other just now, so why would she help me?

"I respect your dedication to the one you love. I might not look like it, but I am a bit of a romantic myself. Besides, we are friends now, aren't we? So, I'll help you."

With that, she shrugged her shoulders, and I sighed with relief.

"So, what do you plan to do?"

"The first step is to make her jealous?"

As soon as she said that, I instantly protected her. "No! That will hate me even more. Before, a gap was created between her and me because…"

"Hep! Stop right there, Alpha Kylian. You don't know how a woman thinks. I do! Trust me, it will work. Besides, are your tactics even working?"

I became silent at that. So far, none of it did.

"Now, tell me… Where is she around here?" she asked, looking around the place.

Fresh ideas… Maybe she's right. I need some fresh ideas.

As if on cue, I spotted Della not far from where we were. I was still a bit skeptical about her idea, but I just went with the flow.

"Fine!" I replied and discreetly nodded to where Della was.

As agreed, we walked around for a bit like we didn't know she was there until Stella called her over.

Stella showed Della her interest and possessiveness in me almost maliciously. I saw anger burning in Della's eyes, and I had to admit that I felt shamefully happy.

Because every angry question she made told me: She still loves me!

This is the biggest surprise I have received in a month!

But the next second, she turned around angrily, strode away and fainted.

"Della!" As if that was my last straw, I pushed Stella's hands away from me and ran as fast as I could the moment I saw her body falling. Thankfully, I caught her just before she hit the ground.

My heart was beating fast with anxiety as I looked at her unconscious body. Without wasting any time, I carried her and rushed her to her room.

I put her on the bed, mindlinked my doctor and asked him to come over as soon as possible.

Then I turned around, unbearably reached out and grabbed Stella's neck and pushed her back until her back was against the wall. She frowned in pain and had difficulty breathing.

"Look what the fucking you've done!" I roared, couldn't control my wolf.

She hurt Della my Luna!

Instead of being remorseful, she victoriously smiled. "It's a good thing though."

"What? Look…" I frowned and unconsciously relaxed my hands, allowing her to finish her words before she choked to death.

"Calm down, Alpha. Look, she got fed up just by seeing you with another woman. It shows that she cares for you more than she wanted to show."

I observed Della's sleeping figure and remembered how she looked jealous and heartbroken earlier than she had before. My heart ached, and I felt joyful at the same time. I was happy that she still loved me, but it hurt to see that she was hurting as well because of me.

"Look, for her to realize that she loves you and that she wants to stay with you, she must feel first that she won't want you to leave her side," she continued explained, whispering by my ear.

After a few more persuasion from her, which all made sense, I finally ended up believing her.

At night, I invited her to discuss her ideas more. That's when I knew Stella a bit more and found her strange.

I watched in awe as she ordered two servings of steaks but only took a small bite from each of it. Later, she started taking photos of it and typed on her phone, which I just decided not to mind.

For several days after that, I could only suppress my thoughts and secretly visit Della after she fell asleep. It almost drove me crazy and kill me, I have to know what she is doing at all times.

"Nancy," I called out to an omega slave.

She bowed her head in respect. "Yes, Alpha?"

"Bring this dress to your Luna. From now on, you'll serve her every need. Take good care of her and tell her I want her to accompany me to the party in Lock Heart Pack.. "

She looked up at me in surprise, and for a second, I saw a glimpse of disagreement in her eyes.

"Is there any problem?" I asked in a stern voice as irritation buld up on me.

"N-no, Alpha. I'll go ahead." After she said that, she hastily grabbed the box and walked away from me.

'Good choice!'

I took a deep breath and looked forward to Stella's plan to bring Della back to me as soon as possible. But on the day of the prom, everything was beyond my expectation...
