Chapter 108

Tomorrow came. Damon was not on my side when I woke up. He must have left already. I stayed up late because of what he told me yesterday.
It's already noon. I obviously skipped breakfast because I was still asleep. He was thoughtful enough to leave me a note even though I already know where he is. I'm sure that he's with Gab again. They've been closed these past few days.
"Ivaaaaw!" Bubbles greeted.
"H—Hey?" I greeted in half awakened voice. She raised a tray that's filled with a bunch of foods. I smiled sweetly at her. She's so thoughtful even when I almost shit myself when I saw her waiting outside my door.
"Ivaaaaaw!" she chirped again and came running inside my room. I chuckled and followed her amusedly.
Bubbles put the try on out little breakfast table. She acted like a cute waitress and pulled me a seat. "Thank you," I told her and smiled. I thought she'd stay longer, but she left when I finally started eating my food. I just sighed silently and glanced at the balcony.
"The weather seems nice today, " I mumbled to myself.
I arched my brows when I saw a white dragon flying in the sky. My vision is not the best, but I can clearly see Gab on Damon's back. They're having fun without me, huh?
"Come outside. I have something to tell you," he said in my mind. I rolled my eyes and smiled. He's treating this knot thing like a messenger. This is his new way in communicating with me.
"You should have woken me up when you did," I scoffed. He chuckled softly.
They're still playing in the clear blue sky like children. I wonder what he's going to tell me? Aside from him saying sorry to me. What else could it be?
Oh, I know.
The reason why I stayed up all night and why I woke up late without Damon by my side.
The disclosed issue.
How should I put it? This is so hard for me too. I'm quite certain that he's going to tell me about his decision. His voice didn't sounded too serious, but that's how he is anyway.

"Hello, Golden!" Elaine greeted cheerfully when she saw me walking out the castle.
I took a quick shower before going out. The weather isn't hot nor gloomy. It's just perfect for a picnic. And that's what I'm seeing right now. Elaine is seated on a picnic blanket and has so much food on there especially pastries.
"Morning," I greeted shortly and smiled.
She rolled her eyes. "It's past noon already, Golden." I chuckled and sit beside her. I just ate, but I the food is too appetizing for me to ignore.
I grabbed a fork and cut a piece on the cake. The chocolate filling of it left a strand and it looks so good in my eyes. I opened my mouth and was about to eat it when Damon decided to ruined everything by snatching the fork from me.
I glared at him.
He suppressed his laugh and cut a piece on the cake again for me to eat. I rejected it and rolled my eyes. He's getting Gab's goofiness. I'm not blaming him for that. It actually makes me happy that he's becoming more of what he actually is.
He never showed this side of him to others.
"You got her!" Gab said and laughed like an idiot. Elaine hit him in his arm and I mouthed her thanks. She winked at me. "Aw! Your hand is too big for my thin arm!" he said exaggeratedly. I smiled while watching them fight.
They're bickering again.
I glanced at Damon. "What is it that you want to tell me?" I asked. He turned his head to look at me. My heart flutters when I saw his pupils dilated again. He's so in love with me that he can't control it.
"Can we talk somewhere private?" he asked.
I arched my brows and nodded slowly. That's not a problem.

Damon decided to bring me on the training fields. There are few Chosens in here training their gifts, but they're far enough to hear whatever it is that we're going to talk about.
"Are we going to talk here?" I asked. We're now seated on one of the benches in here. He's not answering me. "Hey?" I called again. He looked at me astounded. His surprised expression is questioning me why I called him.
"Why?" he asked.
I looked at him confusedly. Wasn't he the one who dragged me in here? He's such a nuisance. I rolled my eyes and was about to go back to the picnic spot when he grabbed my arm and laughed.
"I got you again. Hahah!"
He made me sit on his lap while laughing like an idiot. I gave him an annoyed look. He kissed my shoulder and smiled.
"Fine, I'm sorry. Just trying to lift the mood before I say my final decision to you. It's a little serious, you know?" he said in a low voice.
The line in between my forehead disappeared when I saw his smile wiping off.
Damon's stressed. I know that. He's doing his best to make me feel better, but we have to face the reality that we have to face what's in front of us.
I heaved a deep sigh and closed the gap in our faces by giving him a peck on the lips.
"It's okay," He looked at me. "you can tell me whatever. I'm here to support you. Tell me what your decision is. I'm always with you," I told him sweetly.
He put his head on my shoulder and inhaled my scent.
"I—I'm actually thinking of going back there. We have to di something to distract them. I believe that Wizardus are putting more fuel to the fire," he said.
I smiled and brushed his hair.
"And we can be the water to stop that fire," I added.
He raised his head to look at me. His pupils dilated once again. I put my hand on his cheek. His stubbles are growing back. I shaved them not so long ago.
"Will you come with me?"
I stared at him for a few seconds before nodding my head slowly. He smiled handsomely and kissed my lips. I wrapped my arms around his neck and smiled in between our kisses.

"What?" Elaine furrowed her brows in confusedment. She looked like she wasn't expecting us to go back there and fix what's happening there.
"Are you sure?" Gab asked worriedly.
Damon and I glanced at each other. God Hlaford told us to keep this problem a secret, but we know that we can trust this bickering couple. They might be loud sometimes, but they never spill secrets.
We're also willing to hear their advices.
"It's the only way we can ensure that our world will not be disclosed. Enemies are trying their best to ruin our world. It's either they'll rule or they'll destroy it," Damon explained to them. Gab looked at her worried parsen.
"Can we come?"
My eyes grew big when I heard her say the most unexpected thing I'm expecting to hear right now.
"Elaine!" Gab blurted. She glanced at him and back to ys again.
"I'm serious! Things will be better if you have us. We can help you guys!" she convinced. I looked at Damon who seemed to be thinking about what she just said.
"We're not playing here, Elaine. That's not a good joke."
I looked at them. Gab seemed to hate the idea so much. I understand. He doesn't want to put Elaine in danger and that's what everyone wants.
"Gab is right, Elaine. Humans are inevitable. We don't know what they're thinking," I added. Elaine looked at me.
"That's why you need us. Gab can read minds. He can us find better information," she chirped. I looked at her. Judging if she's serious or nor. She's looking straight at me. She's not kidding.
"We're about to inform God Hlaford now. Are you sure about that?" Damon asked.
Gab clenched his jaw while staring at Elaine who looks so determined to come and help us do the quest.
"It's okay if you don't want to. You don't have to force yourselves," Damon said and holds my hand. He pulled me towards him and was about to go inside the castle when Gab speaks.
"She really knows how to put me into a stressed mode."
We glanced at them.
"Fine. We'll come."
