Chapter 109

Just like what I was kind of expecting. Gab can't leave Elaine behind. No matter how much they fight and bicker everyday. He couldn't stand Elaine getting worried and crying.
He's a nice parsen.
I smiled as I felt Damon's hand snaking in my small waist. I lifted my head to look at him. His bright smile made my pupils dilated. Those fangs of him never fail to attract me one bit.
"Should we go now?" Damon asked them.
Elaine lifted her crying face and frowned. "Since when did I become a crybaby? I can literally just tell you guys to bring us with you. I didn't have to cry. Hormones," she scoffed and wiped the trace of tears from her pretty face.
I bite my lower lip to control myself from chuckling. I can see myself to her when Damon and I did that 'thing'.
He said that first time's usually end up with girls being rather clingy or moody. It's just unfair. Psh!
"Let me," Gab mumbled and wiped her face using a handkerchief. "Stop crying already. You're breaking my heart."
I chuckled when I heard Damon bashing them secretly beside me. I turned my head to look at his frowning face.
"Stop complaining. You're like that to me too, you know? You're even worse," I said in a taunting voice and laughed. His ears turned red. "Oh, someone's guilty!" He looked away while squeezing my waist gently to shut me up.
"Let's go now. God Hlaford will be waiting for us inside his office," he said to the couple before dragging me inside the castle.

I've been smiling like an idiot since that scenario on the field. I don't know why, but the idea of them coming with us to do this quest makes me happy.
It's not that I liked the idea of putting their lives at risk. It's just that, if there's one couple I would like to share unforgettable experiences with, it's them.
"Always remember to bow your heads and put your hands on your chest. It's very important."
There's a hint of authority in Damon's voice and I can't help it, but to find him hot. He has always been the serious and strict billionaire type. No wonder why he was so popular in the outside world when we got back there.
Now, I'm battling inside if whether I should continue the quest or just locked him up inside our room. Just kidding.
I'm not the jealous type.
"H—How do we do it?" Elaine asked nervously. "Like this?" She put her hand on her chest and bowed.
"Like that," I agreed.
She lifted her head and smiled. "I'm really nervous right now. Speaking with the most powerful God in Spheria is my weakness!" she chirped and fan worried self. Gab put his hand on her shoulders to make her calm down.
They're so cute!
"Do you think he'll let us come with you?" Gab asked. I arched my brows and looked at Damon who seemed to be unsure of what to reply. "You told me that he had a hard time accepting your proposal. Will he take the risk to let us join in?"
"We'll know once we asked him ourselves," Damon replied.
One of the guards guarding his chamber told us that he has a visitor inside. We had to wait here outside. Thank goodness for the chairs. This castle is huge enough to make anyone go lame.
"Are you hungry?"
I turned my head to look at his handsome face. We've been waiting her for quite a time now. My last meal was that chocolate cake I had on the picnic blanket.
"I'm starving," I responded. He blew a sigh and grabbed something from his pocket. "A candy!" I chirped when I saw the familiar packaging.
How did he get these?
I smiled widely when he handed it to me. This was my favorite when I was still a mere human. I used to by this a lot. "But I thought human inventions are not allowed in Vortaxia?" I asked confusedly.
Wasn't that why my luggage remained on my room when I first got here?
He winked at me. "What's magic for?" he answered. I rolled my eyes jokingly and put the sweet candy in my mouth. This has always been my favorite. It's so good!
"I remember you telling me once that it's your favorite. I saw it being sold on the market down the hill," he said while fixing my hair.
I smiled at him. He remembers that? How thoughtful. I don't even remember telling him that.
"So, they got these using magic?" I asked. He nodded his head. I parted my lips while nodding my head.
Chosens are just like humans too. They're resourceful.
"What are you eating?" Elaine asked curiously while staring at my chewing mouth. I licked my lower lip before answering her. "Is that candy?" she asked again.
"Yeah. It's from the outside world. One of my favorites when I was still living there," I told her and smiled. Her ears twitched. "Do you want some?" I asked. She nodded her head cheerfully like a chipmunk. I give her one.
I watched her opened it and put it inside her mouth. I chuckled when I see her eyes doubling in size. "This is so good! Do you have more? Gab has to have a taste of this!" she said.
I grabbed the remaining candies and give it to her. I'll give those to her since she never had a chance to live in the human world and enjoyed their foods.
Vortaxia is more on organic and healthy foods. They don't have anything in here that's been processed by machines. Sometimes, processed foods are just good.
I immediately turned my head in front when the door opened. No one exited the room, but it seemed to be waiting for us to go inside. "I think we have go go inside now," I told them. Damon opened his eyes and Gab did the same. Why the hell are they sleeping?
I stood my ass. Damon's hand intertwined with mine. "Do not forget what I told you earlier. Hands on your chests. Heads must be humble. That's how you stand in front of a powerful God in Spheria," he reminded. The couple nodded their heads obediently.
Damon and I fronted them. I can hear Elaine's nervous heartbeats from here. I was like that when I first had an appointment with him. His presence has always been intimidating. But he's nothing, but a warm father inside. I'm sure that it will help Elaine calm down later.
"Vestacios," we said in chorus and bowed our heads. "God Hlaford," and put our hands on our chests.
"Blessed," he said.
The God of Spheria is staring on Elaine and Golden curiously when I lifted my head to look at him. "You have company?" he asked.
Elaine cleared her voice. "W—We're here to ask for your fair permission to join Damon and Golden on their special quest in the human world," she stuttered. God Hlaford arched his brows while looking at her.
"Have a seat first," he said and snapped his fingers to put two more chairs in front of his desk. We let the couple sit first before we occupied ours. "You want to join the prophecy's children on their special quest?" he repeated while staring at Elaine and Gab.
"We believe that my telepathic gift can help them investigate better," Gab added.
I winced when God Hlaford suddenly turned his head to look at me. Our eyes met. "How do they know about the quest?" he asked dubiously while looking at me and Damon.
Oh, shit. I remember him telling us that we should keep this quest a secret.
"I can read their mind. That's how long my telepathy goes. I can even control their minds if I want to," Gab said. Hlaford glanced at him and back to us again.
"Do you know how dangerous this quest is? This is not a simple battle that we had in our previous Batailen," Hlaford said. Elaine nodded her head continuously in agreement. "Our powers don't reached the outside world. We can't track nor help you if you'll ever need one. Are you sure you want this?"
Elaine's face turned white from God Hlaford's statement. We knew that from the start, but that didn't stop us from doing our quest before.
"Y—Yes! We're very certain."
