Golden's POV

Tiring is the one word to describe this day. I've been holding this stick for so long. Still no movement or whatever. The sun is starting to set already and darkness will make it difficult for us soon.

Like what I said, if we fail to see Fiscio today that means he's been hiding himself and he doesn't want to talk to us. Who likes that idea? C'mon we came all the way here for a good reason. It's not like we're here to cause chaos. He could at least cooperate?

"Tired already?" he asked. I looked at him and shook my head. He might think that I'm already giving up if I said yes. I'm physically tired but not mentally. We have to finish this quest.

"It's six," he says. I just nodded and diverted my attention to the sea. The blueness of it starts to fade and become clear. It can reflect the sky no more. "Maybe this quest is not for us."

"It is. We just have to wait. We still have time," I contradicted. I heard him sigh. "What do you think will Fiscio ask to us?" I asked trying to start a topic. I glanced at him and he's already watching the beautiful sunset before us.

"I have no idea. Might be something hard? Something that we'll really have to exert effort on?"

"Where did you grow?" I asked again. Damon looked at me and smiled.

"You asked me that already."

"But you never actually told me about your past. Unlike me who didn't know anything about this world?" He relaxed his shoulders and pulled me closer to him.

"Well, I grew up as the loser one. My father, I mean Draco's father would always set me aside and give the least attention. I never knew about Crystal. I heard of Lucio, he was one of the best right hand of Dragunus. He was famous for being the only pure dragon in Dragonia he'd saved a lot of wars."

"I met him once and I felt the connection but I thought it wasn't that important. When he died, my real father courted Crystal and they became husband and wife. Crystal has always been good to me unlike my fake father." He quoted his hands. "Turns out she's my actual mom. I wish we could meet her."

Yeah. I wish I could meet her too. The last time I saw her was when we were about to go and fight for the batailen. Not the most ideal meeting, huh?

I flinched when the string starts to move uncontrollably. It's like as if I've caught something huge and powerful. Holy mother of pearl!

"Grab it!" I yelled. Damon scooted to me and hold the stick. I reached for the string and start pulling it closer to us. My heart is pounding so hard in my chest and I could almost feel the butterflies in my stomach.

This is it people. Our ony chance.

One strong pull together with Damon and a beautiful mermaid sprung free in the water. It landed to us and before it could even do something and go back to water, I immediately throw the marble to her creating a medium size cage to contain her.

"Skwiiii!" she screams.

"No! We're not going to hurt you. We were just flustered but we are more than willing to free you if you," I comforted trying to gain her trust but she just snarled at me. I stepped a few steps back. Damon blocked his body.

"We're friends. Look here," he says. Damon grabbed a piece of bread in his pockets and handed it to the mermaid. I could see her eyes forming hearts when she sees Damon. They like pretty guys, huh? I should have used him as a bait. Would have make things much easier. Kidding.

"He's right. Please we just need your help," I told her. She looked at me dubiously and grab the piece of bread from Damon. She looked like she would never trust me but since I have a cute guy in here, she'd changed her mind.

"Skwiii?" she says and took a bite of the bread.

"What did she say?" I whispered to Damon. He looked at me and shrugged his shoulders.

"I'm a dragon not a fish."

I rolled my eyes.

"I speak," she says while looking at my parsen. She looks in love? Should I sell my guy? Hahaha!

"Ahmm. We're looking for Fiscio." He smiled. The mermaid looked surprised. She glanced at me and back to the bread she's eating.

"I saw him. He's underwater. Under the clams. Not far. Just below here. He's watching you two," she answers in cut sentences. She looked in the water. Oh yeah. I scooted to her and removed the cage.

"I'm sorry about the cage. I didn't mean to be..."

"Okay. Sorry accepted. You give bread to Linda. Food is friendship." She smiled. Nice English you got there. Wonder if I could learn some basic fish language? I never imagined that I would t to a mermaid. She looks friendly. I thought she'd be scary.

"Thank you so much! You're a big help," Damon says and holds her hand. My brows arched. Okay? Is that necessary? I snatched his hand away and smiled at the sardines. I mean mermaid. Whatever.

"Thank you for your time. You can go now," I said sweetly and pouted to the sea. She smiled devilishly and gave me a flying kiss.

"Jealous? I like girls not boys. Haha!" she laughed and jumped to the water.

Okay?

"That was unexpected." He chuckled. "So she says Fiscio is just below us all this time?" he blurted. I nodded hysterically. Gawd! He was watching us and he's not even saying anything. He could have at least gave as a sign but you know what? Whatever.

Let's do this.

"Let's go then. Time is running," I told him. He looked at me and smiled. Damon intertwined our hands and we both jump to the water with huge smiled plastered on our faces.

I was expecting to see darkness but surprisingly, it wasn't dark at all. Apparently, we have the skills of a fish and fish can see in water. Light reflects in their eyes and so as ours. Pretty cool, huh?

"Just below," I whispered. We dived into the deepness of the cold sea. It was a really pressuring moment but Damon's hand gave me strength. We could do this together. We can persuade Fiscio. We can.

And there I saw him, sitting on the top of a huge black clam. He looks so intimidating for a fish. You can tell just by looking at him that he is not a normal part of the sea. He has a title. He has a purpose.

And that's why we're here.
