Chapter 11

Golden's POV

"Who was that guy?" I asked him for the nineteenth time. But just like how he ignored my previous questions, he didn't answer.

We've been walking for a little while now and I've seen different Vortans already. Some of them looked scary but that just what makes me more interested. I glanced at my left hand and I scowled when I noticed that my suitcase is gone.

"I think I lost my suitcase," I told him. He glanced at me and I tried to cope up with his big steps.

"Human inventions are not accepted in Vortaxia," he scoffs. My lips parted because of what he said.

He should have told me yesterday. I've wasted my time packing all my stuffs. I even had a mental debate in my mind whether I should bring or not some of my napkins. "Where is it then?" I frustratingly asked him.

"Still on your closet," he plainly replied.

I stopped when he stopped walking. My eyes automatically scanned the huge palace like structure standing before me. It's beautiful.

"The Parsenation is about to start," a girl with green hair walked passed us and said that. I glanced at Damon and he was staring at me. I awkwardly looked at him. "W-What?" I asked him.

"You're beautiful," He whispered and give me warm smile.

My cheeks heated because of the sudden sweet talk. I looked away in embarrassment and I heard him chuckled. I unconsciously step forward and walked inside the palace.

My lips parted and I thought I just dropped my jaw on the floor. "Wow..." is all I managed to say. I lifted my head and my eyes widened at the beautiful view.

There's a really huge chandelier above and there are a lot of Vortans flying around it. The palace is white in color and there are strips of gold in the columns. The floor is clear and I could see how high up we are. This is surreal!

There are flying small hairy creatures everywhere. They're all holding baskets with different varieties of foods and clothes.

"What are they?" I asked Damon. I pointed the flying hairy creatures and he followed my index finger.

"They're called ivaws," he answered. I nodded my head and smiled. "They were Vortans but because of a felony they've done. They were punished by the Gods and will be serving Vortaxia for the rest their lives," he further explained.

I carefully nodded. That's quite sad. Well they turned to cute creatures anyway.

I looked at the ivaw talking to a guy beside us. "They're said to be the ugliest creature in Vortaxia," Damon mumbled. I glared at him. How dare he call them ugly!

"It wasn't me who said that," he defended himself and raised his hands. I just rolled my eyes as an answer.

An ivaw stopped in front of us. He smiled at me and his two front teeth shows. That's cute!

"Ivawww!" he squealed and handed me a glass with a pinkish and bluish liquid inside. I carefully took it and his smile widen. I looked at Damon and he nodded.

The Ivaw flew away and I examined the curvy glass. "It's just a juice," he said. I touched the mouth of the glass with my lips and tasted the juice. My eyes widened because of the sweet taste of it.

"It's good!" I squeaked. I scowled when he chuckled. Did I sound to hick? My eyes widened when he lifted his hand and wiped the corner of my lips.

"You left some sugar on your lips," he says. I wiped my lips in embarrassment and what I saw was not sugar but a glitter like stuffs. Where did these glitters came from?

"It's pixie sugar. It's from Mythonia Kingdom," he said. How did he know that I was wondering about that? Does he reads mind?

Wait.

What's his gift?

"Everyone please divide yourself according to your race," a high-pitched voice filled the whole place and I winced when the floor started changing and four octagons appeared.

I read silently the following words written on each octagon.

Damon's POV

I smiled when I saw Golden's eyes squinting to see the words written on each dividus. Her eyes widened. She must be worried because she doesn't know where she's supposed to go. She looked at me with her beautiful worried hazel eyes. "Where do I go?" she nervously asked me.

I gave her a smile and hold her hand. She's my parsen which means we have the same race. She's a dragon like me. I can't wait to see her transform herself into a beautiful dragon.

I brought her to the red octagon and the other Vortans chose their spots. She glanced from side to side scanning and wondering what will happen next.

It's the Parsenation ceremony, the purpose of that is to find your Parsen. Your parsen will be the one to come along with you throughout your journey in Vortaxia. A Parsen is also a mate. A mate you're destined to be with. And the first step to that is to group ourselves according to our races.

"Why do we have to group ourselves?" she asked.

"Vortaxia is divided in four kingdoms." She asked more and I tried my best to satisfy her curiosity.

I scowled when I saw Voughn from a far with his friends. "Hey man," a familiar voice said. I followed the voice and I saw Adam. I nodded at him as a response and he looked at Golden.

"Is she your parsen?" he asked. I vigilantly nodded and hide her behind my back. He rose his hands and I noticed a girl following him from behind. "I found mine. Don't worry, dude," he said and laughed.

He's my close friend. He celebrated his birthday at the club where I met Golden. "I'm Golden. Nice to meet you." My eyes widened when Golden's hand sprung free and shake Adam's hand. He looked at me awkwardly and I glared at him. He shoved his hand and smiled nervously.

If I will describe male dragons in one word, it would be possessive.

We're very protective in our mate and that's a common trait to us.

Malivus!

I glanced at the Mythos' octagon when it screamed falseness. It caught Golden's attention too. One Vortan from their group is not supposed to be there. The part where the Vortan is standing turned black.

He must have thought that he can easily sneaked to another Kingdom by grouping himself to them. He was forcefully removed from the group when he persisted. There is another guy that seemed to be a Mythos, fighting the guards.

"Oh no. Another friends with different races are trying their best to share the same Kingdom," Adam slurs.

What a tragic story.

I glanced at Golden and she seemed to be taken a back by what she's seeing. I was about to hold her when the part of floor where she's standing became white.
