Chapter 12

Golden's POV

My eyes widened when the part where I'm standing became white. Astounded, I looked at Damon and he looks pretty shocked too.

Malivus!

As the octagon screams that, two Vortans wearing metal clothing came running towards me and grabbed my arm. "H-Hey!" I strangled.

"Let go of her!" I was surprised when Damon yelled at them and bashed one of the guards. He went flying from the other side of the palace and my lips parted because of what I just witnessed.

He's a little too strong than what I expected.

He was about to attacked the other one but more guards came and they restrained him. He was also stopped by his friend, Adam. "Just let her go, Damon! You know you can't persist," his friend told him. My heart is pounding like crazy!

Are they going to kill me?

Damon's POV

I wasn't able to do anything when she was taken by the guards by force. I yanked my arms off Adam and snarled at him. He raised both of his hands in the air. "Pissed off!" I growled at him.

"Do you plan to commit a felony?!" he growled back. "Stop being impulsive, man. You know you can't twist the rules in Vortaxia." I released a deep sigh and my anger subsides.

He's right.

"Why would you even bring her here," he asked. "Didn't you see what happened to that Wizardus and Mythos? We can't mingle in other races and you know that," he scolded. I hissed and I became more furious when I saw Voughn's fucking ugly face.

I can't be wrong! I know that she's my parsen. I can feel the sign when she's near me. There's something wrong going on in here. How in a bloody hell did she turned out to be a Chosen. Only her can answer that but she doesn't even know that she's a Vortan.

What the fuck is going on.

I followed them taking my parsen from the another dividus. There's a spell on each dividus and it automatically distinguishes the Vortans race. I can't believe that she's a Chosen. Is it possible to have the signs with the wrong Vortan?

I feel extremely possessive with her and that's something a male dragon can only feel with his parsen. And I believe that she is my parsen.

There is only one way to find out.

The findan pot.

Golden's POV

"W-Where are you taking me!" I stuttered. They didn't answer and just take me to the other octagon. It's the white one where there's a word written Chosen.

So does that means I'm a Chosen and not a Dragon?

I recently found out that Damon is actually a dragon. I don't understand anything in here. Do I really belong here? I don't even know where I should group myself in this so called four kingdoms.

If I am Damon's mate, why are we living from different kingdoms? Aren't we supposed to be living in the same kingdom as a mate? Wait. I don't get it. I'm so confused.

The guards let go of me and I awkwardly stand in the middle of the octagon. They were all looking at me for about a minute before they finally decided to mind their own businesses. I bowed my head in embarrassment. I don't know what to do now.

"Hello!" a female voice greeted. I lifted my head and I saw a girl with green hair waving her hands at me. She's familiar.

"I think I saw you at the entrance," she chuckled. I gave her a small smile. She's right. She's the girl I saw at the entrance. "My name is Elaine," she says.

"G-Golden," I replied. She took my hand and shake it. "I manipulate some plants. How about you?" she asked. I looked at her confused and puzzled because I don't know what to say.

I don't even know if I have powers.

"You seemed to be pretty shy. Don't worry I like introverted friends. Hahaha!" she laughed and I chuckled.

She talked to me and told me some of her stories and eventually I got comfortable. She's a twenty year old Chosen and she can manipulate root crops. At first I didn't really understand why it has to be only root crops but it happens to be like that.

She looks asian and her braided green hair suits her well. "The parsenation ceremony will start soon. Have you found your mate?" she asked. I remembered what Damon told me and I carefully nodded my head. "Yeah. I have." I think?

Her eyebrows raised and she looked around. "Where is he then?" she asked.

"He's on the other octagon," I told her. She looked at me and she looked pretty surprised from what she just heard. I winced when she started laughing. Her reaction made me frown. I wasn't kidding though.

"You know we can't mingle on other races. Hahaha!" she laughed and my eyebrows met. What does that supposed to mean?

I decided to go with the flow and laugh with her. "Why?" I asked her. She looked at me and smiled. "Interracial love is not accepted in Vortaxia, duhh!" She rolled her eyes jokingly and I nodded awkwardly. But I have a dragon mate. Is that possible?

"But what if I happened to have a dragon mate?" I asked her. She stopped laughing and I smiled awkwardly.

"That doesn't happen you know. We can only have mate with the same race." She smiled and I nodded my head.

Then what happened to us?

I startled when the side of the octagons started having walls. I tried my best to looked at Damon but I lost him in sight. I winced when a fairy looking old woman flashed before my eyes.

"Please have your left palm touch the water inside the Findan Pot," she said politely. Her english accent is so thick. I gulped when a bowl suddenly appears in front of me. It's a Crock-Pot and there's clear water inside.

I looked around and all of us have a Crock-Pot in front of us. I lifted my left hand and touched the water in the pot carefully. I squinted when a strong light flashes.

When the light subsided, I opened my eyes and the fairy in front of me looks puzzled. "W-Why?" I asked her. I looked around and I noticed that all of them are now group into pairs.

"I can't seem to find your parsen here, dear," she mumbled.
