We waited for that strange creature to appear but we didn't see anything.
“Maybe, it's just a rat,” he said. I nodded and still tried to process what I should remind him.
“About your bruises, can you walk? You should not stay in here, it's more dangerous! Come to my house.” I lend my hand to his direction.
“No, I can walk, please let me stay on the side of the coffee shop, I'm sure that I'm safe when you let me go there,” he suggested.
I'm not convinced about his decision, but he wants it. “It's more dangerous when the people saw you in that kind of situation,” I stated while looking at his bruises.
“It's fine, I can manage myself.” I nodded and help him to stand up. I glanced at his finger.
The ring is still shining. After a while, the moon appeared once again. I scanned his whole body.
Nothing was changed to his body. “Just leave me here, and go home safely,” he said while smiling at me.
“Are you sure?” I asked with a tone of hesitation. He nodded and shows a wide smile just to give assurance.
I turned my back at him and begin to walk. If I'm not mistaken, he was waiting for someone to appear.
Furthermore, I jumped to the walls and hide in the dark. It's not too far away from his direction. I'm still able to watch him.
After a few more moments, someone appeared. She was from the shop. She looked around to find a car.
She went to the car. The car started to go and not that far, they saw some people running in the street.
There's a commotion. The car stopped in front of Yuan. A girl went down from the car and run immediately to Yuan.
The corner of my mouth raises a bit. So it's his strategy, huh?
The girl help him to stand up and they went inside the car. It drove away and I decided to follow them.
Some fangs grow in my mouth and the four legs appeared. My vision became clear and my hearing can reach a different direction.
I can smell their strong scent, especially Yuan. His scent of blood scattered anywhere. My body turns into a medium size of creature that has firm fur and long nails.
I started to run and follow the car.
From a distance, I can hear the familiar howls. My heart started to pump when I saw something at the side of the roof.
They are two wolves who are running at the same speed as mine. They have gray and black fur with red eyes that are visible from the darkness.
They should not be following me. They can cause a problem for me. I jumped to their side and bit her leg immediately.
A wolf lost her control. She accidentally bumped into something that makes her make a noise.
The other wolf jumped to my back and bite my back. His fangs buried down to my skin. I growl to him but he stared at me.
His stares are like a dagger that can create a scar. I didn't wait for him to move and bite his neck that cause him to fall.
I run away immediately and search for the car. Maybe, they change their way. I scanned the whole place while running.
Expecting to see the car that they used or the house. I looked at my back and the side, and thankfully they stop following me.
I'm sure that they are going to go back and follow me when they cure their wounds. I never doubt my fangs to leave a scar on their skin.
My heart stops to pump for a second when I saw her house. She was trying to carry my brother.
Yuan was half-awake and he counted control his weight. When they reached the house, I change my position and find a place to hide.
Luckily, I found a place. It is just in front of the window, but it's dark and no one was living here.
My brother laying on the couch. He was not talking and moving but I can hear his heartbeat.
It's pumping and beating like a drum. I can sense something, but maybe I'm just overthinking.
The girl disappeared for a minute. When she came back, she was holding a kit, water, and towel.
She started to wipe the wounds of my brother and gave him medicine. She gave him a shirt and told him to change his clothes.
30 minutes have passed when my brother decided to stand up from the couch. He shrugged his shoulder.
He scanned the place and his vision stops in my direction. I'm just watching his actions.
He gives me a thumb's up. I change my form. It feels comfortable and I can breathe normally.
He smirked at me. “Stupid,” I whispered. He smiled at me but it disappear when the girl went back.
The girl was sitting in front of him. I saw his cheeks turn into pale pink and he was scratching his nape.
My eyes widen when I see the face of the young lady. It's her. The girl that I always visit on the balcony.
I scanned the house. It's the same! Why did I forget it? I step backward and I gasped for air.
It can't be with the same girl. He wouldn't do that kind of thing. He will not be going to steal my young lady.
I'm the first to find her! It's me. I am the one who was guarding her when she's sleeping.
The girl went somewhere. I immediately go down and went inside the house.
“Let's go, the time that I gave you was enough. Stop playing around,” I commanded. He shook his head.
“I don't want to go home, besides, I have this ring you gave me recently, I can control my body,” he stated. I glared at him.
“Let's go home, our parents will be going to look for you,” I added while grabbing his arm.
“Ouch! It hurts!” he growled. I'm just glaring at him. If my stares are pointed that can kill someone, I'm pretty sure that he collapsed right now.
I looked at the kitchen. Oh no! She is going to go back in here! She didn't need to see me.
I grab his arm and pulled him outside before the girl see us.
“Are you out of your mind? She will be going to find me! I disappeared all of a sudden!” He raises his voice.
I glanced at him with a blank reaction. He became silent for a while. We are currently at the roof of the house because of his stubborn attitude.
“Alright, I'm sorry for not listening to you, brother,” he apologized. I was just glaring at him when he took a deep sigh and became silent for a moment.
My forehead wrinkled. “Do you know her?” he asked all of a sudden. I felt like I swallowed my tongue.
“N-No,” I replied. Quit stuttering, he should not know it. I'm hiding it from my father. My family is so secretive.
He inspects me from eye to eye down to my whole body.
“Really?” He narrowed his eyes while asking those questions.
“Yes.” I should be confident. Less talk, less information.
I walked away from him to avoid his next questions. He will not be going to believe if I saw any words that related to that young lady.
Furthermore, I have a plan. The corner of my lips raises a bit.
“Hey! Brother! Why did you leave me? Wait for me!” My brother shouted. I continue to walk and let him follow me.
“Let me remind you something, be responsible in using that ring and please, be aware that someone is following us, be alert!” I reminded him.
“Roger! Brother!” he admitted while proudly saluting to me.
We decided to go home because it's late.
