“I'm lost, Big sister, please help me to find my parents,” she mumbled while her head was hanging low.
Her shoulder was slumped down and I can hear some small sobbings from her, even though she's looking at the ground.
I glanced at the guy who was sitting in front of me. He's wearing a bewildered look on his face while his eyes were squinting.
“Seriously? I'm just right here, your brother!” My eyes widen when I heard those words from him.
Really? I looked at the girl. She's grinning at him while the guy was just glaring at her.
“Stop acting, it's not good,” he whispered. The girl giggled and wipe away her tears.
My jaw dropped while I'm watching and listening to their argument. My eyes glazed over them.
After a few moments, they stop shouting at each other and the guy looked at me. All of a sudden, they became silent.
“Big sister, ” the girl murmured. I glanced at her and the corner of my lips was raised.
“Yes?” I replied. Her cheeks turn pink while looking at the table.
“My name is Yuna and the guy beside you was my brother, I wonder why he's late to fetch me that's why the other kids were bullying me!” She glared at the guy beside me.
I glanced at the guy, which she was pointing to right now. He's staring off into the distance while his hand was on the table.
When he noticed my gaze, “What?” he asked while his forehead was wrinkled.
“Yoru, right?” I said with a soft voice. He nodded his head as an answer. He took a deep sigh and let it out slowly and he closed his eyes.
“What's your name? Miss?” the small voice coming from the young girl in front of me. She has small chinky eyes and a plump of lips.
Her hair length was at the shoulder while some bangs are covering her eyebrows. The round eyeglasses were aligned to the shape of her face.
“Astrid,” I replied. She gave me a wide smile.
“So, what should I call you? Sister? Miss? Big sister?” she asked while looking at the ceiling. The guy beside me is just listening and watching our actions.
“You can call me whatever you want, I don't mind it,” I stated. I don't know if it's just me or what, but her eyes were sparkling.
“So, can I call you, My sister?” she asked while looking directly into my eyes.
“My sister? It sounds like you're owning her, Yuna!” I glanced at Yoru, he's talking while looking at his wristwatch.
“Owning? Seriously? Big brother? She said that she wouldn't mind if I call her anything I want!” she exclaimed.
“I don't care! Just don't put the first word, just sister! Sister is enough!” His voice was raised until the people around us were looking at him.
His eyes widen and his jaw dropped a bit.
The face of her brother became pink and he covered it immediately using his hands. He bends his head and puts it on the table.
“Big sister, I would like to call you that way, so my brother won't be mad at me.” I assumed that Yoru was relieved by her words.
After a few moments, Yoru was still in that kind of position. Yuna gently pats his head, but he keeps avoiding it.
“Hey! Stop touching my hair! You're ruining it.” Yuna giggles. A smile was drawn to my face.
They are so cute together, knowing that they are siblings.
After a few minutes, Yoru raised his head. He keeps staring off into the distance.
I looked at him, but he keeps avoiding my gaze. My eyebrow arched, “Yoru?” I whispered.
“Hmm? What do you want?” he said with an aggressive voice. Yuna was just looking back and forth in our direction.
“Please, bear with my brother, he's just like that, a sudden change of moods, I wouldn't recommend talking to him,” Yuna suggested.
Yoru glared at her, but she keeps giggling.
“Nothing, it's nice to meet you!” I stated while giving him a cheerful smile. His eyes widened, but he immediately calms himself.
“Yeah, me too.” He looked at the ground. I noticed that his hair was covering his nape. Some of his bangs were on his face.
The tips were enough to align with his facial features.
“By the way, Big sister, I would like to give you this as a token of my appreciation for defending me from those bullies.”
My face turns pink and I manage to calm myself. She shows me a small stuff toy. It's a bunny figure with a dog sitting at the side of the bunny.
“Wow! Cute!” I exclaimed when I gladly accepted the toy. The guy beside me became silent for a moment.
“Please take care of that, okay? Big sister?” I nodded as a sign of my answer.
All of a sudden, Yoru suddenly stand up while looking at his wristwatch.
“Let's go home, Yuna,” he said with a soft voice. He glanced at the side and he holds the hand of his younger sister.
“Brother? It's too early to go home, I want to stay here for a little longer,” Yuna replied. Her brother took a deep sigh and closed his eyes.
“Fine, I will give you five minutes, after that we are going home, understand?” Yoru stated. He sits beside me and he took his phone from his pocket and started typing.
It's already 5:50 in the afternoon. The time always flew so fast, I couldn't notice it.
Thinking about some things that will be unacceptable, I'm always thought that it will end into something good.
For example, I don't like to go home because I know that I'm the only one who will go home. My parents are gone and they didn't even bother to message me if they are okay or not.
All I know was their debts and thinking about how can I pay all of those debts. Now I know, that's the reason why they are always on the phone talking to some stranger.
“Big sister? How old are you?” Yuna suddenly asked. My eyes widen, “Uhm, actually I'm not comfortable to say it, but for you...” I whispered.
My heart started to pound. It's like that, I'm not comfortable telling other people about my other information.
My name was enough, however, those little details are important to me.
“Yuna, don't force her,” Yoru said with an airy voice.
“Why? I'm just asking her age, I don't think that it will offend her? So, Big sister, if you don't mind, how old are you?” she repeated.
I remained silent for a moment. She's right, it's just my age, so why I'm will be offended by her question?
“I'm... 18 years old,” I replied. Her eyes widen and it seems like they are sparkling because of amusement.
“Wow! Really? I thought you're 16 years old woman,” she said with a cheerful smile.
I looked at the ground and I feel like my heart was going to throw up.
“She's right, I thought you're just a high school student, maybe, because of your height?” the guy said.
“What did you just say?” I asked. My arms were crossed and the frown on my face appeared.
“I said, you're too short for your age! Yuna! Let's go!” I don't know what happened, but the events are like lightning!
All I can see is they are running away from me with a wide smile on his face.
