ASHLY POV
Maeve looked really upset when I visited her at her parent’s house where she lives. In the garden we talked. I sat on a bench while she took a walk in front of me
"I can't believe Kaiden is the man you're telling me about." she said

"I also can't believe that Kaiden is your boyfriend."
"You didn't mention the name of the man who cheated on your friend before."
"I hate mentioning that jerks name. And one more thing its not important for you to know."
"He told me what was the reason he left Debb. He is not to blame"
"And did you believe it? Im sure, he just told you that to clear his name"
I was determined to emphasize Kaiden. I know that even its in the past, that incident still had an effect on Maeve. The experience with her ex -boyfriends was very painful. Her trust in men decreased. That is why it was so long before she re -entered a relationship. Now I know that she is afraid that what happened to Debb might happen to her and she will experience the pain she suffered when her boyfriends cheated on and broke up with her.

"I wanted to believe in him completely but I couldn’t. And I know you know why. Im afraid to get hurt so badly again."
"If you no longer trust him and if you think you will only hurt him. Then think things over"
"But I love him. I coul'nt just leave him."
"I know you'd say that."

"I'm really worried, Ashly. What if Kaiden just hurt me? But I used to love him you know?"
"What do you mean you used to?"
"Now that I know that a woman ruined her life because of him I doubt his true intentions towards me."
Maybe if it wasn't Kaiden he suspected I probably would have scolded him for being too OA and paranoid. But since it's Kaiden, Kaiden doesn't deserve my besfriend. Well I can’t blame my friend considering what she’s been through "I think he needs to know that you have doubts about him. For that, he can prove to you that he really loves you and he will never fool you. That he is really faithful to you"
She stopped walking back and forth. She seems to be thinking "You're right. He has to do something to prove that he really loves me and he won't do to me what he did to Debb and Lance did to me"
I nodded. My forehead furrowed as her shoulders sagged and he grinned "Why?"
"How would he do that if we were a month apart?"
My forehead furrowed "What do you mean?"
"Im sorry I didn't tell you the good news I should have said when I introduced you and Kaiden to each other, but there was a glitch. I'm flying to Thailand this weekend. We had a medical rescue operation there and I was one of the doctor participants and we were a month there. And I can be promoted"
"Wow! Im so happy for you"
"Thanks Ash, But the equivalent of that would be to leave Kaiden here for one month. From what I found out from you now, I'm more worried that while I'm gone, he'll exchange me and broke up with me after he found another woman."
I think there is a big possibility of what she said. I nodded
Her eyes widened slightly as if she had come up with a brilliant idea "Will you help me Ash?"
"Is that still being asked? You know I was always at your back"
"Watch out for Kaiden. Keep an eye on Kaiden while I'm gone because he might cheat"
"I will watch over him you mean 24/7? I follow him where he goes?"
"Yes exactly. If it doesn't bother you."
I don’t have a job in the morning. My gig isn't night after night so I have time to watch that man. "Okay I'll take care of him. Ill guard him well. He'll just try to fool around and I'll slaughter him"
She laughed "Don't.Thank You ash. You will help me a lot. I will feel more secure."
I also couldn’t be reassured while he was away and Kaiden was free. I really doesn't trust that man if Maeve can't be hurt. I would love to break them apart "Wala yun."
KAIDEN POV
"Come on Maeve, I already told you the reason why Debb and I broke up. Why do you still think like that." I asked Maeve
We talked inside my car as they stood to one side. She also told me the other day that she was leaving tomorrow for Thailand But we still fight because of what he found out from Ashly.
"I don't know Kaiden. I just can't bring my self to that issue."
"You don't trust me enough are'nt you? Or your just being brainwash of that Ashly"
"Leave Ashly out of this. Im just being too paranoid."
"If you trust me enough you won't be paranoid like that."
"Do you really love me Kaiden?"
I blew air "Ofcourse I do."
"Then proved it. Prove that you really love me. While Im away, Let's not keep in touch. Let's not call first. It will be proven that you really love even though I am far away and we have no communication, when I come back I am still the one you love."
"What the- your so unfair Maeve. I could'nt believe you thought about that bullshit. And I also can’t believe you don’t trust me at all."
WHEN I came out of the building where I worked as an architect, I was about to go to the parked car with a motorcycle parked in front of me. My forehead furrowed. The rider was a woman based on the shape of her body. She was wearing a black jacket and leather pants that were also black. In fairness, the woman was sexy. The rider lifted the wind visor he was wearing with his helmet "Hop In."
I recognized the eyes and the voice. It was Ashy, the sassy, cruel, and bastard friend of my girlfriend. My forehead furrowed even more "What are you doing here? How do you know where I work?
"Where else? From Maeve of course. Hop In."
"Why would I ride your motorbike?"
"We have something to talk about."
"Im in a hurry."
"Will you ride or will I shout at everyone here that you have little 'toot'?"
"What?"
"Hey everyone," she called attention to those coming out of the building "Did you know that Architect Kaiden Bautista has--"
I promptly covered her mouth "Shit! I'm going to ride." Holding back anger I say
She smiled lopsidedly.
For a moment I hesitated to ride "Don't you think its inappropriate for a man like me to sit behind a man like you?"
"Why? Do you think I could arouse you? Unless you find me sexually attractive, sitting behind me would never be a problem."
"No way! I don't find you attractive at all."
I forced myself to ride behind her.
DIZZY dizzy I went down as she stopped her motorcycle in front of a resturant. "You drove like a criminal being chased by police cars!"
A corner of her lips rose. After turning off the motorcycle engine she ushered me into the resturant
We stopped in front of an empty table and she sat down
"What are we doing here?"
"What else are we going to do here? Eating ofcourse."
She called the waiter and ordered. I was suprised when she ordered a big lobster for herself. Except for her order of soup, two cups of rice and dessert.
"Different class huh? Who will pay for what you and I eat?"
"Who else? Ofcourse you. I shouldn't have paid for this, you're the man. You should be the one paying."
I concentrated so I wouldn't be rude. Se forced me to ride her motorbike just so I could treat her food?
"What are you doing there? Sit down and order."
"Do you usually do this?" I asked
"What 'this'?"
"You drag person along with you that he doesn’t know why and then you just take him to a restaurant and have treat?"
"To be honest I want to talked to you." She hit the lobster "Do you really love Maeve?"
"Yes."
She arched her brow "Really?"
"Reall-"
"I don't trust you."
I smiled sarcastically "Obviously. But I don’t care. As long as Maeve believes in me, that’s fine with me."
"Do you really think Maeve trust you fully? It's only natural that she will have a little doubt about you after she finds out that you are the man I told her about before."
"I understand her. Especially, if someone urges her not to trust me completely."
"That's good. You will better understand my role while Maeve is away."
My forehead furrowed "What do you mean your role?"
She put down the lobster she's eating She licked her lips to clear the food "My role on you. Don't tell me Maeve did'nt mention it on you?"
"Your role on me? I don't know what your talking about."
"I want to protect my bestfriend. So while Maeve is away, I'll guard you 24/7 for you not be able to cheat and fool around."
"What?!"
"Maeve asked me to do this. I gues she just want you to be secured."
