"You are awesome up there." She compliments me when I get close to her table
I smiled "Thanks."
"And I like your new hairstyle." I touch my up to shoulder and in ombre hairstyle hair
We haven't seen each other for a month, so she didn't know that I had changed my hairstyle "And Im sure you would'nt want this kind of hairstyle."
Maeve was a sweet, modest, prim and proper type. I don’t know how we became friends because we were both very different. But as far as I know, we are easygoing with each other, we have a lot of trust, respect, and admiration for each other.
We accept our differences. And those differences further solidified Maeve and I’s friendship.
I am naturally protective of my friends. And Maeve is the type who needs to be protected. She was a little discouraged unlike me, who has a strong character. She often lean on me when she have problems
"Where have you been in a month?" I raised an eyebrow as I asked her
The guilt reflected on her face "Im sorry Ash. You know my job is very demanding. But I have good news."
"Come on, let's go to a spot that not too noisy."
We went up to the second floor of the bar and sat at the very end and corner table
"Shot."
She giggled "I have a new boyfriend." Excited she said
I smiled at what I heard. It's been more than a year since she last entered into a relationship. She was so hurt in her previous relationship that it took a while before she opened her heart to love again. "Really? So I haven't seen you in a month just because of that?" Apparently angry I said
"Sort of," Obviously guilty she says "Im sorry. Promise, I'll make it up to you."
I smiled at her to assure her that it was okay with me. I was happy for her.
As her face grew sadder, I held both of her hands "Hey, its really okay. As long as your happy, No case with me."
She smiled at me. I let go of her hand and called the bar server to delivered some beer to our table. "So, who's this lucky guy?"
"You're going to meet him soon."
"Well, that's good so I can test him properly."
Maeve laugh "Just don't scare him, okay?"
"What's his work?" I asked curiously
"He's an Architect."
"Cool! What does he look like?"
"Handsome, Moreno, 6'5 tall, well built body, and nice butt." She chuckled before continuing "Is'nt he perfect?"
I raised an eyebrow "Wait, those types are dangerous. You already know what I mean."
She sighed and sighed. The concern on her face reflects "True. When such types, the chicks really approach and even though they say they are loyal when the temptation comes, it is still dangerous."
I nodded "So you really have to test that man with me. You're still 4 weeks since you two became official. Maybe you're not that in love with each other yet."
"On the contrary, I immediately fell in love with him even though we had been together for 4 weeks. You can't blame me you know. He's sweet, gorgeous and gentleman. He's a good catch."
I twitched my lips and shook my head "I hope he’s not like Lance anymore."
"And Anthony." She added
Lance was Maeve's first boyfriend. Lance exchanged Maeve for another woman after 9 months of their relationship. Anthony was also Maeve's exboyfriend. They broke up 4months ago because Anthony allegedly went to another country for the fvcking hell reason that we don't know.

"So when your boyfriend is like Anthony and Lance now, I myself will bury him underground."
"Please don't, Ash. I hope he's already my Mr.right on top of my cupcake."
"Hope so" The server arrived and served my beer order. I drank the beer filled in the glass "But expect, I will really slaughter him like a pig if he cheats on you." I dropped the glass I was holding on the table that surprised Maeve
KAIDEN POV
"Is your friend coming?" I asked Maeve.
I don't want to reveal that I'm so bored here waiting for her best friend. She set up dinner at a restaurant for the three of us. She wanted to introduce me to her bestfriend.
She dialed again and put the cellphone to her ears. "Her phone is still out of reach. Im now worried!"
I tapped her gently on the shoulder "Hey stop worrying okay? Maybe her phone just run out of battery."
She turned again to the main entrance of the resturant. I moved the chair I was sitting in so I could sit next to her. I shouldered her and caressed her forearm.
"You really cared about your bestfriend."
"She's not my bestfriend. She's like a sister to me. I've told you before, right, She was very protective of me. She is my protector."
I then remembered Maeve's story to me about how they became friends with her bestfriend. She said, she was very idiotic in high school so she was bullied by her classmates. Her bestfriend is the one defending her. She said that her friend was brave and combative.
She said her friend was a bit naughty. Maeve said I don't have to worry. I will get used to her bestfriend. She said his friend was kind.
"Do you think your friend will like me for you?" I ask Maeve
"Of course. Just be sure because you messing up with my friend when you're fooling around." She laughed jokingly as if it had a streak of truth
I smiled "Is that why you want to introduce me to her so that I know that when I fool around, my bones will break?"
She laughed softly "You would'nt like to mess up with her."
"And if I mess up with you that means I mess up with her too?"
"Right." She response while still giggling
"Then I'll be pleased to meet her."
Even though Maeve and I's relationship are only 4 weeks. But I already feel that Maeve was my forever.
She's my ideal type, pretty, smart, and sweet. So I haven’t let her go since I met her at a hotel
"Is it okay if I go to the restroom?" I ask my girlfriend
"Yes."
I stood up to go to the restroom. I looked at the my wristwatch. Maeve's friend was thirty two minutes late. It seems that her besfriend is really naughty.
When I came out of the bathroom I saw a woman dressed like a rock star. But her ombre hairstyle is quite glamorous, suits her but the woman who did not seems to care about the proper dress code of the fine diner. Wearing a deep creased on his forehead. It looks like it's heading in the direction of Maeve's table
'Could it be her friend? The hell no way!'
I continued walking back to Maeve. I confirmed that she was indeed my girlfriend's friend when she stopped in front of the table we were sitting at. I stopped a few steps away from our table.
ASHLY POV
"What happen to you?" Maeve immediately asked me
I snores irritatedly "My trash car fvcked up. And so my phone. Damn it!" I'm really annoyed so I don't know even though my voice is loud
"Why? What happen to your car? And what? Your phone fvcked up?"
"That bullshit car! I was stuck in the middle of the road! And all those cars on my back keeps beeping at me like hell! Fvck them all!
"Calm down Ash. Here, take a seat. "
I sat down and drank the water from the goblet. "And you know what? My phone crashed on the ground like shit!"
"Im sorry to hear that, If I hadn't invited you here-"
I tried to smile "It was all just an incident. Don't blame yourself. Anyways sorry Im late, where's your boyfriend?"
Maeve turned around. After a while she smiled "There he is."
I looked at the walking man approaching us. I expected a smiling face but frowned and serious man looking at me. My forehead wrinkled
Maeve stand "Ash, he's my boyfriend Kaiden, Kaiden Bautista. And Kaiden, she's my bestfriend Ashly

"No, Maeve, I didn't cheat on Debb."
"Liar. Do you know after she dropped out I can't reach out Debb. I don’t know what happened to her maybe she already committed suicide"
