Chapter 9

He chuckled as he lowered his head toward me.
"I've got good hips too. Want to give them a try?"
I poked my finger into his firm abs, then giggled right next to his ear. "Too bad you finish so quickly."

"Kaylee…"
He was a little exasperated, but he was young and full of vigor after all, so his eyes were narrowed in determination.
"Just you wait! No amount of begging or crying will help you then!"
Andrew had invited a whole host of people for his birthday party, as per usual.
Sienna had spent extra time on her appearance for the party and was breathtakingly gorgeous.
When the two of them sat together, it made for a beautiful picture.

Sienna was in great spirits because all the other girls were giving her compliments.
When she turned to Andrew, however, she noticed he was slightly distracted.
"Andrew."
Sienna had to call out his name multiple times before he finally heard her. "What's wrong?"

"It's getting late, and everyone's hungry."
"Why the rush? Not everyone is here yet," he retorted.
"Who's missing?"
"Yeah. Who hasn't arrived yet?"
"Spencer's not here yet."
"Oh! Now I remember. Kaylee! Kaylee hasn't arrived either."
"Will she come?"
"It's Andrew's birthday. Kaylee wouldn't miss such an occasion."
Andrew suddenly interrupted everyone's chatter. "I didn't invite her. Even if she came, I wouldn't let her enter."
"Andrew, don't get worked up. Today's your birthday after all."
Sienna quickly consoled him. "Don't let some unimportant person ruin your big day, okay?"
"That's right!"
Andrew turned to look at his girlfriend beside him.
Sienna was truly beautiful.
He thought I was pretty too, but not in this loud, sexy kind of way.
That was why he fell for Sienna from the very first second.
The problem was that after he landed her, he realized there was nothing else special about her.
This past month, I hadn't been waiting for him at his dorm anymore. I didn't bug him to go to classes with me or get lunch with me either.
I just suddenly disappeared from his world.
Even if we accidentally ran into each other on campus, I would turn around to avoid him.
Andrew had to admit, it felt strange and he was not used to any of it.
That's right. He summed it all up to him just not being used to it.
He was not used to someone who used to revolve around him suddenly giving him the cold shoulder.
He did not like me, and he certainly would not invoke his parents' anger for a fake heiress.
Yet, we had known each other for so many years.
Andrew thought to himself that if I finally gave in and came looking for him tonight, he would spare me a space beside him. He wouldn't even need me to beg. He wanted me to just cry a few tears. Then, he would do me the favor.
The door to their private room was suddenly opened.
"Guess who I just saw!"
The guy who came in was excited to drop some hot tea, but his eyes suddenly met Andrew's.
"Who? Don't leave us hanging."
"That's right! Who is it? Can't be Kaylee, can it?"
"Yes, it was Kaylee!"
"Andrew, what did we say? Kaylee can't stay away from you."
"See! She can't hold herself back anymore. Especially not tonight."
Andrew did not say anything, but the cloudy expression he sported earlier had disappeared considerably.
Sienna's face, on the other hand, fell. She tugged lightly on Andrew's sleeve, then spoke up with a pout. "Andrew, can you ask Kaylee to leave? She was chasing after you for so long, and that bothers me a lot."
Andrew looked at Sienna and suddenly found her more pleasing to the eye than earlier.
His mood also unexplainably got much better.
My behavior this past month had angered him quite a lot, so even though he had decided to forgive me, he still wanted to dole out a punishment.
"Sure. She can scram," answered Andrew absent-mindedly while lightly squeezing Sienna's cheeks.
"Who are you asking to scram?"
The semi-closed door opened once again, and Spencer strode in.
His voice was not loud, but it had such a sense of authority it made an unignorable impact.
The room suddenly fell deathly quiet.
