Checking surveillance footage, I saw Ethan, that typhoon night, taking away our last two boxes of bottled water.
Even if my stomach hadn’t hurt, I still would have woken up to a windowless living room, no power, no water, and would be forced to go outfor supplies .
This is the husband who “loved” me? His heart was with her—why couldn’t he just be loyal?

I had had enough. Then, Sophie appeared on camera!
She came over!
She was holding hands with Ethan. Sophie cooed, “Ethan, your place is a wreck! Doesn’t Emily care? If I were her, I’d never let you worry over all these. She’s so inconsiderate!”
“I’ll call someone to fix this.”
Ethan sighed, “Yeah, thanks. I wish if Emily were half as thoughtful as you.”
"Don’t bother to thanks me. We’ve always been friends, it’s the least I could do fou you"

Sophie giggled, shaking his arm. Ethan’s eyes sparkled with fondness.
I raised an eyebrow, saying nothing, and confirmed with my lawyer to take the divorce to court. No more delays.
When Ethan got the subpoena, he raged, calling. I blocked him, saying sign or face court.
I sent him their photos.

Ethan panicked, begging to meet.
No choice, I set a time near my place.
When I arrived, I saw Sophie too. I laughed—divorce, and he brings her too?
I sat. Sophie spoke, “Emily, don’t misunderstand. I’m not stealing him. Ethan cares for you but is shy, so I’m here to explain.”
“He loves you. If we were meant to be, we’d have been together years ago. Why wait?”
She nudged Ethan, “Speak up, stupid!”
I stared at this most ridiculous scene: “Sorry.”
Seeing me apologize, Ethan softened, “Emily, you're always throwing a fit. I...”
I grabbed my glass, splashing water in his face!
“Sorry, I’ve had enough of all this. You’re nothing but shameless—first to flirt, first to fall!”
I turned to Sophie, slapping her hard!
“Whore! Calling someone’s husband at midnight? Can’t call 911? He shows up, and your colds cured?”
Ethan fumed, “Emily, you’re too violent!”
I slapped him again, “Yeah, violent! News to you? Typhoon night, no power, no water—those two boxes I bought myself as backup. Even with her cold, couldn you remember your wife on bed rest?”
“You took every last bottle! The window was gone, I miscarried, and couldn’t reach you!”
”You didn’t come home for a week! When I called, you were at home with this tramp, cuddling on camera. Think I’m dead?”
I unleashed my pain. Sophie cowered behind Ethan.
