The driver insisted on taking me to a hospital.
But George didn’t have time to wait.I swallowed my pride, crawling over to Ethan, bowing my head in desperation.
He hesitated, moving to help me,but Sophie yanked him back.“You're going to forgive her?Look how scared Buddy is.He won’t forgive you,you vicious woman!”

I ignored her taunts.
My voice, hoarse from crying or injury, weakened.“Please,Ethan,go to the hospital.Dad’s dying. If you go,I’ll do anything—divorce if you wish,I wish you and Sophie all the best, anything you want…”
Ethan stared,disbelieving.
I’d always firmly refuse when ever he mentioned divorce, but now I offered it freely.
Bystanders urged him,“Help her,man.She doesn’t sounds like she’s lying.”
“Go to the hospital. You’ll find out if it’s true.”

The driver added,“Kid,it's not a big deal.Just go and check.”
Ethan hesitated, pulling me up,ready to go.
But Sophie ran over, wailing,“Ethan,Buddy ran away again! That crazy woman scared him. He’s so little—how could she do this?I’m so scared. You can’t leave us!”
Ethan shook off my hands, chasing after Sophie and their dog.

I collapsed,the world spinning,muttering,“George,I couldn’t find anyone with AB-negative blood.”
I sobbed,hugging my head.
A voice broke through,“Miss, you need someone with AB-negative blood to save someone?”
I looked up—it was the driver.I nodded frantically.
He scratched his head, shyly saying,“Well,I’m AB-negative.Let’s go and save your dad.”
