Daniel, incredulous, his eyes wide with disbelief, gripped Fiona’s hand.
“You…a rich, beautiful woman, built the company with someone as insignificant as him?”
“How?You’re supposed to be wealthy,elite…”

Fiona’s face twisted in embarrassment, unable to shake him off.
Nearby,Daniel’s son,face dark with reluctance,muttered:
“…It was really my brother…”
“It was really my brother.”
“Then,provoking him,the company,our salaries…”
His cousin,on the sidelines, stared at Fiona.

Suddenly,he reacted.
Taking a deep breath,he stepped forward,slapping Fiona hard,cursing.
“You filthy slut, can’t control your urges!”
“My brother’s good-looking,capable—he’s more than enough for you!”

“And you,while he’s sick,go cheating!”
“You’re worse than an animal,a beast!Apologize to my brother!”
He slapped her twice more, swelling her face.
The group around Fiona and Daniel froze in shock.
But Daniel’s son snapped out of his reluctance.
Dropping his reluctance,he grabbed Fiona’s collar, slamming her against the wall.
“…Yeah,my cousin’s right!You’re trash,unworthy of my brother!”
“You dared hurt him—I’ll make you pay!”
Cursing,he punched her face.
Fiona’s injuries from my beating hadn’t healed.
Three slaps, one punch—her face reddened instantly.
The freshly fixed front tooth wobbled again.
She screamed,eyes red.
“Are you all insane?I never said I was some rich heiress—why attack me…”
Before she could finish, Daniel, who was the most resistant to accepting the truth, reacted.
He yanked at Fiona’s hair, pulling it roughly.
“…Not insane. We’re here to get justice for my son!”
“Hurt my son,I’ll kill you!”

I stopped watching the video there.
A friend,a former client, had gone to Fiona to cut ties and witnessed it,sending me the footage.
After the video,he had questions.
“…These are really your family?”
“No offense,but they’re disgusting!”
No offense taken—he was right.
Even now,I felt sick.
When there’s profit, they abandon all principles, switching sides at the first sign of profit.
Disgusting!
The next time I saw Fiona and Daniel’s six-person clan was outside the courthouse.
The divorce cooling-off period ended—it was time to finalize.
Unlike past encounters, they all lowered their guards.
Daniel was the first to approach.
Ignoring my cold stare,he grabbed my arm.
“Son,I’m…sorry. It was my fault,I was clueless.”
“You know, with today’s culture, back in my day,if you married into money, you didn’t need to try.”
“I grew up in that era,fed that mindset,so I ended up like them…”
“But I was better!Remember when you excelled in school, and I always praised you?”
“I’ve been good,and I know I was wrong,truly!”
“I took your brother and cousin to seek justice on your behalf!”
