Fiona roared.
“I won’t let you have the upper hand!If I go down,I’m taking you with me!”
I smiled.

“Fine,if that's what you want, let's go down together!”
“The company succeeded, and I haven’t had one good day—just pills and hospital beds.”
“I’ve got absolutely nothing to lose at this point.”
“The orders are gone, and the payments haven’t hit the company’s account yet, right?”
“My friends and contacts, hold those funds.”
“Divorce, and I’ll let them pay on time. You can scramble for new orders, maybe survive.”

“No divorce,we'll go down together. I'll make them stall things, cut off the cash flow, and leave you in the dust…”
Before I could finished,Fiona’s shoulders slumped in defeat.
She looked at me, her eyes filled with fear.
She backed up,trembling.

“…You’re mad…you’re really mad…why are you so ruthless…”
I stared into her eyes,unmoved.
“Divorce or not?”
“Live,or die together?”
“Speak!”
Fiona flinched,nodding frantically.
“Divorce,divorce,now!I’ll do whatever you say!”
Smart move, knowing when to back down.
“Go prepare the papers.”
“Oh,and disclose all the assets you’ve been hiding.”
“Be thorough. Don't let me find out you're hiding anything else!”
Over the past two weeks, I wasn't just focused on chasing clients.
I investigated my“opponents.”
Fiona’s odd behavior—constantly cheating but not rushing to divorce when caught - raised suspicions.
I dug.
She’d been secretly transferring assets behind my back.
I caught her cheating before she could move everything.
For money, she played the devoted wife, claiming she couldn’t let me go.
For money, she manipulated my so-called family.
Too bad.
I don’t hold back my anger.
Too bad.
Her schemes didn’t fool someone who was on the lookout for them.
Fiona couldn’t meet my eyes, her gaze darting.
Finally,head bowed,she muttered,“Got it,”and left.
I filed for divorce from Fiona.
But during the cooling-off period, she didn’t give up.
She chased orders herself and rallied my“family.”
For over two weeks,Daniel’s family bombarded me with insults and threats via messages, then showed up.
They screamed in my face.
“Sabotaging the company,Evan White, you’ve got some nerve!”
“Bring those orders back now!”
“If you get your brother and cousin fired,I won’t let you off!”
Same old story, same old tactics, all on a sinking ship together.
I had no patience for them and turned to shut the door.
But Daniel’s son grabbed it,glaring.
“Cutting someone’s income is like killing their parents!”
“You’ve already defied us,messed things up once!”
“I’m warning you—I’ve got a mortgage, planning to marry my girlfriend!”
“Fiona gave me a raise. After the loan,I’ve got more than my old salary!”
“The company,my job,is my life!Mess with it,and I won’t hold back!”
Behind him,his cousin glared.
“Same here.I…”
I cut in with a cold laugh, unable to hold back.
