Vale huffed again before replying.

"I don't understand, Dylan. Why should I go to his family dinner when I have no relations with him? What would their family think? Do you think it's wise to appear in front of his other gang members? What if this raise suspicions?"

She bit her lip. It's her habit when she becomes frustrated. She had been questioning herself with this all the time.

Dylan is silent for a while before he answered, "Why don't you ask him yourself? He must have a reason for this."

'Good grief. Dylan, you're not helping at all.'

Vale chuckled bitterly, "I don't think so. I forgot Keith does things for no reason."

The memory of her getting blackmailed for no reason had her gripping the root of her hair frustratedly.

"Listen, Vale. Even if it seems like he wanted to show that he has no reasons at all, he actually has it. Everything was done for a reason. Although, only him know why he blackmailed you all of a sudden. We're his best friends, and he never tells us why he did that to you. He doesn't do something for a reason? Think again. If he had no reason at all, why did we become the most feared gang in these centuries?"

Vale bit the inside of her cheeks, holding her tears inside.

'I got a punch for that, Dylan.' she replied mentally.

"Don't stress yourself out, Vale. Remember, I'm here for you if something goes wrong. Don't keep things to yourself. You can count on me."

Vale nodded. She inhales and mentally scolded herself.

'I'm not a whiny girl. I'm not a cry-'

"I know that's not the only reason you're angry." he cut off her thoughts.

She let out an annoyed tone from her mouth. Dylan always knows what is happening inside her head.

Vale told him how Keith leaned on her door and how he fell on the floor with her.

Dylan burst out laughing, making her glare at him.

She wasn't telling anything funny. Falling hurts like a bitch.

'Stupid Keith!' she mentally screams.

Dylan laughs more and almost bumped into another car earning them a few car honks. She realized that she had screamed loudly.

After a while, they arrived at a large mansion.

Did she mention huge?

There's a guard at the house, and some is walking and patrolling the house. The patio was beautifully decorated with flowers.

There's also a parking lot.

'Seriously? Should I build one for my mansion?'

Dylan parked his car near the others. Before she could exit the car, he grabbed her wrist. Vale turned her head to him with a confused look.

"What's wrong, Dylan?" she asked.

"I wish I could have spent more time with my sister." his voice strained while looking at her.

Vale knew that his sister was murdered by his abusive father and his mother commit suicide after that.

Dylan was heartbroken at the news, and he kills his abusive father using the gun he was rewarded with after joining Keith's gang.

He was only fifteen when he becomes a broken child. But, Keith family had accepted him into the family as she had heard.

"The minute I got to know you, I know that you'll be a great brother for me. You always comforted me when I miss my family. You're always there when I need a shoulder to lean on. So, don't hesitate to treat me as your own biological sister. I've always seen you as my brother."

"Thank you, Vale." he grinned triumphantly.

Vale grinned back before stepping out of the car. She closed the door behind her and we walk to where the rest were waiting for them.

"Seriously, why are both of you so slow?" Keith grunted as he glared at her.

Dylan and Vale shrugged.

Keith walked towards the entrance with the rest following close behind.

"Look's who's here!"

A beautiful woman came to them, smiling from ear to ear wearing an elegant grey dress.

Beside her was the complete epitome of Keith. The only difference is the slightly white hair on his head.

"Hey Mom, Dad," Keith hugged his mother as well as his father.

The rest do the same, and gladly she was the last one.

Note the sarcasm.

Her palm began to sweat as she bit her lip nervously. Finally, Keith's parent's noticed her as she tries to hide her nervousness behind a smile.

"Uhm..h-hi..." she offered a handshake but instead she was pulled into a hug by both of them.

Her heart almost jumps out from the shock she was feeling right now.

'What the hell? This badass mommy and gangster daddy is actually hugging me!'

"Umm... I was wondering if any of you is dating her or is she one of your friend, Keith?" Keith's mom asked as she paled.

'This is it... I'm gonna be kick-'

"Ma, this is my girlfriend. Valentina Rodriguez. Sweetheart, this is my mother, Samantha Klugman and my father, Eric Grey." Keith stood beside her as his hand sneakily found its place on her waist.

To say that she was shocked was an understatement. She wasn't expecting Keith to be so blunt to his mother and father.

The thought of him not even asking her if it was okay for him to call her his girlfriend immediately made her furious.

If he dragged her along to lie to his parents, she was so gonna kick him in the balls.

Vale looked down to hide her shock and rise her head after calming down a bit.

His mother eyed Vale from head to toe making her squirm and felt self-conscious.

After a very awkward silence, Samantha's smile grew wide.

"Perfect!" she complimented.

"What?" all of them shouted.

Vale was confused as hell.

'What's wrong?'

"She's perfect for my son," she said again.

"Honey, are you sick?" Keith's father asked as he put his hand on his wife's forehead.

Keith's mom swatted his hand and grinned.

"I'm 100% healthy. Positive." Samantha's eyes glimmered in delight.

"Uhm...Mom, did you eat a lot of sugar today?" Keith asked.

The other was still shocked, and she didn't know why.

"No. So, Keith, have you proposed to her?"

Vale was appalled at her question as Keith groaned.

"Propose to who?"

A woman's voice asked from the inside.
