Chapter 28 Family Dinner

Meaning, tonight is Keith's family dinner. His mother planned this whole thing once in two months.
'I don't feel excited at all.'
That's because his mother would try to introduce him to different girls every time. However, he's not interested in dating or marrying any of them.
Except for a one night stand.
His mother always complained about him beginning to get old and haven't given her any grandchildren.
Thank God, his father was opposed to the idea, saying that the time would come for Keith to settle down.
When he turned eighteen, he had taken over the gang that his father had been leading for more than 30 years.
Today, he's planning on bringing Vale to his family dinner.
His feelings for her keep growing these past weeks.
Maybe, if he brought her together with him, his mother would stop bringing a woman on her own choice to this family dinner.
Keith doesn't know if Vale would be ready to face everything since no one from the gang noticed her existence. Except for the people that he trusts.
He doesn't want to reveal her to anyone.
But, since no one knows who is the hidden killer, maybe he should bring her to some of his mission sometimes and introduce her as a new recruit. But, she'll still be doing her job as an assassin.
He knew the guard would see her coming in and out of the house. But, they suspected that she was doing her one-night stand job with him.
The thought of it makes his mouth curl up into a smirk. If only Vale knew, she'd be enraged.
Thus, why the guards would call her madam as in Lady Boss.
She always comes here at night, so she won't be known by other gangs. He was aware of the night eyes, but no one can reach their perimeter that easily. Not without triggering the siren planted two feet on the ground.
Speaking of this, his men haven't found the gangs that attacked Vale. It was pissing the hell out of him.
They, Black Rose gang, never fail to track any gangs down. Ever. He wouldn't want this to be the first.
They had tracked their base only to found nothing and no one at all. As if, all of them had vanished from the earth.
The probability of them changing town or flying to another city is high as well.
She's in danger. I can say that.
Knowing that the Venomous Gang is full of trick, they might use this information to cooperate with another gang.
Sending her away is not an option. Considering how the other gang must've known her.
Maybe, the only option is to keep her as close to the gang as possible.
His members knew what is the consequences if they try to betray him. He will not hesitate to kill them and their entire family.
Vale has been lying to her family and friends. He knows it's killing her. Maybe, that's why-
"Earth to Keith!"
Keith jumps up from the couch in fright when Vale shouted at her ear. She grinned from ear to ear when he glared at her.
"Are you thinking about me?" she asked.
Keith's eyes widened for a second before he quickly averted his gaze on the floor.
"You wish." he scoffed.
She scowls at his response.
"Look, I have a family dinner today-"
"That's good." she frowns a bit before masking it.
"-and I'm bringing you with me."
She turns to him with wide eyes, "W-what?"
"I'm bringing you to my family dinner," Keith repeated.
"But-" he cut her off.
"You're going, and that's final." he turned his face away from her knowing just looking at her could make him change his decision.
She went silent for a moment, "How many people are going to be there?"
He raised an eyebrow, surprised that she's not throwing a fit.
"My father, my mother, my younger brother and younger sister...and the guys will come too."
"They're going?" her eyes lit up at the mention of the guys.
"Yeah. We're best friends. So, why not?"
"Uhm...Okay, then..." she stood up and walks away from him.
"Where are you going?" he asked her.
"Training," she answered.
Keith turned his attention back on the TV.
'Is she mad?'
