'I would like it if we meet tomorrow, I have something important to discuss with you," he told her and she scoffed.
‘Something that is so important that it can't be discussed over the phone?" She asked sarcastically and she could hear the man exhale, or maybe it was an approving hum, she couldn't tell.
The only good thing about him was his unfiltered honesty, he is the type to tell you that you are ugly and he hates you straight to your face, the first time you meet, he would also give it to you if you sucks, he would make you sound so stupid.
And of course, it is this unfiltered honesty that made her realize that her in-laws, including the old man, preferred Melissa over her, he wasn't shy about calling her daft when he said it straight to his face.

She glanced at Alexander who was arranging the plates to their respective position, he didn't look surprised about the fact that the Grays want to pass the ownership of the company over to her, it was like he expected it and was more amused at the response she is giving the man.
'Okay, you know that you have to come, you are a busy woman or maybe you are not but just don't want to see me.
But a fact remains, I am a very busy man and I don't like people wasting my time, so tell me where you want us to meet so that I can pass over the ownership of the contract to you, alongside my grandson.
Or I would leave the paper at a random place with my son's signature, name and a blank form for anyone sees the contract to fill and sign,"
'You talk as if this damn company is worth anything, but I won't be wicked to the employees who I promised would keep their job after all this show goes down. I would also really love to see the look on your pathetic grandson's face after I sign the contract," She told him, a smirk on her lips as she already imagined the man's face.
'So I am going to send you the address and time. See you tomorrow morning." She added and disconnected the call, there was a probability that they both did that at the same time.
She turned to Alexander who was still finding some things to arrange in the cabinet.
'I didn't have any idea that my super rich husband knows how to do chores," She teased and he scoffed.
'I am not one of those spoiled jerks that came from a wealthy generation and drank throughout college, you know. Your man is a worthy man." He told her and she scoffed at his cockiness.
'You are too cocky," she told him, rolling her eyes at his antics.
'Hardly, I am just telling the obvious truth, even though my dear wife is ignoring that right now," he told her, wiping his hand on the towel.
'Were you the one that told the Grays to do that?" She asked and he shook his head.
'I am not involved this time, your in-law thought that it would be fun to reward his strong in-law so he sent a message to the Gray Mansion while sipping on his tea and staring out through the window, and here is the result,"
'Your grandfather did that?" She was truly surprised that the patriarch of the Aldine family did that, she didn't expect him to go out of his way for that.
'I should find a day to thank him, he is the best in-law one could ever have, he still likes me despite all these news flying around," she said with a smile.
'He doesn't like you Sapphire," he told her and she turned to look at him. 'He loves you, you and your kids, said that you remind him of grandmother," he continued and she giggled.
'Then I would love to meet your grandmother."
'We would go to where she is buried when you have time, grandfather chose a special place for her to rest eternally. She actually loves the place a lot."
'That is so sweet," she said with a smile and Alexander nodded.
'So about our previous discussion, when are we getting married?" He asked. 'I know that you said that we have a lot of years ahead of us but I want it to be with a matching ring that we exchange as a promise of love on our fingers."
'Wow, look at this man, he didn't even finish the boyfriend stage, not the fiancé's but he already made me bonded to him for the rest of my life," she told him and he scoffed in disbelief.
'What are you trying to say right now?"
'Take me on date first, treat me to a nice meal in a five-star restaurant, another meal in an average but good one, go to the amusement park with me, let's go to the cinema, watch the sky by the sea...no wait we did that, it is not valid but I guess that we can redo it, watch the sunset, take a walk, hit the gym and exercise together.
There are a lot of things you are trying to cheat," she listed and he started chuckling before he started laughing, even though she didn't know what made him laugh like that, she still laughed with him.
His smile is contagious and he looks more down to earth and because you laugh with your loved ones.
'Why are you laughing?"
'Because you look so excited by the prospect of me taking you to that place," he told her and she scoffed, the smile falling from her lips.
He had been laughing at her and she had joined him to laugh at herself.
'Jerk!" She told him, walking away angrily.
He trailed after her and swept her up in a bridal pose which made her glare at him.
'You know where I can take you quicker than that place?" He asked and she chuckled.
'Our room," They both said at the same time which made them chuckle.
