She had dropped the kids off with Luci and came to pick up her brother, the kids were excited by the fact they had an uncle who was good to their mother.
She exhaled and rested her back on the bars while the bodyguard stayed on guard, staring to and fro.
She slumped on the chair, the day was so tiring, from bitchy girl to jerk face assholes, a father in law that knows way too much about her and sister who would be planning her downfall right now, she feels like that burden of the whole world is on her shoulder.
"There he is," the guard on her right said and she immediately snapped her head towards the direction, that brown hair is one of the things she just couldn't forget before she knew it.
She was already hugging him so tightly, he didn't complain and hugged her back just as tight.
Yeah, yes, definitely this is him, this is her brother, it almost feels like a dream, being able to touch him after not seeing for a very long while.
"I missed you so much, Saph," He said her nickname and tears welled up in her eyes.
"I missed you too, Ruby, so much more," she tightened her hold. "I am sorry I couldn't save you sooner Ruby, I am so sorry," she said, her voice cracking under the weight of the emotions in her.
He pushed her back to stare at her in the eyes, he smiled when he saw her face.
"There's absolutely no way you could have done it sooner than this, this is as soon as it can get. Thanks Saph," He said, tracing the flesh on her cheeks with his thumb while the identical blue eyes stared into each other.
They sat at the bench later and stared at the moving crowd.
"I almost resented you for not coming to take me but thankfully I didn't when I learned what that son of a bitch did," he said, wringing his hands with a solemn expression, Sapphire held his hand and patted it softly.
"You deserve to resent me, I got your hopes up, every time we talked, I swear that you are coming out and we both counted as the days passed," she blinked. "I imagined how shocked and betrayed you would have felt after seconds turned to minute, minutes turned to days, days turned to month, and months to year," she stared at their intertwined hands. "I deserve to be resented, Ruby,"
"No, you don't, you got so much on your plate and there's no way you would have been able to get me out without Oliver at that time and Alexander this time," he smiled sadly. "If anything I deserve to be resented, you should not sacrifice your marital life just because of me, you just gave you a role that you can't get out of for the rest of your life."
"I would do it all over again just for you, besides I may not get married again if it is up to me. It is like some kind of favor. I get to marry this extremely rich hot guy and he doesn't even have a choice than to marry me whether he likes it or not,"
'But you don't love him and he doesn't love you, you would lead a loveless life and divert the attention and love you are supposed to have for your husband to your children, this future is bleak."
'We would compromise, I met this guy once and he seems like a very cool guy, we would just agree not to be in each other's hair,"
'That's the point, after what Oliver did, you are supposed to find a person that loves you and flaunt it in his face,"
'Finding someone who has a lot of money than him would irk him quicker and what is Alexander if not that? You should stop worrying, okay?"
"Hmm," he nodded, reluctantly.
"I'll see you later, I have something to catch up with real quick, go before me," she patted his back and stood up, he nodded smiling as he watched her walk away.
"Thank you," he whispered.

Luci stared at the sleeping kids and smiled before she turned off the light and closed the door.
She walked to the kitchen where Sapphire was sitting on one of the stools and sipping coffee, Luci stared at her for a while with a proud smile on her face. She grew so much and looked more beautiful than the lady she met a year ago.
Sapphire is beautiful, no denying that, she almost felt sorry for the guy that dumped her.
Just sitting there and sipping coffee showed her elegance. She looks like a model that was just getting ready for a set. Her figure, her posture, her expression, everything exudes gracefulness.
Sometimes even Luci feels like she is in the presence of a queen, she was merely a princess years ago and all those Villians around her almost crush her self esteem, it is good she knew not to drink poison because of thirst.
Sapphire turned and smiled when she saw her standing at the door.
"Putting them to sleep must be quite the task,"
"Of course, they were satisfied with the room, the bed and the design but claimed that the carpet was not to their standard," Luci grumbled walking to the stool beside the far end of the table and brought it to where she sat.
Sapphire gave her the coffee she prepared for her and she muttered her thanks.
"Trust them to find fault in everything," Sapphire chuckled.
"And who did they got that from, they are their mother's children at the end of the day I guess,"
"Was I that bad when you first knew me?"
"Bad my foot, you were the worst, I was so angry when I made that french fries one time and you told me it was the worst you ever had," they both laughed at the memory.
"Even Fiona was shocked, like, many people used to say it was the best they ever had and you just up and said 'oh my God, how are you guys able to stomach this piece of shit, this had to be to be the most terrible thing I have ever had' and that when people were swooning over it,"
"I guess I was a brat at that time, you tend to be like that when almost everything you have ever ate was imported or was made by some highest class chef, at that time some five star restaurants don't even make it in the list,"
"Fiona was the one that had to calm me down, we had a tough job breaking through those high walls you made all around yourself,"
"I guess it was like that at that time,"
"It's a good thing that you don't have to be like that anymore, you have me, Fiona, Ruby, maybe Maxwell and Martins and of course the kids to relax on for now,"
"For now?, Are you going somewhere?"
Sapphire said tilting her head to the side, her black hair covering her eye a little bit as she grinded her heel softly on the carpet.
A sign that she was putting it in probability and was getting nervous about it.
It was done so casually that one wouldn't have put any thought into the action, but Luci liked to believe that she knew the woman.
"Of course not my sweet, you are getting married, you are a pleasant person," Luci took her hand and patted it, the emotional pain done on the woman was yet to heal, it may never leave but she is sure that it will fade with time.
"Surely you would find someone from your husband's family on your side, more of us," she said and Sapphire nodded. "So about the kids, are they going to continue using the nose mask, I get that they were models and were pretty popular back then but I feel that since it's new country they don't need it as much,"
"I think it's best we leave that decision for them to make, we wouldn't be the one crowded when people recognize them," Sapphire stood up and washed the cup, she walked to the door with Luci following her. "When is Fiona coming over, we should meet over here when she decides," Luci nodded and Sapphire wore her shoes, she bent down to tie her laces. "I'm meeting with Alexander tomorrow, at breakfast, our families arranged a date for us, I am pretty nervous though, the man seem to know me in and out, so I got to go,"
"I am still happy that you aren't getting married to some old geezer, Alexander is a very hot man if you ask me,"
"Nobody asked you," she stood up and dusted her hands.
'What are you going to do to those traitors when you see them? Are you sure that you can put up with them,"
'I am also wondering about that, I am going to deal with those ones at home but since I do not know what kind of place and situation I would meet them, then I would keep observing the lot," Sapphire said, before her lips adjusted itself to form a wicked smirk.
She turned her back to Luci.
'But I will hound them, they have always wanted a crazy first child at the Conrads." She dusted her hand and turned back to Luci.
Her eyes shone and you could almost touch her thirst for revenge.
The thought running wildly in her mind could almost be heard if you listened enough.
'Luci, they are going to get an Out-and-Out nutcase," She said, venomously with a scornful laugh.
'And Alexander?"
'He needs to be dissected, I will observe him at breakfast tomorrow," Sapphire replied, her expression returning to the neutral look she always had. 'Doesn't matter if he is a friend or foe. He is switching sides if he is useful." She explained and Luci nodded.
'Now go to bed and don't stay up till late at night,"
"Whatever," Luci pouted. "Don't forget the dinner you promised the kids,"
"Yeah, you too, go to sleep and don't start reading those romance fantasies that can't happen in a thousand years,"
"You used to believe in it too, sometimes ago," she pouts and Sapphire glared at her, "alright, alright, I will just dream of it happening between you and Xander and I am an adult you know, I am twenty three years old,"
"You are utterly impossible, just kiss the kids for me, bye," she said and closed the door.
