Chapter 192

He looks like he was very well knowledgable at what he was spouting about, his face straight without a pint of doubt as if he experienced it himself- being involved in gods that is.
My eyebrows raised. "You look like you know alot about them."
"I had no choice, they kept trying to manipulate me, of course i'll have to fight back at some point." After he said that, he started to walk towards me.
He grabbed my hand and i gave him a confused look.
"What are you doing?" I tried yanking my hand back but he just tightened his hold instead.
"Don't be stubborn, aimlessly looking for clues is not worth it. That god will eventually appear before us, so let's just do our best to survive here for now okay?" He says, his eyes telling me to agree with him.
Honestly, i do agree with what he said. Even though i know some stuff about this place, it was simply just useless to find anything when in the first place, it was one of the gods who trapped us here.
We won't leave so easily.
"Damn it." I closed my eyes, "Why are you so calm about this? do you know what Charles might do to your pack? Even the remaining bluestone werewolves are in his hands!"
"So that's where they fled off to huh? Is that why you chose that bastard?" He said with an annoyed face.
i can't believe what I'm hearing right now.
All the frustrations and stress seemed to finally dawn on me. I gave out a breath of disbelief before i stared back at him. I admit that i have no right to disagree with him since in the first place, i planned to make it that way.
But hearing it in person really ticks me off!
I didn't bother listening to him any further before storming off once again. My feet leading me somewhere else where he isn't. Expectedly, he ran after me.
"This again? Why can't we just talk things out? why do you have to always run away like this."
"I don't want to talk to you." I continued walking.
"Listen to me!" He grabs my hand, making me turn towards his annoying face. "Look i don't intend to fight, i just want to talk things through."
I slapped his hand away. "Talk things through? is that why you insulted me just now?"
"Insulted you? love, i never meant it like that! I just wanted to hear the truth from you!" He argues.
"Stop calling me love!"
I covered my ears to prevent hearing him, unfortunately, because of my superb hearing abilities, i could still hear him if he whispers in the lowest voice he can make. I cursed under my breath after he kept bothering me to talk to him.
I ignored him for the whole walk before we finally stumbled upon somewhere familiar.
My jaw drops.
This is where Gina and Yasha spent their years together. In a small cave just beside a lake, just like in that memory. It's like everything was back to normal to that time.
I frowned, just what is the moon goddess trying to do now?
"This place looks good," Zyrus enters. "We should stay here for now."
"We?" I raised an eyebrow.
It's true that it's the only place i could think of to stay at. But isn't he being too comfortable after arguing me with a while ago? This guy is just too dense that i sometimes forget how should i react.
I sighed.
Looks like i really have to just do what he said.
"Why? you think I'm gonna let you stay somewhere without me?"
"No, how can i stop the great alpha king?" I said sarcastically.
When i laid my eyes around the cave once again, i felt a strange feeling of uneasiness within me. There were still some things left by those two in the cave. The whole cave was like a miniature house with little furniture in it. Even i kept recalling the times' Gina and Yasha spent time together just by staying here.
I strode across the cave, opening the shelf from my memories. Zyrus comes up beside me and we both looked confused at the object inside.
"What is that?" He asks.
I picked up the stone that was lighting up with purplish color. It was radiating some kind of unknown energy that i had to ask Zyrus. "Do you know this mana?"
He shook his head. "No."
"I also don't know what it is, i never saw this thing in Gina's memories. So what the hell is this?" I mumbled, rolling the stone over to find something. Even after flipping it thoroughly and even tasting it, i couldn't guess what it was.
"Put that thing back, we still don't know who owns this place." He warns me.
I chuckled. "Oh don't worry, the two owners are both here with us."
He looks at me with a confused face. "What?"
I rolled my eyes and just proceeded to put the thing back to the shelf. Once i closed it, i turned to Zyrus once again who was still confused to what i said before.
Look how much he's trying to understand me, how cute.
"I'll agree to stay here with you." I crossed my arms as if i was striking a deal with him.
Upon hearing what i said, his mouth curls into anticipation. "Really?"
He looks so innocent that i couldn't help but laugh at how he looked. But i reminded myself that i shouldn't be swayed so easily. I coughed, "But i have one condition."
He instantly pouts. "What now?"
"You." I said while i softly placed my hand on his broad shoulder. "You are not to touch me while we stay here."
His eyebrow furrowed in displease. I thought he was just frustrated that i won't let him have sex with me in the meantime but it was different from what i imagined. He said. "What do you take me for? Your body is not in a condition for things like that, i'm not some mindless beast you know."
He turns away from me and sat on the bed, his eyebrow still furrowed.
"Oh," I said shocked, i did not expect that.
He looks hurt by what i said but can he blame me? Even i'm sure that werewolves love mating with their mates in each time they can. We're alone in this place, so there's no way he won't think of anything dirty.
What's more, i still can't trust him yet.
Not when he just tried killing every bluestone without me noticing. I'm scared of the curse, i don't know if i'll be able to recognize Zyrus once the curse about my death starts. Even now, the Moon goddess brought us here. It even made me anxious since the curse was so close to happening.
I shook my head, no what if it's already happening? I didn't respond to him and just went ahead to look for useful things in the cave. I looked upwards and noticed a high shelf above me, i tried reaching it but my height won't let me to.
Until i saw an arm appearing from my field of vision.
It was Zyrus.
He opens the shelves for me, "There's nothing here, what did you want to get anyway?"
"N-Nothing."
I was about to walk away if he didn't stop me. He blocks my path by trapping me between his arms, "I told you to stop avoiding me, are you still angry? I'm sorry okay? There are some times where I can't help by feeling frustrated but it doesn't mean I'm angry at you."
I didn't respond, he was too close that i was starting to get conscious.
"Hey, talk to me."
I bit my bottom lip, turning my gaze away from him.
"Hey." He places his thumb on my bitten lip. "I told you to lean on me right? Tell me all your problems, i'll solve it with you. Even if you just need someone to talk to, I'm here so don't keep it all to yourself."
My heart throbbed crazily. It was not because of feeling giddy but the warmth that he was giving me right now was priceless. He softly bumps his forehead to mine, placing both of his palms on my cheek.
"It hurts me to see you like this. It makes me think I failed in protecting you." He lowers his head, burying his face into my chest as a child would. I missed the feeling of being with him so much that I almost wrapped my hands around him, but as soon as I remembered what awaits us.
I became scared once again.
"Damn it, if i just didn't lose my memories of you at that time when we were young, I wouldn't have let you experience all of those hardships alone." He said in a low voice.
My voice was shaking. "Stop acting like this. Just because you're sorry, doesn't mean I am too."
I really don't deserve him.
I don't want to cause more trouble more than I already have.
He raised his head, a pint of despair plastered on his face before he said. "I don't need your apology, I just need you to accept me!"
