I snarled at him. {"What do you want? I'm sure you didn't enter my subconsciousness just because you miss me?"}
{"Right,"} He nods. {"Although I do miss you, I doubt you believe me anyway. Even if I wanted to see you, do you think I'll be able to?"}
I gave out a blank expression, not a bit concerned about what he was trying to say.
Upon seeing my reaction, he smirks. {"Aren't you a bit curious?"}
{"Why would I? I don't have time to wonder about useless things."} I shot back.
That's right, I don't have time to talk to this useless brother of mine. I still have to meet the pureblood families to commence the initiation order for tomorrow's attack in CenterCity.
Seeing that I decided that I had no further business with him, I tried to wake myself up. But to my dismay, the area around my empty heart throbbed aggressively, making me lose my balance.
I held it with a puzzled look.

{"I don't know what you and that devil agreed upon. But the only reason you're seeing me right now must be because he lifted one of your body's barrier to be able to see me."} He stood up and walked in front of me.
My eyes opened in shock, father.. did what?
{"Before i almost died, that devil sustained what remained of my soul. That's how you were able to devour me brother, it's because he still wants me to take part in something I don't know of. So before i tell you what he said, care to tell me why you devoured me?"}
I glared at him. {"You don't have the authority to bargain with me."}
{"Then you don't want to know what he said to me?"} He smiled.
This brother of mine become bolder after losing his body, what's making him so confident in confronting me? He was acting suspiciously that I can only think of one thing.
It must be because I can't even hurt him right now.
What is father thinking?
I frowned, {"Fine I'll tell you, I won't lose anything anyway."}
{"That's right, brothers should always have each other's back."} He places his arms around my neck and i just pushed him back. {"Still a snob heh."}
Annoying.
{"You want to know why I devoured you? It's because father needs your soul to complete the devil's vessel resurrection. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't care less if you turned into dust."}
I continued to glare at him.
He fakely whimpers, {"Aw you hurt me brother, but why is it that you're looking at me with more intensity than before? Where's this hatred coming from?"}
What a hypocrite, even after knowing I devoured him, how dare he ask me why I'm angry at him?
He damn knows well why.
{"Where's this coming from? ask yourself. Do you know what happened when i devoured you? you possessed my body for a while and went on a stupid rampage!"} I scoffed.
He smirks, {"That's all? isn't that too trivial?"}
I gripped my fists in anger. {"You.. I saw all your memories."}
His eyes widened but not long before he started laughing once again, his voice echoing around the empty halls of the room. He wipes his tear, {"And? what did you find? How did you feel seeing your brother develop some feelings for her?"}
{"HERUS!"}
I was so angry.
If only I could hurt him this time but if I do, father might punish me for it. Of course, it's not that I'm scared at the devil but knowing that he could also do something to Christal scared me.
{"Okay okay, I won't tease you anymore. I'll tell you what the devil told me."} He said before coming back to his seat.
He crosses his feet, and gives out an expression of anger, looking down he says. {"The devil wants you to hand Christal to Hell, will you do that?}
I flinched.
What? Isn't it too soon?!
{"What the hell did you ask for the devil to ask for her? have you gone mad?"} He hissed.
My hand trembled in anxiousness. {"The devil.. did he say something else?"}
{"He's angry Charles, he told me you're not doing your end of the bargain. But he won't touch you yet he said. He'll wait for you."}
I cursed under my breath, running my fingers through my scalp, I couldn't help but continuously worry about why my father wants to hurry up the deal we made since we agreed that I could take my time in the first place.
What's making him change his mind now?!
{"Not doing my end of a bargain? just wha-"} My eyes widened when I realized it.
The Devil...
Did the Devil know I did the ritual with her? No.. that's impossible, right? Even if he's powerful, he wasn't supposed to meddle in the world of creations.
{"Just how.. how the hell did he know?"} I mumbled to myself.
{"You should be more careful. I don't know what you've been doing since i still have restrictions all over me. It's not like I'm telling you to do something, but you should really stop listening to that freaky devil, nothing would come out from obeying him."}
{"Mind your own business."} I said, my fangs showing in anger. {"You're saying I'm obeying him?"}
Why would I? I laughed.
{"Why would I when he can't even touch me in the mortal world?"}
I smirked.

When I woke up, I was sitting in the place where Herus was. I looked at my hands and realized I wasn't dreaming anymore. I must have dozed off that enabled me to see him. If that is so, I should refrain from sleeping too much.
"Milord, the pureblood families have been gathered at the conference room, they are waiting for your presence." The servant kneels in front of me.
Hmm.
So i slept that much?
"What time did they arrive?"
"They arrived 4 hours ago, Milord."
I couldn't hold back my amusement, and I let out a laugh.
"Pft."
They must be fuming right now if that's the case. Maybe I should've slept more to aggravate those arrogant purebloods? I smiled at the thought. Yet even if I wanted to do that, I'm well aware of how I shouldn't provoke them too much.
After all, they're still being forced to follow me.
I got up from my seat and headed towards the room where they are all gathered. To my surprise, Christal was seating next to the vacant seat where I am supposed to seat in.
As soon as they saw me, they all bowed at my presence except for her.
Christal.
I raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing here, my queen?"
She refused to look at me and said in a sarcastic tone. "I'm the Queen, shouldn't I be present here?"
i frowned, what has gotten into her now?
And how did she know that I would be meeting the purebloods?
I didn't want to delay the meeting any further so I just ignored it for now. I headed in her direction and sat next to her, the pureblood family representatives seating after I did.
"I'm delighted to see you all again." I smiled, even if they were all scowling in discreet with contempt in their eyes.
Even my Queen looked displeased.
"We have made our move so it's no brainer that the werewolves will make their own. For that, we should continue attacking to lessen their numbers. Tomorrow, my men and I will personally attack a part of Red Blood Moon, doing so we're basically nit-picking their heart line right?" My eyes glowed in the darkness, the desire to irritate the Alpha King delighted me.
Gianna from the Ingram family smirks before speaking up from the silence. "No matter how I see it, it's ridiculous that you're trying to target the Alpha King first Milord, you're even coming personally. What will happen if you die? Who will tell us where the last sapphire descendant is?"
My mouth curled down in displease.
"Oh my, don't look so displeased my king. I am just concerned that you're taking this too lightly. There's a reason why even the Gods fear the Alpha King, if I were you I will take the Queen to ensure my life won't be easily taken.. right?"
I slammed my fists on the desk. "SHUT UP! MY QUEEN WILL STAY OUT OF DANGER!"
"I object." Christal cuts in.
I turned towards her. "You.. what did you say?"
"I said." She glares at me, her hand shaking in desperation. "I will come with you if you plan to kill him, i want to be there."
I won't allow any reunion between you and him.
"No." I bluntly said. "You will stay here, don't make me repeat myself."
