  JAXON's POV

  The time has come.

I gulped, my hand trembling a bit from nervousness as we made our way into the long hall inside the walls of Driscus manor, where the continental meeting will take place.

It was three of us; me, Syrena and the Alpha king.

As we continued our walk towards the room, every werewolf looked astonished to see the Alpha King, each of their heads turning as we passed by them. Who wouldn't? seeing the Alpha king in these chaotic days gives a person a sense of disbelief. After what happened in the arena, a lot of suspicions is towards us as of this moment.

Even right now, this meeting with the other alphas could just be a way of interrogating the Alpha King for information.

I scrunched my nose in annoyance, growling at the other foreign packs that dared to snarl at us.

"Leave them, we don't need unnecessary trouble,"

  "Yes Alpha king." I sighed.

Even though i wanted him to attend the meeting, why is it that everyone's looking at us like we are forcing our way in?

Hmph, the alphas were the ones begging for this conference!

As soon as we reached the end of the hallway, the Alpha king finally opens the door, revealing the 9 packs that were already seated waiting for us to come.

  Alpha Roberto of Stone Pack

Alpha Farrell of Dark Moon pack

  Alpha Ezekiel of Shadow Pack

  Alpha Iver of Midnight Pack

Alpha Julius of Night Shade pack

Alpha Louis of Moon Valley Pack

Alpha Rex of Litha Moon Pack

  Alpha Griffin of Silverfang Pack

  Alpha Carlo of Lichen Pack.

They gave us a wary expression, squinting their eyes as soon as we stepped into the room, the alpha king just shrugged their reactions off and went straight ahead to the vacant seat on the end of the other side of the long table.

There was another vacant seat, but i realized that it was for Alpha Damien. Since he was still caged in maria, guess he won't be making an appearance.

I chuckled, did the Alpha king forget that Alpha Damien is currently the alpha of Crescentine?

  I shook my thoughts off.

I stood behind him while he sat, just like every beta in the room who also accompanied their alpha. I thought that the silence was just temporary, but even when the Alpha king was already seated, none of them were able to utter anything- unlike their noisy reports that were sent to me just a day ago.

I leaned in, "Alpha King Zyrus, do you want me to start?"

"No," He says, looking annoyed. "Let them speak."

Alpha King Zyrus then places a hand gently on the table and said with a loud voice, "I thought it'll be noisy, but look how you're all well behaved in front of me right now."

  Someone coughs, catching our attention.

Alpha Louis of Moon Valley Pack.

"Alpha King, aren't you being too idly? there have been recent disasters that have been occurring this month, yet you still refused to hold the continental meeting-"

"I have permitted it already? have i not?" The Alpha king cuts him off.

"You pushed the date too far, that's why we're experiencing the consequences." He scowls, refusing to look at us.

"So you're saying it's my fault?"

Everyone snapped into silence, the heavy tension in the air worsening as they loomed over if they have offended the Alpha king. Thankfully, seeing he was giving a calm expression, i sighed in relief.

No one is even looking at him in the eye, each of them facing a different direction- well i can't blame them. Just the Alpha king himself inside the room was intimidating enough, what's more, if you decide to lock eyes with him.

I mean, the Alphas has still yet to recover from the fright from the very first alpha king.

"No need to be so nervous, i was just asking a question."

"R-Right." Alpha Louis stutters. "Saying it's your fault is an exaggeration.. right? i mean you must have your reasons for refusing to meet with us after all that happened, so we want to know what exactly caused the problem to progress to this state."

The Alpha king started to laugh, "Reason you say? why not ask Alpha Griffin?"

We all turned to Alpha Griffin of Silverfang. Upon hearing his own name, he gives us a skeptical look, confused as to what was the reason why the Alpha king said those words.

"What? why would i know the reason Alpha king?" Alpha Griffin asks.

  "You don't know?"

"I won't know if you don't tell me, Alpha King."

Alpha King Zyrus glares at him, "So your sister hasn't said anything to you at all?"

Alpha Griffin slams his fists on the desk, anger surrounding him as his eyes burned in hatred upon hearing the word 'sister' from the Alpha King's mouth. It was unbelievable how bold he was acting right now, even the other alphas were shocked at his reaction.

They carefully watched the scene unfold.

"Alpha king! My sister is already dead! what else do you want from her?!"

"Have i not been clear about my letter to you? Your sister played a significant role in playing in the hands of the enemy, if it weren't for her, we wouldn't be suffering this much loss." The Alpha king growls lowly, still calm despite the tension.

"What loss?! you mean your exposed relationship with a demi-god!?" Alpha Griffin stood up in fury.

It was clear that he was being overtaken by his emotions that he was failing to see how bad it is to talk back with useless rants.

I sighed, he lost his sister, so i guess it's natural for him to act that way.

"Cool your head Alpha Griffin, and sit down." The Alpha king commands, his eyes darkening in irritation.

  He hesitantly sat down quietly.

"Jaxon, hand over the evidence to Alpha Griffin."

I nodded, pulling out a document from Syrena's hands before placing it in front of Alpha Griffin, he carefully scans it. Not long, his eyes widened as soon as he realized the contents of the document.

  "This!" He exclaimed.

"Your sister has been spotted in several footages in the Human world, talking with different vampires, we even got to capture one of her subordinates- and they have confessed that their orders were to scan every pack perimeters, so the reason why we're being so easily attacked nowadays is that someone leaked all defense system in every packhouse to the Vampires. THIS is the loss that i was pertaining to Alpha Griffin, my relationship with a demi-god has got nothing to do with the recent attacks."

Alpha Griffin stood up angrily again, slapping the document on the table before walking out of the room.

I sighed, the Alpha king and Alpha Griffin had a friendly relationship before, but due to this matter, i guess i could consider their friendship lost forever.

The Alpha king chuckles bitterly, "Anyone else wants to interrogate me?"

"Alpha king," Alpha Julius from Night Shade pack calls. "Don't misunderstand us. We just want to know your real intentions that's why we want a clean answer before we talk about the more serious matters."

  "I'm all ears."

"Just what exactly is your relationship with that Demi-god? There was a witness that saw how she left with a vampire in the arena, could you please explain this?" he starts

Even i frowned at the thought of it. It's one of our greatest worries when the Alpha king permitted a continental meeting since the identity of the demi-god that they're so obsessive about is actually the luna of RedBloodMoon. We knew that revealing that fact now will only raise further rift between the werewolf society so we have decided to come up with a plan

A plan that interlinks with luna Christal.

"Then have you heard about my mate who recently appeared?" The Alpha king says, a bit uncomfortable at his own words.

"My niece." Alpha Roberto of Stone Pack sighs in frustration, all of the other alphas looking at him in shock.

"Your niece? the red-haired girl? amber?!" Alpha Julius gasps. "How could that be? they have met several times before, so why is the mate bond only acting at this moment?"

Alpha King Zyrus coughs uncomfortably, "Seems like Amber is a late bloomer. So.. is this enough to stop your indecent rumors about me?"

I stiffened at my spot, even Syrena was giving me nervous stares that our Alpha's bad acting would ruin our plans. But thankfully, no one suspected his statement since they all looked satisfied with the answer.

"Well, the demi-god did say you used her." Alpha Carlo of Lichen pack sighs, "Then can you just explain why were you using a demi-god? more so, you hid that matter to us."

"Let's just say," The Alpha King trails off. "That we have been expecting their hostility for a long time already. The demi-god was a useful piece to draw them out from the shadows, if it weren't for the relationship that i had with her, i would've never known the real location of the Mist territory."

  WHAT!?

THIS ISN'T PART OF THE PLAN!

My eyes widened, even Syrena looked like her eyes were gonna pop out from shock. yet even with how we felt, we kept our intense shock to ourselves, relying on the alpha king to solve the problem he just caused right now.

"So you just used her?" Alpha Julius.

The Alpha king nods. "It's a very simple matter, is it not?"

  IT'S NOT!!!!

i wanted to claw my face in frustration yet i held myself back.

Alpha Ezekiel coughs, "Since that matter is resolved, shall we start the real meeting now?"

  Everyone nods in agreement.
