Chapter 143

I tried kicking the door, but it didn't budge.

"Where the hell did he go?"

Feeling irritated that he left me alone in his bedroom, i used my powers. The aura around it vibrating through my hands. I was about to broke the door open if it wasn't for the sudden visit of a familiar presence.

  Syrena.

She opens the door, upon seeing my balled fist she sighs. " Alpha King knew you'll be like this, so he sent me here."

"Did you see him on the way?"

"Yeah, he broke our door just to call me," She closes the door behind her, "You're really mates, look at you trying to break a door like him."

"So? What did you do this time?" She adds.

I rolled my eyes. "Did i do something wrong? well or is it that he was just upset about the Arena incident?"

Now that i think about it, maybe that's why he was so pissed? was he so worried that he was venting his anger on me?

  I smirked at the thought.

When my eye lands on Syrena she just raised her shoulders in confusion. "I doubt that he's angry because of that, he doesn't have any reason to actually care about you, you're not even his mate."

I glared at her, feeling attacked by her words.

"Woah there," She chuckles. "I'm just warning you not to get too carried away, you should still remember that you don't have any werewolf presence right now. Anything can shake that interest of him towards you, you should be careful."

  "What do you mean?"

"Well, unlike werewolves that already have their own mates, some species like humans for example; find it hard to trust and love a person wholeheartedly at first glance, it will take them a good amount of time before they finally open their true hearts to their partner."

I chuckled, "We have all the time, he can fall in love with me anytime he wants."

She sighs, "I'm not finished yet. Not every relationship is mutual for them, even if they did like others at the start, there will be a time when one of them would fall out of love, and that is how they repeat the cycle of finding other partners."

I walked towards her, my eyes worried. "So you're saying this .. won't work out?"

"No, i'm just telling you to be careful not to make him so aggravated just like the time you were mates, that is a different situation. No matter what you would've done, he would obviously forgive you. But not this time, you'll feel how distant he could be. Fighting doesn't have any good outcome for a relationship, it just breaks your relationship with him slowly until eventually there's nothing left."

My eyes opened in fear, imagining if that were to happen. I held my hand on my mouth. "You're right, it was the same for the other hosts."

  "Other hosts?" She asks.

  "Gina had others, before me."

"So, you're saying she possessed body after body?"

"Yeah," I paced back in forth. "And they keep getting killed by their mates, due to not having any werewolf presence just like i do now. I .. I'm aware of that, but my stay here isn't really that bad. He's not treating me so bad just like the other hosts before me. So i never really thought that he would fall out of love- no.. maybe it's not even love but just some slight interest just like you said."

  I frowned at the thought.

She places a hand on my shoulder. "I have to tell you something, it's something about the chaos with oracles."

"What? It's not even related to me." I rolled my eyes, who cares about those people? I have my own share of problems.

She shook her head, "They were saying that the weather had something to do with a person of a half identity. A white-haired girl that had a tail on her back was exactly as they said."

"You're saying that's me?" I chuckled. "how can i even be involved in this shitty weather? who's the oracle huh? who made such reading?"

She stares at me with full seriousness. "Christal, all of the oracles in the content had the same divination, they can't even read other's fate just like they did before. They kept seeing your image in their head over and over again that's why it's been chaos ever since."

  I gulped, my heart tightening.

What? how could i even be involved in this weather?

I shook my head. "There's no saying that i'm the only girl that has that image in this world, it's impossible."

"I hope so, even the Dark witches are getting a bad feeling about this passive storm." She looks outside the window, the red bloody clouds coming into view. "I really hope it's not something related to you."
